Endowed By Creator Once Again; Supreme Court Justice Being Investigated; Anti-Sharia Law Initiatives; EPA Job Opening, No Experience Required; "Shove It"; NPR; Barack Obama

[Obama has put "endowed by the creator" back into his speeches about the Declaration of Independence, after three times pausing and then omitting the words.  Just in time for the election and just in time to get back in the good graces of those who were offended when he took those words out of his speeches......]

A Supreme Court justice is being investigated now by a member of Congress, as reported by the Huffington Post and discussed by the Wall Street Journal.
As per Wikipedia: Citizens United v Federal Election Commission, 130 S.Ct. 876 (2010), was a landmark decision by the United States Supreme Court holding that corporate funding of independent political broadcasts in candidate elections cannot be limited under the First Amendment. The 5–4 decision, in favor of Citizens United, resulted from a dispute over whether the non-profit corporation Citizens United could air a film critical of Hillary Clinton, and whether the group could advertise the film in broadcast ads featuring Clinton's image, in apparent violation of the 2002 Bipartisan Campaign Reform Act, commonly known as the McCain–Feingold Act.[2]
I mean, it says on the Huffington Post, the Supreme Court has done a tremendous disservice to the United States of America. They have done more to undermine our democracy with their Citizens United decision than all of the Republican operatives in the world in this campaign. They’ve opened the floodgates, and personally, I’m investigating articles of impeachment against Justice Roberts for perjuring during his Senate hearings, where he said he wouldn’t be a judicial activist, and he wouldn’t overturn precedents.
According to the WSJ: So, is the Chief on the hot seat?
Legal scholars think not.
“I think it’s probably an understatement to say it’s extremely unlikely the House of Representatives will do anything about this,” said University of North Carolina law professor Michael J. Gerhardt, to the HuffPo. “[I]n this case, it could just be called a question of judgment. It appears to me that a judge, and in this case, the chief justice of the United States, has the independence to exercise his judgment.”

The Atlantic writes: Will anti-Sharia law initiatives be in future election cycles what anti-gay marriage initiatives were before? That is, a cultural wedge issue the GOP uses to ensure that hard-core conservatives enthusiastically flock to the polls?

If so, then Oklahoma is the proverbial canary in the coal mine for this type of initiative. One of 11 ballot initiatives in the state this November, State Question 755, better known as the "Save Our State" constitutional amendment, would prevent courts from using international or Sharia law. The question made it to the ballot by passing the state Senate 41-2 and the House 82-10. In addition to potentially rallying the conservative base to the polls, the initiative, which bans something that is nearly impossible statutorily, is worth watching because the GOP may employ it in swing states two years down the line. http://www.theatlantic.com/politics/archive/2010/10/oklahomas-preemptive-strike-against-sharia-law/65081/

Yahoo news reports: [Barack Obama's greeting was] not totally friendly in Rhode Island where Obama has pointedly declined to endorse his party's candidate for governor. If anything, the White House made it clearer that Caprio will not get Obama's endorsement. "Out of respect for his friend Lincoln Chafee, the president decided not to get involved in this race," said White House spokesman Bill Burton. It was the first time the White House had cited Chafee as the reason for Obama's non-endorsement of a Democrat.
Obama can "take his endorsement and shove it," declared Democrat Frank Caprio, battling Republican-turned-independent Lincoln Chafee in a gubernatorial race rated tight in the polls. Chafee endorsed Obama during the 2008 campaign for the White House. [ He added that now Obama is coming to Rhode Island and treating it as his ATM machine...]
He said Republicans had driven the economy into a ditch and then stood by and criticized while Democrats pulled it out. Now that progress has been made, he said, "we can't have special interests sitting shotgun [Is he talking about his special interests - unions and ACORN?]. We gotta have middle class families up in front. We don't mind the Republicans joining us. They can come for the ride, but they gotta sit in back." [Wow!  This reminds me so much of making blacks "sit in the back", but I'm sure there is nothing racist about his choice of words- couldn't be.] http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20101025/ap_on_el_pr/us_obama

Townhall reveals: Last week, National Public Radio CEO Vivian Schiller took a break from her crusade for a government takeover of the media to swat a fly. With now-former NPR analyst Juan Williams suitably splattered across the evening news after politically incorrect comments he made on Fox News, Schiller can return to her real passion – the creation of a national network to ensure that in the future, you get your news from the government in general and NPR in particular.
Schiller could barely contain her rage at Fox News and at Williams last week, saying he should discuss his fear of boarding a plane with Muslim passengers with “his psychiatrist.” Those who understand what is at stake saw the Williams/Schiller dust up for what it really was – a declaration of war by one of the most powerful women in journalism against for-profit, non-liberal media. If Schiller and her liberal friends have their way, Fox and its viewers will pay the bill for her new government news network.
As Schiller explained in a speech to the NPR board of directors in 2009, it is public radio’s responsibility to fill the gap in journalism left by dying local television stations and newspapers. http://townhall.com/columnists/TaraServatius/2010/10/25/npr_ceo_vivian_schiller_key_architect_of_fcc_govt_takeover_of_the_news/page/full/

American Thinker writes: A very, very superior-minded man, Thomas Sowell [a black man and one of my true heroes], has amply demonstrated in his book, Economic Facts and Fallacies, that until the Great Society (the new Jim Crow) was enacted, black incomes were rising dramatically. Black education levels were catching up fast. The middle-class black community -- though still separate -- was as strong as or stronger than its white counterpart. Out-of-wedlock pregnancies in the black community were just a sliver above the tiny percentages in the white community. Well, it took less than a decade of LBJ's diabolical plan to see all that destroyed, and presto! The devil's party had got the majority of blacks right back on the plantation, held firmly in place there with the invisible shackles of addiction to handouts.
The federal housing ghettos promptly took the place of the old slave quarters, where no white man dared to tread -- not even police officers. The welfare office and the food stamp office became the new slave master's rations queue. ACORN took the place of the overseer. And the most diabolical part of all was that the new system was even better than Jim Crow at producing more numbers of dependent offspring. That's right. The black nuclear family that had thrived under Jim Crow, with just a tiny percentage of illegitimate births, suddenly disintegrated under LBJ's diabolical plot to give more in handouts for the more dependent kids a black (slave) could produce. And voilĂ . The black community now keeps itself voluntarily in slavery with a never-ending explosion of out-of-wedlock births. To top that off, Democrat devils ushered in control of the public schools by teachers' unions. They promptly destroyed public education in America, insuring that the black ghetto (slave quarters) will go on and on and on. http://www.americanthinker.com/2010/10/the_big_blue_d_stands_for_devi.html

This - from the Weekly Standard:
[Acting as our healer, our great come-together, post racial President, Barack Obama, the President of all we Americans], in a radio interview that aired on Univision on Monday,  sought to assure Hispanics that he would push an immigration overhaul after the midterm elections, despite fierce Republican opposition.
“If Latinos sit out the election instead of saying, ‘We’re gonna punish our enemies and we’re gonna reward our friends who stand with us on issues that are important to us,’ if they don’t see that kind of upsurge in voting in this election, then I think it’s gonna be harder and that’s why I think it’s so important that people focus on voting on November 2.”
Referring specifically to Republicans such as Senator John McCain, who are stressing border security and supporting strict immigration laws like Arizona’s anti-illegal immigration measure, Mr. Obama said, “Those aren’t the kinds of folks who represent our core American values.”  [So now we conservatives are the enemy, for our very own President has declared us so, while we are waging our war against terrorism, calling it just an overseas contingency operation.  Haven't we had enough of this?  Don't we long for another Ronald Reagan who proudly loved his county, knew her value, and brought us all together?  This Barack Obama is the very same man who said that if conservatives bring a knife to the fight, he will bring a gun.  But never accuse him of fomenting violence, right?] http://www.weeklystandard.com/blogs/obama-latinos-punish-your-enemies-voting-booth_511932.html

Human Events writes: Disturbingly, Project Vote, ACORN’s scandal-plagued voter registration and mobilization division, remains open for business. Project Vote has been part of the ACORN family since at least 1992 when Barack Obama ran a successful voter drive in Illinois.
Project Vote continues to operate out of ACORN’s Washington, D.C., headquarters.
Even worse, its voter drive is being run by Amy Busefink, an ACORN employee under indictment in Nevada for violating election laws. It might be understandable for an employer not to fire an employee until she is actually convicted of a crime, but this is ridiculous. Busefink should not be running a voter drive. http://www.humanevents.com/article.php?id=39568
