Russian/American terror-war exercises; Biden gaffes; Social Justice Week; Obama's intimidation; Obama's looting of Medicare; Anti-bullying speaker bullies students

From now on I will not be starting each news item with the source.  That source and the website link will continue to be placed at the bottom.  Please remember that the only words which are mine are bracketed and in italics.
Russian “Airborne Assault Forces” will be arriving in Colorado this May for joint terror-war exercises with U.S. soldiers, according to U.S. officials and Russian military personnel cited in media reports. The Kremlin’s Defense Ministry and the U.S. Department of Defense both said it would be the first time in history that American and Russian airborne special operations troops would be training together on U.S. soil.
Analysts and commentators across the alternative media expressed alarm about the controversial announcement, likening it to a scene out of the movie Red Dawn or the predictions made by the late radio host Bill Cooper. It was not immediately clear exactly why the Obama administration decided to allow the scheme.
“The Russian soldiers are here as invited guests of the U.S. government; this is part of a formal bilateral exchange program between the U.S. and Russia that seeks to develop transparency and promote defense reform,” Cmdr. Wendy L. Snyder, U.S. Defense Press Officer for policy, told The New American in an e-mail. “This is the first time that American and Russian special operations troops have participated in a bilateral exercise.”

Biden, notorious for his gaffes, said when it comes to Iran policy, it was time to heed the timeless advice of Theodore Roosevelt,  to "speak softly and carry a big stick."
"I promise you, the president has a big stick," Biden said. [I don't know whether to laugh at the double meaning, or to feel threatened by the fact that the most powerful man in America is proud of the big stick he has with which to threaten us, for in no way does this President walk softly.]

Vice President Joe Biden jokingly berated campaign donors at a fundraiser this morning in Washington D.C.

“I guess what I’m trying to say without boring you too long at breakfast – and you all look dull as hell, I might add. The dullest audience I have ever spoken to. Just sitting there, staring at me. Pretend you like me!” he said according to the pool report.
Social Justice Week [at Jones College Prep, a Chicago Public Schools “selective enrollment” school], was created to promote community advancement through dialogue and community service based activism. Moreover, we hope to unify the voice of various JCP and community organizations in which to facilitate collaboration for the betterment of the community at large and promote a unified human rights advancement initiative.
The school is, according to U.S. News & World Report, a Top 100 high school in the country. It’s one of the best of the best--the cream of the crop.
On Wednesday of Social Justice Week, Black Star Project, a Chicago-based community organizing group, was brought into the school after school hours to teach students about “non-violent” protesting. Led by Phillip Jackson, former “Chief of Education” under former Mayor Richard Daley, the optional discussion was focused on students fighting back against gun crime.

Jackson's co-presenter, Camille Williams of the Peace in the Hood movement, made several inflammatory statements about gun ownership and the National Rifle Association. She claimed the NRA is indifferent to gun violence. She also asserted she has received emails from the NRA and/or its members claiming she is "going to hell" for her advocacy and "these porch monkeys deserved to die," referring to black children killed by guns. [And we wonder why our younger generations have strayed from what made America great?  It's called indoctrination.]
Try this thought experiment: You decide to donate money to Mitt Romney. You want change in the Oval Office, so you engage in your democratic right to send a check.
Several days later, President Barack Obama, the most powerful man on the planet, singles you out by name. His campaign brands you a Romney donor, shames you for "betting against America," and accuses you of having a "less-than-reputable" record. The message from the man who controls the Justice Department (which can indict you), the SEC (which can fine you), and the IRS (which can audit you), is clear: You made a mistake donating that money. Describing the givers as all having "less-than-reputable records," the post went on to make the extraordinary accusations that "quite a few" have also been "on the wrong side of the law" and profiting at "the expense of so many Americans."
"We don't tolerate presidents or people of high power to do these things," says Theodore Olson, the former U.S. solicitor general. "When you have the power of the presidency—the power of the IRS, the INS, the Justice Department, the DEA, the SEC—what you have effectively done is put these guys' names up on 'Wanted' posters in government offices." Mr. Olson knows these tactics, having demanded that the 44th president cease publicly targeting Charles and David Koch of Koch Industries, which he represents. He's been ignored.
The United States and Japan on Thursday finalized a controversial agreement to transfer 9,000 U.S. Marines off the island of Okinawa.
But U.S. interests in the Pacific will not go undefended.
The Obama administration plans to deploy 3,000 dogwood trees to Japan to mark the 100th anniversary of the Japanese cherry blossom sneak attack on Washington, D.C., the Washington Free Beacon has learned.
The most politically brazen feature of Obamacare has always been its looting of Medicare. About half of Obamacare’s costs are to be covered with money taken from an already nearly bankrupt program for seniors. And the most politically perilous aspect of this ploy is Obama-care’s cuts in Medicare Advantage funding, which would cause many seniors to lose their preferred health plans. Under the implementation schedule stipulated in Obamacare, many seniors would either lose their plans, or learn that they are going to lose them, before the election that will likely decide Obamacare’s—and Obama’s—fate.
But the administration didn’t stop there. Instead, it launched an $8.35 billion “demonstration project” to postpone the vast majority of Obamacare’s Medicare Advantage cuts until after what Obama likes to call his “last election.” In truth, this isn’t really a demonstration project at all. It’s something closer to the opposite: an attempt to keep Obamacare’s effects from being demonstrated until it’s too late for voters to respond.
As many as 100 high school students walked out of a national journalism conference after an anti-bullying speaker began cursing, attacked the Bible and reportedly called those who refused to listen to his rant “pansy asses.”
The speaker was Dan Savage, founder of the “It Gets Better” project, an anti-bullying campaign that has reached more than 40 million viewers with contributors ranging from President Obama to Hollywood stars. Savage also writes a sex advice column called “Savage Love.”
Savage, and his husband, were also guests at the White House for President Obama’s 2011 LGBT Pride Month reception. He was also invited to a White House anti-bullying conference.

Obama wants to help Indonesians get advanced degrees from the United States. The problem? He will use your taxpayer money to do it.
This story was broken last month by but the Statement of Work (SOW) is published on
Indonesian nationals will benefit from this proposal because they get free education! US educational institutions will benefit because they get a new flurry of funds. But how does the average Joe taxpayer benefit from this?
And to add further insult, these Indonesian citizens with Masters degrees will compete for the same jobs as Americans and have the potential to stay in this country after gaining employment. Would it be a stretch to say this proposal could wind up taking jobs away from the American people?
Yahoo News reports: President Obama misrepresented the position of Republican Rep. Virginia Foxx on college debt. The president quoted Foxx as saying that she had “very little tolerance for people who tell me they graduate with debt.” But Foxx was speaking explicitly about those with very large amounts of debt, a fact that Obama omitted and that changes the meaning of the North Carolina congresswoman’s statement.
The sin of omission was in Obama’s speech in Boulder, Colo., as the president pushed for the extension of current federal student loan interest rates.
Obama, April 24: I want to read a quote. This is from a Republican congresswoman. I didn’t really understand this.  (Laughter.) I’m quoting her. She said that she has “very little tolerance for people who tell me they graduate with debt… because there’s no reason for that.”  She said, students who rack up student loan debt are just sitting on their butts, having opportunity “dumped in your lap.”
Here are the problems:  She SAID that student who have large amount of debt, not just student loan debt.  [Obama said he was QUOTING her, and then lied about what she said.  Obama then went on to suggest that people GOOGLE her, and snickered while he said it.  I believe this was once again inviting violence against one of his "enemies".]
THE PRESIDENT:  You guys can Google her or what have you.
Her true quote: I have very little tolerance for people who tell me that they graduate with $200,000 of debt or even $80,000 of debt because there’s no reason for that. We live in an opportunity society and people are forgetting that. I remind folks all the time that the Declaration of Independence says ‘life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.’ You don’t sit on your butt and have it dumped in your lap. [Obama the divider, the hate-monger, the any-means-necessary-to-get-what-I-want President.]
Daily Caller reports: In a shocking development in the Operation Fast and Furious investigation, documents show Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives agents allowed grenade parts to walk in addition to guns.
The emails also show Obama administration officials acknowledging that they may lose track of grenades but would still be able to accomplish their original objective even if the grenades explode.

Breitbart reports: President Obama’s new campaign pitch is that Americans should have his back. He’s released posters via his campaign for African Americans for Obama; campaign email after campaign email has asked Americans to get Obama’s back. The implication in all of this: Obama has your back, so you should have his.

Daily Caller reports: Following in the footsteps of three of their colleagues, Texas Republican Rep. Pete Olson and Louisiana Republican Reps. Steve Scalise, Rodney Alexander, and Charles Boustany are calling for the resignation of Environmental Protection Agency Region 6 Administrator Al Armendariz.[He who said his strategy is to crucify the industry.]
“Administrator Armendariz has demonstrated a pattern of hostility toward the oil and gas industry in Texas,” Olson said. “The abuse of power has gone on long enough. Apparently, it didn’t satisfy him to deny Texas the opportunity to manage its own air permitting or oil and gas development. His recently revealed comments demonstrate his desire to rule by fear and intimidation. Texans deserve better — it’s time for Administrator Armendariz to be replaced.”
Sun Herald reports: Based on Paul Harvey’s seminal essay, “If I were the devil,” Free Market America’s provocative video-letter to America rings with the same thoughtful intensity. “If I wanted America to fail” addresses the perilous side-effects of hitching our nation’s economic well-being to the bandwagon of environmental extremism.  [Do yourself a favor.   Bookmark this for when you have 5 minutes, and then be sure to watch it!]  VIDEO LINK:

WTHR reports: Millions of illegal immigrants are getting a bigger tax refund than you. Eyewitness News shows a massive tax loophole that provides billions of dollars in tax credits to undocumented workers and, in many cases, people who have never stepped foot in the United States. And you are paying for it!  he loophole is called the Additional Child Tax Credit. It's a fully-refundable credit of up to $1000 per child, and it's meant to help working families who have children living at home.
But 13 Investigates has found many undocumented workers are claiming the tax credit for kids who live in Mexico – lots of kids in Mexico.
"We've seen sometimes 10 or 12 dependents, most times nieces and nephews, on these tax forms," the whistleblower told Eyewitness News. "The more you put on there, the more you get back."  [And we want government to take over more programs?  How is that working out for us?]
Daily Caller reports: President Obama, his immediate aides and his cabinet secretaries have used taxpayer dollars to woo young voters at more than 130 universities and schools between March 2011 and March 2012, according to a survey of news reports and press releases reviewed by The Daily Caller.
National Review reports on poor Terry List: a teacher in Saginaw Township, Mich., has a depressing lesson for her students: “I would not recommend to my pupils to become a teacher in Michigan.”
What’s discouraging her? A proposed pension-reform bill in Michigan would derail her plans to retire — at age 47.
After these rapacious reforms, List would have to work another 16 years, to age 63, in order to earn her retiree health-care benefits. “I understand we have to tighten our belts,” she laments, “but we don’t have to use a tourniquet and cut off the blood supply entirely.” Under the reforms, such a tourniquet means she could still retire now and have a guaranteed income for the rest of her life, but she’d have to pay for her own health care until age 65 — like, you know, most Americans.

White House Atrocities Prevention Board, Exxon to drill for Russia; Kagan helped write Critical Race Theory; Teaching community organizing in public schools; Gender Bender Day at school; Supremes have questions while Arizona touts results; Mexicans moving back; EPA plans to crucify and make examples of oil companies;

World Net Daily writes: President Obama’s National Security Adviser Samantha Power will head the new White
House Atrocities Prevention Board, which is tasked with formulating a response to war
crimes, crimes against humanity and mass atrocities.
Power helped to found a global military doctrine called Responsibility to Protect that was
also devised by several controversial characters, including Palestinian legislator Hanan
Ashrawi, a staunch denier of the Holocaust who long served as the deputy of late
Palestinian Liberation Organization leader Yasser Arafat.[This woman is married to the
radical Cass Sunstein, buddy of Obama.  She was thrown off Obama's campaign in 2004
when she called Hillary Clinton a monster.  Also remember that Obama just recently signed into law a bill which among other things was to put an end to all the President's Czars.  He immediately said he would not comply
with that part of the law, along with about 20 others.]
Breitbart reports: As a result, the price we’re paying per-gallon for gasoline is steadily
climbing, and othercountries are choosing to go where we won’t for oil. Thus the oil Canada
was going to sellus via Keystone will now go to China and oil up near the Arctic will be
going to Russia. Andthe company Russia has hired to do the extraction is none other than
 Exxon Mobil.
Think about how backward things are under Obama—the largest oil company in America is
going to be drilling in waters around the Arctic where they expect to find 85 billion barrels in
recoverable oil. And instead of sending it to Texas refineries, and thereafter to gas stations
across America, the oil will be sent to Russia and refined for their use. http://www.breitbart.

Breitbart News has discovered previously unknown handwritten

notes from [Supreme Court Justice] Elena Kagan to radical

professor Derrick Bell, sent to Bell as Kagan worked on his

seminal 1985 article on Critical Race Theory in the Harvard Law

(99 Harv. L. Rev. 4).

The notes, which were not among materials presented to the Senate during Justice Kagan’s confirmation hearings, are preserved among Bell’s papers at the New York University archives.

Indoctrination 101: 'Gender Bender Day' leads to 'Social

Justice Week' (Part 2) reported on two events held during
“Social Justice Week” at Chicago Public Schools’ Jones College
Prep. One event featured a community organizer who taught
students how to protest, and engaged in inflammatory rhetoric
 against the National Rifle Association.

Moody explained that Social Justice Week came about after a botched “Gender Bender
Day,” held during Spirit Week in the fall. On that day, boys could dress like girls and vice
versa, with the goal being to make the school more inclusive for students who struggle with
their gender identity.

It backfired, resulting in the identity-questioning students feeling ridiculed. School leaders
decided a full-blown Social Justice Week was warranted. Moody thought the school could
handle it because Jones College Prep is “pretty hip and pretty progressive and pretty open-

Washington Timers reports: Supreme Court justices took a dim view of the Obama administration’s claim that it can stop Arizona from enforcing immigration laws, telling government lawyers during oral argument Wednesday that the state appears to want to push federal officials, not conflict with them.
“It seems to me the federal government just doesn’t want to know who’s here illegally,” Chief
Justice John G. Roberts Jr. said at one point.
Solicitor General Donald B. Verrilli Jr. said the federal government has limited resources and
should have the right to determine the extent of calls it gets about possible illegal
immigrants. “These decisions have to be made at the national level,” he said.
But even Democratic-appointed justices were uncertain of that. “I’m terribly confused by your answer,” said Justice Sonia Sotomayor, who went on to say that the federal government can always decline to pick up illegal immigrants when Arizona officials call.
“It seems odd to think the federal government is deciding on employer sanctions and has unconsciously decided not to punish employees,” she told Mr. Clement. Only eight justices were present for the arguments. Justice Elana Kagan recused herself  from the case, presumably because she was the Obama administration’s solicitor general in 2010, when the law was being debated in Arizona.  Justice Scalia asked: just what does State Sovereignty mean if it does not include the ability to defend your borders?

CNS News reports: At a press conference on Tuesday on Capitol Hill, former State
Senator Russell Pearce said that the law has achieved several of its goals, including the
voluntary departure of thousands of illegal aliens from Arizona, a reduction in crime and
prison population, and a shrinking number of students in Mesa Public Schools that led to
the closure of 13 elementary schools.
CNS News reports on just what kind of government executives our President has hired,
and the total disregard for civility when dealing with Americans.  Sen. James Inhofe (R-OK)
took to the Senate floor today to draw attention to a video of atop EPA official saying the
EPA’s “philosophy” is to “crucify” and “make examples” of oil and gas companies - just as
the Romans crucified random citizens in areas they conquered to ensure obedience.
Inhofe quoted a little-watched video from 2010 of Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)
official, Region VI Administrator Al Armendariz, admitting that EPA’s “general philosophy” is
to “crucify” and “make examples” of oil and gas companies.

I was in a meeting once and I gave an analogy to my staff about my philosophy of  enforcement, and I think it was probably a little crude and maybe not appropriate for the meeting, but I’ll go ahead and tell you what I said:  “It was kind of like how the Romans used to, you know, conquer villages in the Mediterranean.  They’d go in to a little Turkish town somewhere, they’d find the first five guys they saw and they’d crucify them. “Then, you know, that town was really easy to manage for the next few years.”
“It’s a deterrent factor,” Armendariz said, explaining that the EPA is following the Romans’ philosophy for subjugating conquered villages.
CNS News reports: First Lady Michelle Obama boasted at a campaign event in Omaha,
Neb. on Tuesday that "we made history" when the president's health care proposal was
enacted and the administration issued a regulation mandating that insurance companies
provide women with free contraceptives. The regulation mandates that nearly all health
insurance plans in the United States must provide women with sterilizations and all FDA-
approved contraceptives (including those that can induce abortions) without any fees or
Free Beacon reports: Members of the media are questioning the Obama administration’s
numerous “official business” trips to swing states, during which he has been giving stump
speeches and raising campaign funds.
High-profile Washington reporters engaged in a line of questioning on Twitter today that
seems to indicate that even staunch supporters of the president think that the use of
taxpayer funds for campaign trips is getting out of hand.

The Des Moines Register writes: A Des Moines woman who publicly thanked President Barack Obama on Tuesday for helping her obtain health insurance actually is receiving her coverage through a long-
standing state program.  Ibson said Wednesday that she didn’t mean to imply that her current coverage was provided by the new federal health reform program.
Yahoo News writes: The good news is President Barack Obama has solved the illegal
problem. According to the Washington Times, a study suggests the outflow of
Mexican illegals has  exceeded the inflow for the first time since the Great Depression. The bad news is the reason for this outcome is that under Obama there are not enough
jobs, even those that native-born Americans will not do. Mexican illegal immigrants are
increasingly braving their own country's drug violence in lieu of braving the bad economy in
the U.S.

My computer has been hacked into from Ukraine and I am unable to even log on.  I will try to use my friend's computer.

We read glowing reports and articles about "Sustainable Agriculture." It is difficult to create an awareness of the potential harm because the verbiage and slogans used sound so benevolent. The reality is that foodshed regulations will give environmental groups and government agencies control over all means of production of the food consumed by the American people. Through increased taxation and regulation, American citizens will be stripped of their wealth and property and all resources will be redistributed as government sees fit.
The new agricultural system has these changes and more:
  1. Each community will grow its own food on individual and/or community-owned farms that form a boundary around the community.
  2. All farming will be sustainable and eco-friendly. Organic farming will be certified and monitored by a farm stakeholder committee. This will ensure that food labelled “Organic” is authentic.
  3. Constant measurements will be taken to guarantee that the sustainability and eco-friendly BMPs (best management practices) parameters are maintained.
  4. Organic farming will be productive without the use of pesticides or unnatural fertilizers.
  5. Industrial farming will no longer be allowed to damage the earth.
  6. Importing foreign food products will be reduced in order to increase local production and help the local economy.
  7. “A sustainable community is one which provides all of its own needs for air, water, land (or food and fiber), and energy resources within the confines of its own site.”
  8. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- It has become an article of faith among some policy makers and advocates, including Michelle Obama, that poor urban neighborhoods are food deserts, bereft of fresh fruits and vegetables.
  9. But two new studies have found something unexpected. Such neighborhoods not only have more fast food restaurants and convenience stores than more affluent ones, but more grocery stores, supermarkets and full-service restaurants, too. And there is no relationship between the type of food being sold in a neighborhood and obesity among its children and adolescents.

    Rules for Power Tactics:

    1. Power is not only what you have but what the enemy thinks you have.
    2. Never go outside the experience of your people.
    3. Whenever possible, go outside of the experience of the enemy.
    4. Make the enemy live up to their own book of rules.
    5. Ridicule is man's most potent weapon.
    6. A good tactic is one that your people enjoy.
    7. A tactic that drags on too long becomes a drag.
    8. Keep the pressure on with different tactics and actions, and utilize all events of the period for your purpose.
    9. The threat is usually more terrifying than the thing itself.
    10. The major premise for tactics is the development of operations that will maintain a constant pressure upon the opposition.
    11. If you push a negative hard and deep enough, it will break through into its counterside.
    12. The price of a successful attack is a constructive alternative.
    13. Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it.
  11. gfRules to test whether power tactics are ethical:

    1. One's concern with the ethics of means and ends varies inversely with one's personal interest in the issue.
    2. The judgment of the ethics of means is dependent upon the political position of those sitting in judgment.
    3. In war the end justifies almost any means.
    4. Judgment must be made in the context of the times in which the action occurred and not from any other chronological vantage point.
    5. Concern with ethics increases with the number of means available and vice versa.
    6. The less important the end to be desired, the more one can afford to engage in ethical evaluations of means.
    7. Generally, success or failure is a mighty determinant of ethics.
    8. The morality of means depends upon whether the means is being employed at a time of imminent defeat or imminent victory.
    9. Any effective means is automatically judged by the opposition to be unethical.
    10. You do what you can with what you have and clothe it in moral garments.
    11. Goals must be phrased in general terms like "Liberty, Equality, Fraternity," "Of the Common Welfare," "Pursuit of Happiness," or "Bread and Peace."

Indiana’s law prohibits employers from making union membership a condition of getting or keeping a job. The union’s February lawsuit claimed the law violated its members’ Fourteenth Amendment guarantee of “equal protection” under the law.
But an amended complaint filed on Wednesday added a Thirteenth Amendment claim as well. The new lawsuit suggests that when nonunion employees earn higher salaries and better benefits because of the union’s negotiation on behalf of its members, the union has been forced to work for those nonunion employees for free.
And being forced to work without compensation, the union suggested in its revised lawsuit, is slavery.

[The amazing thing about the following video is how tongue-tied and nonsensical Joe Biden's answer is.  He can't seem to find a complete sentence or make a cogent response.] For instance: "So you are right, in a pure free-market the college tuition would have to be lower because there would be fewer people going to school, they wouldn't have as much coming in. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------A Tea Party group in my district is typical of the reports we are hearing from all across the country.  This group submitted articles of incorporation as a non-profit to the state of California, and received approval within a month.  Then, they tried to register as a non-profit with the IRS.  Despite repeated and numerous inquiries, the IRS stonewalled this group for a year and a half, at which time it demanded thousands of pages of documentation – and gave the group less than three weeks to produce it.

The IRS demanded the names of every participant at every meeting held over the last two years, transcripts of every speech given at those meetings, what positions they had taken on issues, the names of their volunteers and donors, and copies of  communications they had with elected officials and on and on.
On a conference call this afternoon, the FBI announced a reversal of its decision to cut off the intelligence sharing of information from the Terrorist Screening Center (TSC). The FBI shut down reporting to the 77 fusion centers on March 1, and PJM reported on the shutdown yesterday.
The FBI had announced that that it would be resuming the TSC reporting this coming Monday, but without the Personal Information Intelligence (PII) that fusion centers had previously had access to (as I updated on the article yesterday afternoon). Fusion center officials had said yesterday that resuming the TSC reports without the PII would be “effectively useless.”
As recently as Wednesday, FBI officials were telling fusion centers and congressional staffers that PII would not be included in the resumed reporting. Two days and one PJ Media exclusive report later, and the FBI had completely changed course. It remains to be seen if the reporting is as the FBI represented it will be when it resumes on Monday.

Under the guise of granting higher wages and healthcare benefits to daycare providers and personal care attendants, Connecticut’s Democratic-led state House has passed a bill that will force these workers to collectively bargain with the state.  However, the director of the Connecticut chapter of Americans for Prosperity (AFP)said on Friday that the measure, proposed as an amendment to another bill, will force daycare providers to unionize with the Service Employees International Union (SEIU). According to JR Romano of AFP in Connecticut, the bill is “a direct assault on female business owners.”

ABC News contributor Donna Brazile on Sunday - like so many Obama-loving media members have in recent months - said, "The president can't control gas prices."
This led George Will to marvelously ask of his This Week co-panelist, "If he can stop the seas from rising, why can't he bring down gas prices?" (video follows with transcript and commentary):
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Rep. Allen West (R-Fla.) criticized the FBI on Monday for removing nearly 900 pages of training material it deemed to be offensive, saying it showed extremist Muslim groups were influencing national strategy.
The FBI made the move after Sen. Dick Durbin (D-Ill.) complained about some passages, including one that advised agents to "never attempt to shake hands with an Asian" and another that said agents should expect "outbursts" from Arab minds.
West said that by removing such passages, the FBI was committing "cultural suicide" and allowing groups like the Muslim Brotherhood to influence U.S. policy.
"It would be preemptively sacrificing American sovereignty" to approve the pipeline, White Hosue [sic] Press Secretary Jay Carney said, because a route for the northern portion of the pipeline has not been established.
"The United States Congress -- a very important body, takes American security and sovereignty very seriously, or should -- is saying that we will, in advance -- blind -- approve a proposal for a pipeline, a proposal for which does not exist," he also said.
The Keystone XL pipeline has undergone 3 years of review, but the State Department refused to grant a permit after pressure from environmentalists demanding the route through Nebraska be changed.
The bill passed through Congress earlier this week with a veto proof majority that included 69 Democrats voting for the newest measure. The latest route running through Nebraska has already been approved by the state legislature and signed by the governor in that state
-Young America's Foundation's fourth annual GPA Redistribution Petition and Video Contest has produced yet another stellar student entry, this time from Carthage College. This year, the national public policy debate has focused on "fairness" through taxing the wealthy in an attempt to redistribute wealth. Many young people support this socialistic policy.

Yet, when students at Carthage where asked if they would be willing to sign a petition to redistribute GPA points from the top 10% to the rest of the college, most of them said NO. One student said, "No, because I worked hard for my grades!"

Another said, "At Carthage, each student has an equal opportunity to get the GPA they desire." And another, "I don't want my GPA being taken away from me if I had an 'A'."
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------The UN is to conduct an investigation into the plight of US Native Americans, the first such mission in its history.
The human rights inquiry led by James Anaya, the UN special rapporteur on indigenous peoples, is scheduled to begin on Monday.
Many of the country's estimated 2.7 million Native Americans live in federally recognised tribal areas which are plagued with unemployment, alcoholism, high suicide rates, incest and other social problems.
The UN mission is potentially contentious, with some US conservatives likely to object to international interference in domestic matters. Since being appointed as rapporteur in 2008, Anaya has focused on natives of Central and South America.
The US signed up in 2010 to the declaration, which establishes minimum basic rights for indigenous people globally.
Anaya said: "My visit aims at assessing how the standards of the declaration are reflected in US law and policy, and identifying needed reforms and good practices."

"The war on terror is over," a senior official in the State Department official tells the National Journal. "Now that we have killed most of al Qaida, now that people have come to see legitimate means of expression, people who once might have gone into al Qaida see an opportunity for a legitimate Islamism."

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------The year after Ronald Reagan entered the Oval Office with the goal of restoring America to greatness; Elena Kagan penned a telling and disturbing senior thesis titled "To the Final Conflict: Socialism in New York City, 1900-1933." In that body of work, Kagan lamented that "a coherent socialist movement is nowhere to be found in the United States"; and that," no "radical party" had yet "attained the status of a major political force." Kagan went on to sound a rally cry for "those who, more than half a century after socialism's decline, still wish to change America."
After graduate school Kagan went on to become Dean of Harvard Law, where she removed Constitutional Law classes from the curriculum, and replaced those necessary and time honored classes with required studies of international law. And in what appears to be a game of using a mutual enemy's resources to accomplish ones' true objective, Kagan also accepted a $20 million grant from Saudi Prince Alwaleed bin Talal - a noted Shariah Law proponent - to implement an "Islamic Studies" program.;_ylc=X3oDMTBucmhobGR0BF9TAzM5ODMwMTAyNwRhYwNkZWxNc2dz&mid=2_0_0_1_92667_AD7ci2IAAN3WT5YZ%2BQGPFFHGey4&fid=Inbox&sort=date&order=down&startMid=0&filterBy=&.rand=840360894&hash=3e23a78f47bc0fe191f1362fa710c8f5&.jsrand=1889602--
The Communist Party USA opened its national conference in New York this weekend, and the speakers weren’t shy about their plans for the United States of America.
In what constituted a clear step-by-step stratagem, Sam Webb, the party’s chair, opened his remarks by saying that the upcoming elections are only be part of “a grander design [that] will connect the dots between our immediate and longer-range political task.”
(Related: Are We Headed Toward the Constitution or The Communist Manifesto? This Breakdown Tells You)
“To put it differently,” he elaborated, “we hope to connect the struggle at the ballot box today with the struggle for socialism tomorrow.”
Some residents on the shores of Lake Michigan don't want turbines cluttering up their views, so they put a stop to the Scandia Offshore Wind project set for the waters of Lake Michigan in Oceana and Mason Counties. Now, however, new floating turbine technology could bring a wind farm to the waters of Lake Michigan without raising the ire of such residents; by placing them beyond sight.

"I get it ... I understand how waterfront property owners feel about turbines in front of their houses," said Charles Nordstrom, the senior engineer on the Glosten Associates PelaStar project who grew up on the shores of Lake Erie. "The Scandia project had a chilling effect on offshore wind in the Great Lakes. With PelaStar, we are going to melt that chill."

UN to investigate plight of Native American Indians; Obama's Medicare slush fund; Global warming professor admits he was wrong; "Now that's justice for Trayvon", in Mobile

Weazelzippers reports:  The UN is to conduct an investigation into the plight of US Native Americans, the first such mission in its history.
The human rights inquiry led by James Anaya, the UN special rapporteur on indigenous peoples, is scheduled to begin on Monday.
Many of the country’s estimated 2.7 million Native Americans live in federally recognised tribal areas which are plagued with unemployment, alcoholism, high suicide rates, incest and other social problems.
The UN mission is potentially contentious, with some US conservatives likely to object to international interference in domestic matters. Since being appointed as rapporteur in 2008, Anaya has focused on natives of Central and South America.
A UN statement said: “This will be the first mission to the US by an independent expert designated by the UN human rights council to report on the rights of the indigenous peoples.”
Spectator reports: For years, the President and his congressional accomplices have been telling us that the Medicare Advantage (MA) program is too costly. As Obama claimed during a 2009 interview with ABC's George Stephanopoulos: "We are spending a lot of money subsidizing the insurance companies around something called Medicare Advantage.… And if we eliminate that and other programs, we can potentially save $200 billion…" This canard was the pretext for the massive slashes in MA funding he authorized when he signed Obamacare into law. As the election year approached, however, the President's reelection team evidently noticed a potential problem -- the seniors most likely to be affected by these MA cuts were due to find out about them just a few weeks before the November election.
And to win this November, they know they must keep as many seniors as possible in the dark about what has been done to Medicare Advantage. It isn't enough to simply lie. They must maintain the false illusion that the program's cost and benefits have not been altered. Thus, $8 billion of our money must be used to shore up the program until the President has weathered the election. That this is unethical and probably illegal is utterly irrelevant to Obama and his mendacious minions.
The UK Telegraph reports: “The problem is we don’t know what the climate is doing. We thought we knew 20 years ago. That led to some alarmist books – mine included – because it looked clear-cut, but it hasn’t happened,” Lovelock said.
“The climate is doing its usual tricks. There’s nothing much really happening yet. We were supposed to be halfway toward a frying world now,” he said.
“The world has not warmed up very much since the millennium. Twelve years is a reasonable time… it (the temperature) has stayed almost constant, whereas it should have been rising – carbon dioxide is rising, no question about that,” he added.
Presumably, Professor Lovelock will now be donating all his royalties from his earlier alarmist bestsellers to help fund those proper, principled, decent scientists around the world – Fred Singer, Richard Lindzen, Bob Carter, Ian Plimer, Tim Ball et al – whose careers have been blighted and whose lives have been made misery for having said precisely what Lovelock is now admitting, only much, much earlier.
WKRG News reports: Mobile police need your help to catch a mob that beat Matthew Owens so badly that he's in critical condition.
According to police, Owens fussed at some kids playing basketball in the middle of Delmar Drive about 8:30 Saturday night. They say the kids left and a group of adults returned, armed with everything but the kitchen sink.
Police tell News 5 the suspects used chairs, pipes and paint cans to beat Owens.
Owens' sister, Ashley Parker, saw the attack. "It was the scariest thing I have ever witnessed." Parker says 20 people, all African American, attacked her brother on the front porch of his home, using "brass buckles, paint cans and anything they could get their hands on."   As the attackers walked away, leaving Owen bleeding on the ground, Parker says one of them said "Now thats justice for Trayvon."

State laws fight voter fraud; Trade Romney tax returns for Obama college transcripts; Obama not radical enough for some in Hollywood; Missouri nullifies Obamacare; Obama "apoplectic" over GSA; Global warming caused by the sun; Michelle behind Ann Romney smear; US government training foreigners for American jobs; US college professors teaching Occupy in Tehran; Muslims don't eat dogs; More Executive Orders for 2nd term of Obama

Yahoo News reports: New state laws designed to fight voter fraud could reduce the number of Americans signing up to vote in this year's presidential election by hundreds of thousands, a potential problem for President Barack Obama's re-election bid.
Voting laws passed by Republican-led legislatures in a dozen states during the past year have sharply restricted voter-registration drives that typically target young, low-income, African-American and Hispanic voters - groups that have backed the Democratic president by wide margins.
A further 16 states are considering bills that would end voter registration on election days, impose a range of limits on groups that register voters and make it more difficult for people to sign up, according to the Brennan Center for Justice at New York University Law School.
Daily Interlake opines: Some politicos say it is because Mitt Romney paid a lower tax rate than Barack Obama. You know what? Who cares? They both followed the law, and paid what they were supposed to pay. Did Mitt Romney write the tax code? No. Would we think he would be a better president if he were so stupid that he paid twice as much in taxes as he was legally required to do? Um, I hope not. Even Warren Buffet is smart enough not to pay taxes he doesn’t owe!
So this whole thing is a phony issue. I have no idea when the press became so powerful that journalists could demand to see private documents held by candidates.
Turns out that Barack Obama — yes, PRESIDENT Barack Obama — sent out three messages from his personal Twitter account in early April challenging Mitt Romney to come clean with his financial records. The last Tweet in particular said #WhatsRomneyHiding.”
It is hard to find irony any deeper or richer than that! This president really thinks he can make transparency an issue? For four years now, reporters have been asking the president to release his college transcripts, and they have been met with nothing but the stony silence of “I don’t have to.”
Now, think about it. What’s more likely to reflect on one’s performance as president — How much money you made? Or how good a student you were? Don’t mean to offend anyone, but lots of folks make piles of money without being very smart. On the other hand, if President Obama was getting straight A’s at Columbia University and Harvard Law School, then that would suggest he is a problem solver who knows how to use the old noodle.
So Mr. Romney ought to double down on the president’s challenge: “I’ll see your tax returns, and I’ll raise you three college transcripts!”
Independent Journal writes: Celebrity Matt Damon, former staunch supporter of President Obama in his 2008 presidential campaign, has now changed his mind.
In the new issue of Elle Magazine, Damon said in the interview, “You know, a one-term president with some balls who actually got stuff done would have been, in the long run of the country, much better.” If Hollywood turns against Obama in 2012 citing a lack of results, 2012 could be a very long and painful year for the President.  [The reason, however, is that Obama has not been radical enough....]
The Mackinac Center reports: The Missouri state House voted Thursday to “nullify” Obamacare, making it illegal for federal or state officials to even attempt to enforce the law.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ The NY Post reports: President Barack Obama is "apoplectic" over reports of lavish spending at the General Services Administration, senior adviser David Axelrod said Sunday.
The GSA is under congressional investigation for spending more than $820,000 on a Las Vegas-area conference -- a revelation that has led to other allegations about the agency's practice of improperly billing taxpayers for meals, trips and other expenses.
"On the GSA issue, he was I think it's fair to say -- apoplectic," Axelrod said on NBC's "Meet the Press."
"Because we made a big effort to cut waste, inefficiency, fraud against government, saved tens of billions of dollars doing it on just this very kind of thing. And so this was very enraging to him, and of course he acted quickly, the administration acted quickly and changed the management there."

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Deutsche Welle Academy reports: The authors Fritz Vahrenholt und Sebastian L√ľning, employees of Germany's second-biggest energy company RWE, maintain that less than half the world's warming to date is human-made. They say solar activity, sunspots and magnetic fields, which change in cycles, are responsible.
As the sun is about to go into a cold cycle, they say, this will counteract global warming and we need not fear the worst. Calls for urgent action are no more than "panic-mongering". "I feel duped on climate change", Vahrenholt told the media. The German boulevard paper "Bild" ran the headline "The CO2 lie".,,15900048,00.html
The National Enquirer reports: MICHELLE OBAMA brain-stormed the scheme to sic a pit bull strategist on the GOP contender’s wife ANN ROMNEY and it backfired!
Daily Caller reports: While the president has been urging “insourcing,” the government has been sending money to the Philippines to train foreign workers for jobs in English-speaking call centers.
According to New York Democratic Rep. Tim Bishop and North Carolina Republican Rep. Walter Jones, this is unacceptable and “shocking.”
The pair are calling on the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) to immediately suspend what is known as the Job Enabling English Proficiency (JEEP) program.
According to Jones’ office, in 2010, after the two men compelled USAID to end a similar training program in Sri Lanka, the agency assured the congressmen that they would “conduct a review to ensure the project will not take any jobs away from Americans.”
Weekly Standard reports: An alarming news report from Iran's Press TV, a propaganda arm of the Iranian government, showing American professors gathering in Tehran to discuss the Occupy Wall Street Movement:  The professors interviewed on Press TV include Alex Vitale of Brooklyn College, Heather Gautney of Fordham University, and John Hammond of City University of New York.

Powerline reports: ONE MORE THING: Muslims don’t eat dogs. Barack Obama lived with a Muslim stepfather in a Muslim area of Indonesia. Dogs were not eaten there; presumably not in Obama’s Muslim household. So Obama’s claim in his autobiography that he ate dog in Indonesia may well be false–an error introduced by Bill Ayers or whoever actually wrote Obama’s autobiography. But it is way too late now for Obama to disavow the autobiography that he allegedly wrote.
NY Times reports: When he announced a cut in refinancing fees for federally insured mortgages last month, for example, he said: “If Congress refuses to act, I’ve said that I’ll continue to do everything in my power to act without them.”
Aides say many more such moves are coming. Not just a short-term shift in governing style and a re-election strategy, Mr. Obama’s increasingly assertive use of executive action could foreshadow pitched battles over the separation of powers in his second term, should he win and Republicans consolidate their power in Congress.
