In his inaugural address, Obama promised “not only to create new jobs, but to lay a new foundation for growth.” He promised to “build the roads and bridges, the electric grids, and digital lines that feed our commerce and bind us together.” He promised to “restore science to its rightful place and wield technology’s wonders to raise health care’s quality and lower its cost.” And he promised to “transform our schools and colleges and universities to meet the demands of a new age.” Unfortunately the president’s scorecard on every single one of those bold pledges is pitiful.
But the total number of private-sector jobs is still 4.3 million below the January 2008 peak. Meanwhile, since 2008, a staggering 3.6 million Americans have been added to Social Security’s disability insurance program. This is one of many ways unemployment is being concealed.
Welcome to Obama’s America: nearly half the population is not represented on a taxable return—almost exactly the same proportion that lives in a household where at least one member receives some type of government benefit. We are becoming the 50–50 nation—half of us paying the taxes, the other half receiving the benefits.

[As I recall, he also said "we are the people we have been waiting for".  He said: "the journey will be difficult. The road will be long. I face this challenge with profound humility, and knowledge of my own limitations. But I also face it with limitless faith in the capacity of the American people. Because if we are willing to work for it, and fight for it, and believe in it, then I am absolutely certain that generations from now, we will be able to look back and tell our children that this was the moment when we began to provide care for the sick and good jobs to the jobless; this was the moment when the rise of the oceans began to slow and our planet began to heal; this was the moment when we ended a war and secured our nation and restored our image as the last, best hope on Earth. This was the moment - this was the time - when we came together to remake this great nation so that it may always reflect our very best selves, and our highest ideals. Thank you, God Bless you, and may God Bless the United States of America."]
As I’ve noted before, said Barack Obama, Thomas Jefferson once held a sunset dinner here with an envoy from Tunisia — perhaps the first Iftar at the White House, more than 200 years ago.  And some of you, as you arrived tonight, may have seen our special display, courtesy of our friends at the Library of Congress – the Koran that belonged to Thomas Jefferson.  And that’s a reminder, along with the generations of patriotic Muslims in America, that Islam — like so many faiths — is part of our national story.
Lest we forget, the first and second foreign war that American engaged in were Muslim wars. So when Islamic supremacists and their stooge in the White House tell you that Muslims have always been a part of the American experience, they are not entirely wrong. 197 years ago in American History – War declared against Algiers, year 1815.  Commodore Stephen Decatur was sent in command of a squadron of ten warships to attack the Algerian naval force in the Mediterranean.
Jefferson had a copy of the Quran so that he might understand the enemy.  Jefferson, in defense of America, was studying the  enemy’s war plan…
Like today, the leaders of America in the late 1700’s tried to settle the piracy issue through diplomacy. As such, two American diplomats, Thomas Jefferson, then the American ambassador to France, and John Adams, the American ambassador to Britain, were dispatched to London in 1786 in an attempt to resolve the piracy issue. They met with Sidi Haji Abdul Rahman Adja, the
“Dey of Algiers” ambassador to Britain. It was during that meeting in London when Jefferson asked the Muslim ambassador why Muslims held so much hostility towards America, a nation they had virtually no contact with at that time.
The answer is as relevant today as it was in 1786 – perhaps even more so. Ambassador Sidi Haji Abdul Rahman Adja stated:
“Islam was founded on the Laws of their Prophet, that it was written in their Qur’an, that all nations who should not have acknowledged their authority were sinners, that it was their right and duty to make war upon them wherever they could be found, and to make slaves of all they could take as Prisoners, and that every Muslim who should be slain in Battle was sure to go to Paradise.”
In a move certain to fuel the debate over Obama's qualifications for the presidency, the group "Americans for Freedom of Information" has Released copies of President Obama's college transcripts from Occidental College ... Released today, the transcript school indicates that Obama, under the name Barry Soetoro, received financial aid as a foreign student from Indonesia as an undergraduate. The transcript was released by OccidentalCollege in compliance with a court order in a suit brought by the group in the Superior Court of California . If he was not a foreign student, then he should be prosecuted for obtaining financial aid under false pretenses.
The transcript shows that Obama (Soetoro) applied for financial aid and was awarded a fellowship for foreign students from the Fulbright Foundation Scholarship program. To qualify, for the scholarship, a student must claim foreign citizenship.
This document would seem to provide the smoking gun that many of Obama's detractors have been seeking. Along with the evidence that he was first born in Kenya and there is no record of him ever applying for US citizenship, this is looking pretty grim.
Gary Kreep of the United States Justice Foundation has released the results of their investigation of Obama's campaign spending. This study estimates that Obama has spent upwards of $950,000 in campaign funds in the past year with eleven law firms in 12 states for legal resources to block disclosure of any of his personal records. Mr. Kreep indicated that the investigation is still ongoing but that the final report will be provided to the U.S. Attorney general, Eric Holder. Mr. Holder has refused to comment on the matter... Isn't it illegal to use campaign funds for personal expenses? So why isn't he being prosecuted?
Paul Hollrah over at FSM did so yesterday and believes the issue can be resolved by Obama answering one simple question: What passport did he use when he was shuttling between New York, Jakarta, and Karachi ?
A business owner pens a letter about possible firings.  In part: People that overspent their paychecks suddenly feel entitled to the same luxuries that I earned and sacrificed a decade of my life for.  Yes, business ownership has its benefits but the price I've paid is steep and not without wounds. Unfortunately, the cost of running this business, and employing you, is starting to eclipse the threshold of marginal benefit and let me tell you why:

I am being taxed to death and the government thinks I don't pay enough. I have state taxes. Federal taxes. Property taxes. Sales and use taxes. Payroll taxes. Workers compensation taxes. Unemployment taxes. Taxes on taxes. I have to hire a tax man to manage all these taxes and then guess what?   I have to pay taxes for employing him. Government mandates and regulations and all the accounting that goes with it, now occupy most of my time. On Oct 15th, I wrote a check to the US Treasury for $288,000 for quarterly taxes.  You know what my "stimulus" check was? Zero. Nada. Zilch.

The question I have is this: Who is stimulating the economy? Me, the guy who has provided 14 people good paying jobs and serves over 2,200,000 people per year with a flourishing business? Or, the single mother sitting at home pregnant with her fourth child waiting for her next welfare check?

If you lose your job, it won't be at the hands of the economy; it will be at the hands of a political hurricane that swept through this country, steamrolled the Constitution, and will have changed its landscape forever. If that happens, you can find me in the South Caribbean sitting on a beach, retired, and with no employees to worry about.

*Cash-strapped hospitals across the country are sending out pink slips as they prepare for possible Medicare reimbursement cuts and state challenges to expanding Medicaid benefits under federal healthcare reform.
Hospitals in Chicago, Nashville, and Cumberland, Md., already have laid off hundreds of employees, according to various news accounts. And in Englewood, N.J., officials at Englewood Hospital and Medical Center are threatening to lay off 70 registered nurses, The Record reports.
Chicago's Northwestern Memorial Hospital, the primary teaching hospital for Northwestern University's Feinberg School of Medicine, told the Chicago Tribune it had laid off 230 employees, part of an effort to cut costs by 25 percent by 2017.
Nashville, Tenn.-based Saint Thomas Health cut 150 nonclinical positions at Saint Thomas Hospital and Baptist Hospital, The Tennessean reported, including closing a wellness center.
"Hospital executives said Englewood is facing the same financial challenges as other employers and is responding to trends seen in other hospitals, including decreasing numbers of patients, declining federal reimbursement for Medicare patients and uncertainty about whether Medicaid will be expanded in New Jersey to cover more uninsured patients," according to the article.
By proposing to end a century of federal control over oil and gas drilling and coal mining on government lands, Mitt Romney is making a bid for anti-Washington voters in key Western states while dangling the promise of a big reward to major campaign supporters from the energy industry. -
The "America Deserves Better" ad -- which assails Obama for a super PAC commercial that suggested Romney's Bain Capital business dealings contributed to a woman's death from cancer because she lost her health insurance -- moved "pure independent" voters not aligned with either party 6 percentage points toward Romney, the Vanderbilt University/YouGov Ad Rating Project study indicated.

On May 31, 2012, Assistant Attorney General Tom Perez issued a directive to affirmatively recruit people with these “targeted disabilities.”
This DOJ policy does not merely involve prohibitions against discrimination, but rather the documents reveal deliberate recruitment efforts to hire as attorneys and staff for the Department of Justice people suffering from psychiatric disorders and intellectual disabilities.  Moreover, applicants can “self-identify” their disability by means of the “Standard Form 256, Self Identification Disability.”
Those with “targeted disabilities” may be hired through a “non-competitive” appointment. That means they don’t have to endure the regular civil service competition among applicants, but can be plucked from the stack of resumes and hired immediately instead.
Two University of Colorado professors, one from Boulder and one from Denver, have put together an Electoral College forecast model to predict who will win the 2012 presidential election and the result is bad news for Barack Obama. The model points to a Mitt Romney victory in 2012.
Ken Bickers from CU-Boulder and Michael Berry from CU-Denver, the two political science professors who devised the prediction model, say that it has correctly forecast every winner of the electoral race since 1980.{%223685203575842%22%3A10151076286083649}&action_type_map={%223685203575842%22%3A%22news.reads%22}&action_ref_map=[]
-Solis’ statement marked the release of the Bureau of Labor Statistics’ annual youth unemployment report. Solis said that the report showed positive signs for young job seekers, noting that the youth unemployment rate had fallen to 17.1 percent over the past two years.
“The youth unemployment rate showed a significant decline, falling to 17.1 percent — down a percentage point from last year and two points from 2010. Meanwhile, the share of young people employed in July 2012 climbed back up to 50.2 percent from its historic low last year,” she added.
However, the youth unemployment report Solis cited only covers April to July, when youth employment swells as summer job seekers fill hospitality and food service jobs.
The state of Nebraska is following the lead of the state of Arizona in announcing that, in the Cornhusker State, illegal aliens that qualify for deferred action under President Obama’s recent administrative amnesty will not qualify for in-state tuition, welfare benefits, or a driver’s license.
On August 20, Raub was sentenced to up to 30 days in a psychiatric facility after he was detained by federal law enforcement on August 16 over some Facebook posts that criticized the U.S. government and questioned the official story behind the 9/11 terrorist attacks. He also referred to “starting a revolution.”
Whitehead said that veterans have since been contacting him from across the country claiming they too were victims of wrongful detention in psychiatric institutes like Raub. Apparently, there are civil commitment laws in other states as well, he said.  “No warrant for his arrest and no search warrant,” Whitehead replied. “They haven’t [charged him with a crime] and they’re not going to.”
Raub complained to his attorney that one of the psychiatrists that he was seeing threatened to “brainwash” him and force him to take medication.
“That really scared him,” he said.

[Staff Sgt. Robert Troy Drebenstedt of northern Michigan has returned to America after receiving severe injuries while serving in Afghanistan.  I am proud to write that nearly 700 people in his city of only 1700 people supported this military hero by coming to a spaghetti dinner fundraiser last nite.  Nearly $10,000 was raised!  Small town life is personal and supportive and wonderful!  He is hospitalized in Texas and would be pleased, I am sure, to receive cards and letters from Americans.  If you can, please send a card to:

[DO we really expect the mainstream media to cover this - or will they just keep up attacks on Akin?] Minnesota House DFL minority leader Paul Thissen is calling for Duluth Rep. Kerry Gauthier to end his campaign for reelection to the Minnesota legislature after his sexual encounter last month at an interstate rest stop.
Gauthier, a Democrat, was questioned by police on the evening of July 22 at the Thompson Hill rest area off Interstate 35, where he met a 17-year-old boy for sex.
The two arranged the meeting on Craigslist, and the teen admitted he had told Gauthier he was 18 when responding to the post from the 56-year-old state lawmaker. The age of consent in Minnesota is 16.
No charges were filed against Rep. Gauthier, but his DFL colleagues are clearly disappointed.
Starting at the end of this month the Democratic National Convention will open with a focus on Islam.  20,000 Muslims are expected to attend according to the Bureau of Indigenous Muslim Affairs (BIMA), the national Muslim American non-profit coordinating the two days of events they claim are non-political.  ”Jumah at the DNC” begins August 29 and will start with a Friday afternoon jummah prayer followed by other unnamed programs and events, leading up to the Islamic Regal Banquet. The following day will be an all day Islamic Cultural and Fun Fest which will include discussions on the topics of Islamaphobia, Anti-Shariah, Middle Eastern Crisis, Patriot Act, National Defense Authorization Act and more.  The purpose, according to BIMA, is to attract national and international attention to the plight of American Muslims and to hold political parties accountable for issues that affect them.  However, not all Muslims feel that BIMA represents them and M. Zuhdi Jasser M.D., Founder and President of the American Islamic Forum for Democracy, has expressed serious concerns.

(FMW)B reports the Michigan senate seat held by two term Senator Debbie Stabenow is considered a toss up to leaning Democrats by most D.C. pundits and analysis. In spite of a significant financial advantage and the benefit of bringing back federal investments into Michigan, Senator Stabenow expected to have a tough re-election campaign on her hands against either of the two Republican front runners. In our July 28th poll for Fox 2 News, Senator Stabenow has a 52.60% to 42.92% lead (9.68 points) in head to head matchup against former U.S. Congressman Pete Hoekstra.
In the span of two weeks, Hoekstra has wiped out the gap and a narrow 2.35 point advantage. While the positive Hoekstra margin is within the margin of error, it represents a 12.03 point shift in the campaign. The aggregate results for ballot matchup are listed below:

Having opened last month in just a single Texas theater and facing complaints from the president’s supporters, the “2016: Obama’s America” was shown in 169 theaters last weekend is slated to be in 800 this weekend, producers tell Secrets.
Just as shocking: Over the weekend it earned $7,391 per theater, topping huge hits like “The Dark Knight Rises,” “The Bourne Legacy,” and “The Campaign.” Last weekend, it earned $1,249,000, a 293 percent one-week surge. “Expendables 2″ earned $8,670 per theater, tops in the country. What’s more: It was the 13th overall money maker last week, following a movie that was showing in over 1,100 theaters.
“2016: Obama’s America” is based on the conservative author Dinesh D’Souza’s book “The Roots of Obama’s Rage,” and suggests that the president wants to downsize the influence of the United States.

The NPC report identifies no less than 250 major barriers that must be overcome before alternative fuels can reach “wide-scale commercialization.”
The changes researchers consider necessary before green tech can really catch on include: major improvements to electric car batteries; more advanced hydrogen storage technologies; and genetic engineering to boost feedstock yields and thereby drive down biofuel costs.
Back to ethanol. Earlier this year, the feds finally allowed the ethanol tax credit to expire. Over the last three decades, taxpayers have forked over $20 billion in subsidies for ethanol products to allow the oil substitute to gain a small part of the market. Today, nearly 40 percent of American corn crops go to biofuels, a wildly inefficient use of resources.
Consider this: Back in 1944, the first estimate of total global crude oil reserves was 51 billion barrels. Today, that figure is 1.4 trillion, with cumulative production over the last 66 years clocking in at twenty times the original estimate. And regarding natural gas, the U.S. has expanded its proven domestic reserves to 2.6 trillion cubic feet — enough to power this country for centuries to come.
Last week we wrote about an advocacy group that’s claiming milk, despite everything we grew up learning, is bad for us. Not only is it not particularly healthy but, as this group advises, it is so bad for us that our children should be banned from drinking it with their school lunches.
Let’s say milk is really that bad for us. That means that for decades we have been forced to pay for the advertising telling us that milk is good for us. Commodity promotions boards use revenue from product purchases to promote those same products. The “Got Milk?” campaign is one such advertisement.

NASA’s claim that Greenland is experiencing “unprecedented” melting is nothing but a bunch of hot air, according to scientists who say the country's ice sheets melt with some regularity.
A heat dome over the icy country melted a whopping 97 percent of Greenland’s ice sheet in mid-July, NASA said, calling it yet more evidence of the effect man is having on the planet.
But the unusual-seeming event had nothing to do with hot air, according to glaciologists. It was actually to be expected.
"Ice cores from Summit station [Greenland’s coldest and highest] show that melting events of this type occur about once every 150 years on average. With the last one happening in 1889, this event is right on time," said Lora Koenig, a Goddard glaciologist and a member of the research team analyzing the satellite data.
NASA ice scientist Tom Wagner told the Associated Press researchers don't know precisely how much of Greenland's ice had melted in this latest event, but it seems to be freezing again.

About those 1 billion rounds of ammo; Union protests at US Marine Barracks; Obama doesn't take vets seriously; CA taxpayers are paying off mortgages in California; Martha's Vineyard: Obama losing his touch; Our taxpayer dollars paid for Obama green energy ads; Romney leads in Wisconsin; Obama's dark side being noticed; Dems got Akin on the ballot; EPA pushed back by Court of Appeals; Switzerland takes exception to Obama movie

(*NaturalNews) The alternative media scored a huge victory last week with the joint coverage of the U.S. government's purchase of over one billion rounds of anti-personnel "hollow point" ammunition. The ammunition is to be use domestically, not by the military.
So now, in a desperate effort to try to diffuse this story -- which is really a story about the U.S. government stockpiling ammo to be used against the American people -- the media is focusing on the Social Security Administration ammo purchase of 174,000 rounds... a tiny drop in the bucket compared to the 1.4 billion rounds of ammo so far acquired by the Department of Homeland Security.
The SSA, it turns out, explains away the 174,000 rounds of ammo it purchased by saying, essentially, "We needed the ammo."
The SSA has hundreds of armed agents running around the country with guns, didn't you know? As the SSA itself states, "These investigators have full law enforcement authority, including executing search warrants and making arrests. They use traditional investigative techniques, and they are armed when on official duty." (
Somehow, it seems that the folks at the International Longshoremen’s Association misunderstood Candidate Barack Obama’s 2008 statement: “If they bring a knife to the fight, we bring a gun.”
Since the target of the Longshoremen’s union protests is the U.S. Marines, according to this union press release, ‘misunderstood’ might actually be an understatement:
Union longshore workers from many Atlantic Coast District Ports are joining forces outside the United States Marine Barracks in Washington, DC to protest the loss of handling military cargo at the Port of Charleston, South Carolina.  Hundreds more members of the International Longshoremen’s Association are also picketing simultaneously at the Port of Charleston.
Both demonstrations in Washington and the Port of Charleston are to protest the US Marines allowing Portus Stevedoring Company, a Jacksonville-based company, to move its military cargo operation from Jacksonville, Florida to Charleston but bypassing the use of ILA workers in Charleston.
It should be noted that the union protests are not over the Marines actually using non-union labor, but of using labor from a different union. .
President Obama said Monday he isn’t taking two groups of military veterans currently running campaign ads against him “too seriously.”
“I don’t take these folks too seriously. One of their members is a ‘birther’ who denies I was born here, despite evidence to the contrary,” Obama told The Virginian-Pilot. “You’ve got another who was a tea party candidate in a recent election.”
Contrary to what voters were led to believe, California took the unprecedented step this month to give banks and struggling homeowners up to $100,000 in taxpayer funds to reduce underwater mortgages.
Originally, banks and lenders were supposed to pay 50 percent of the cost of reducing the principal for those whose homes are worth less than their mortgage. But when the banks refused, California took the controversial step of paying the entire amount, up to $100,000.
[The Boston Herald's front cover last Sunday included the face of Obama along with the headline: The thrill is gone, saying Obama loses his touch even with true believers].  Economically depressed Americans may be sour on President Obama’s Vineyard vacation and, truth be told, the island doesn’t seem all that excited about it either!
A cruise through Edgartown center yesterday yielded no “I Vacationed With The President” T-shirts, no “Welcome To The Vineyard” signs and no cardboard cutouts of the first family for tourist photo ops. Even Edgartown Books, which always put together a bag of summer reading for the Obamas and the Clintons before them, hadn’t bothered to get together a literary care package for the first family as of yesterday.

There have been 2,527 Department of Homeland Security (DHS) employees and co-conspirators convicted of corruption and other criminal misconduct since 2004, according to a federal auditor.
The Labor Department paid out hundreds of thousands of dollars in federal stimulus funds to a public relations firm to run more than 100 commercials touting the Obama administration’s “green training” job efforts on two popular MSNBC cable shows, records show.
The commercials ran on MSNBC on shows hosted by Rachel Maddow and Keith Olbermann in 2009, but the contract didn’t report any jobs created, according to records recently reviewed by The Washington Times.

Poll: Romney grabs lead in Wisconsin

The poll showed that Republican voters have rallied behind the Romney-Ryan ticket, with 93 percent saying they will vote Republican, and that Wisconsin independents have shifted away from the president, who holds just a 4-point lead with them after enjoying a 14-point lead last month. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Obama’s dark side

Increasingly fewer voters are buying what Mr. Obama is selling. According to Gallup, Mr. Obama is losing to Mr. Romney by 2 points, 47 percent to 45 percent. Even more telling, only 36 percent approve of Mr. Obama’s management of the economy, and a mere 30 percent support the president’s handling of federal deficits. On top of those dire numbers is the fundamental disconnect between Mr. Obama’s left-wing dogma and background as a community agitator with the normal views of Main Street USA. His animosity for the average voter was made plain when he sneered about mainstream Americans bitterly clinging to their guns and religion. Now the president is targeting those people’s beliefs.
Call it a wise investment in light of his recent comments: Democrats wanted Missouri Republican congressman Todd Akin to win his state’s hotly contested Senate GOP primary because they believed he gave incumbent Senator Claire McCaskill her best shot at retaining her seat. As the Washington Post reported earlier this month:
There’s a reason why Democrats spent over $1.5 million trying to help Akin win his three-way primary.

A federal appeals court dealt a major blow to environmentalists and a significant setback to the Obama administration’s clear-air agenda Tuesday by striking down a key Environmental Protection Agency rule limiting power-plant emissions.
The U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit ruled 2-1 that the agency’s Cross-State Air Pollution Rule, meant to curb harmful pollutants from drifting downwind and harming the air quality in neighboring states, went too far and exceeded the EPA’s “statutory authority.”
In its ruling, the majority wrote that it was not passing wisdom or judgment on the merits of the EPA’s rule, but it made clear that it must stay within the scope of the power that Congress gave the agency.
Switzerland hit back Tuesday at a US presidential election campaign video that portrays the country as a tax haven.
In the video, a character named Miss Swiss Bank Account describes the Republican candidate Mitt Romney as a "boss millionaire with accounts everywhere", the ATS news agency reported.
The film gives "the impression that having a bank account in Switzerland is dubious in itself and its only aim is to hide money from the tax authorities," Switzerland's Federal Department for Foreign Affairs (DFAE) said.

*The great Thomas Sowell writes about Executive Orders: For example, the merits or demerits of President Obama's recent executive order, suspending legal liability for young people who are here illegally, presumably as a result of being brought here as children by their parents, can be debated pro and con. But such a debate overlooks the much more fundamental undermining of the whole American system of constitutional government.
The separation of powers into legislative, executive and judicial branches of government is at the heart of the Constitution of the United States — and the Constitution is at the heart of freedom for Americans.
No president of the United States is authorized to repeal parts of legislation passed by Congress. He may veto the whole legislation, but then Congress can override his veto if they have enough votes. Nevertheless, every president takes an oath to faithfully execute the laws that have been passed and sustained — not just the ones he happens to agree with.
If laws passed by the elected representatives of the people can be simply over-ruled unilaterally by whoever is in the White House, then we are no longer a free people, choosing what laws we want to live under.
Soros-funded marxists to occupy the RNC: Republican delegates arriving in Tampa for the convention this week will likely find one thing more oppressive than the humidity: hordes of motley Occupiers, political puppeteers, Teamsters, Code Pink activists dressed as giant female body parts, open-borders extremists, vegan Marxists, and tattooed anarchists, all assembling for their quadrennial temper tantrum.
One major target is the Republican presidential nominee, Mitt Romney, and anything ever associated with him. Plans include a tent city called “Romneyville” and protests against any companies assisted by Romney’s old firm, Bain Capital.

[protesters] and their ACLU lawyers have been “in negotiation” with Tampa Mayor Bob Buckhorn and the city council for several months, demanding permits, demanding special restraints on the police, and threatening lawsuits if they don’t get their way.

Blood Of Afghan Betrayal On Obama's Hands It's now clear why so many U.S. troops have fallen prey to Afghan insider attacks: The administration disarmed them while arming their Afghan trainees, making them sitting ducks.

With U.S. and NATO troop deaths from so-called green-on-blue attacks climbing past 100, military brass last week reversed a standing order requiring troops to remove their magazines from their weapons while quartered inside bases with their "trusted Afghan partners."
Rogue Afghan soldiers or police have easily gotten the jump on their trainers, shooting them in cold blood with the rifles and ammunition issued by the U.S. Ten of our troops have died this way in just the past two weeks.
Former Amalgamated Transit Union local 689 president Mike Golash, now an “Occupy” movement organizer, was caught on tape Sunday revealing his political goals: overthrowing capitalism in the United States and instituting a communist government.
“Progressive labor is a revolutionary communist organization,” Golash said during an Occupy DC “People’s Assembly” on August 19.
“Its objective,” he added, “is to make revolution in the United States, overthrow the capitalist system and build communism.”
Golash said he and his comrades are “trying to learn something from the historical revolutions of the past: the Russian revolution, the Chinese revolution, the revolutions in Cuba and Eastern Europe.”
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Does President Obama’s health care law empower an “unelected, unaccountable” panel of bureaucrats to make decisions that will cause people to lose access to health care? “Yes,” according to the man who spoke for the president when Democrats passed the law.
Fox News Sunday’s Chris Wallace asked former White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs about the Independent Payment Advisory Board (IPAB), a 15-person panel designed to control health care costs by cutting payments to doctors.
“Medicare patients, millions of them, will lose access to Medicare benefits,” Wallace said to Gibbs, citing a Medicare actuary report. Gibbs tried to argue that Obamacare will lower costs by encouraging health care providers to prevent illnesses rather than simply treat them, but Wallace countered that “if the providers don’t do it, then what happens is, under your plan, this unelected board, 15 bureaucrats, come in and they decide, what — you are laughing at it, but that is it.”
Gibbs accepted Wallace’s observation that IPAB will cause people to lose access to health care.  “I guess I’m laughing at your characterization of [IPAB],” he said. “They are medical professionals. They are people that we trust to make medical decisions.”
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov warned the West on Tuesday against any unilateral action on Syria after President Barack Obama said U.S. forces could act if the Syrian leader deployed chemical weapons against rebels trying to topple him. Russia and China have opposed military intervention in Syria throughout 17 months of bloodshed and have vetoed three U.N. Security Council resolutions backed by Western and Arab states that would have raised pressure on Damascus to end violence.
Mr. Obama and the Democrats raised a combined $75 million during July, according to Federal Election Commission reports filed Monday, compared with $101 million for Mr. Romney and the Republicans. The Democrats had about $124 million in cash on hand, most of it in Mr. Obama’s campaign account, while the Republicans had $186 million.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Rhode Island election officials will be registering voters and handing out free voter IDs at Pawtucket’s minor league ballpark.
Secretary of State Ralph Mollis’ office says a registration center will open about an hour before the Pawtucket Red Sox [team stats] take on the Red Wings of Rochester, Minn. Tuesday night at McCoy Stadium.
A new state law asks voters to show government-issued identification at the polls.
The state is providing free IDs to voters who lack a driver’s license, U.S. passport, military ID, bus pass or other government-issued identification.

The Arab Spring takeover of Egypt by the Muslim Brotherhood has run amok, with reports from several different media agencies that the radical Muslims have begun crucifying opponents of newly installed President Mohammed Morsi.
Middle East media confirm that during a recent rampage, Muslim Brotherhood operatives “crucified those opposing Egyptian President Muhammad Morsi naked on trees in front of the presidential palace while abusing others.”  [Islam - the religion of peace.]

Original Chinese Proverb:
“Give a man a fish, and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish… and you feed him for a lifetime.”

Latest Chinese Proverb Import:
“Give a man a welfare check, a cell phone, cash for his clunker, food stamps, section 8 housing, Medicaid, 100 weeks of unemployment checks, a 40-ounce malt liquor, needles, drugs, contraceptives, and designer Air Jordan shoes… and he will vote Democrat for a lifetime.”
-So now we’re told by George Mitchell, Middle East envoy to Obama, that America will be ‘closely monitoring’ Israeli birth statistics…  So much for Obama ‘not meddling’ in what other nations do.Mitchell has apparently suggested that Jewish births in Judea and Samaria would be violations of Obama’s prohibition on ‘natural growth’. Let’s translate, shall we? If any Jewish parents dare to have more Jewish children in Judea and Samaria, Obama will be angry.
Since when is it acceptable for America to mandate how many children parents living in a sovereign nation can have…?
And why isn’t Obama cracking down on the truly illegal Palestinian Arab settlements in east Jerusalem…? You know – the ones built on land purchased fairly and owned legally by Israelis…?
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- In Bealesville, OHIO, coal miners line up to shake hands with Mitt Romney.
The feds have asked a judge to strike from the public record the most “scandalous” details of a bombshell sexual-discrimination lawsuit against Janet Napolitano and the Department of Homeland Security that refer to oral sex and an odd bathroom prank.
The lewd details are included in senior law-enforcement official James Hayes’ suit claiming retaliation anti-guy bias.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ A provision of President Obama’s health care law imposes a second Medicare tax on investment income for Americans classified as wealthy, effectively raising taxes on investment income and taxing investors twice. The provision, a little-known part of ObamaCare, levies a 3.8 percent Medicare tax on investment income for couples making more than $250,000 or individuals making more than $200,000 a year. The tax is scheduled to go into effect on January 1, 2013.
Currently, the government levies a 2.9 percent Medicare payroll tax on all wages, with half (1.45%) paid by the individual and half by the employer.
Beginning in 2013, couples making more than $250,000 (or individuals making $200,000) will have to pay an additional 3.8 percent Medicare tax on any investment income (unearned income) they might have.
In a book set for publication Tuesday, a politics and government professor at The Citadel claims President Obama’s 2009 health care reform law was, in part, a union-driven effort to organize 21 million health care workers.
In ”Shadowbosses: Government Unions Control America and Rob Taxpayers Blind,” Mallory Factor describes a December 9, 2008 memo from Service Employees International Union (SEIU) Healthcare president Dennis Rivera to the Obama-Biden transition team.
That memo outlined a legislative proposal calling for “increasing the capacity of the health care workforce” as part of a larger health care reform initiative.

Conservative Offers $20,000 to Anyone Who Can Produce Obama’s College Transcripts

In late July, John Hynansky — a longtime friend of Vice President Joe Biden, and a major donor to Biden’s campaigns as well as President Barack Obama’s — was awarded a $20 million taxpayer loan to build a foreign-car dealership in Ukraine.
According to a public summary document, the loan, from the federal government’s Overseas Private Investment Corporation, is for “[u]p to $20.0 million,” and is designed to “expand Winner Import Ukraine’s automobile business, [and] construct and operate ‘Winner Autocity,’ which will have two new, state-of-the-art dealership facilities for Porsche and Land Rover/Jaguar automobiles.”

This story hasn’t gotten much traction in the mainstream media, but Texas Sen. John Cornyn has been on it all week: Russian submarine activity in the Gulf of Mexico.
After receiving no satisfaction to earlier comments to the media, Cornyn wrote a letter today to Admiral Jonathan Greenert, the Pentagon’s Chief of Naval Operations, demanding answers.
“The submarine patrol, taken together with the air incursions, seems to represent a more aggressive and destabilizing Russian military stance that could pose risks to our national security,” Cornyn wrote. “This is especially troubling given the drastic defense cuts sought by President Obama, which include reductions in funding for antisubmarine defense systems.”

A Russian nuclear-powered attack submarine armed with long-range cruise missiles operated undetected in the Gulf of Mexico for several weeks and its travel in strategic U.S. waters was only confirmed after it left the region, the Washington Free Beacon has learned.
It is only the second time since 2009 that a Russian attack submarine has patrolled so close to U.S. shores.
A gay activist opens fire in a conservative organization's offices, inspired by the steady drumbeat of leftist vitriol against those who value traditional marriage, and no one says a word. You won't hear any call for civil discourse from President Obama's bully pulpit over the shooting and wounding of a security guard at the offices of the conservative Family Research Council (FRC) in Washington, D.C.
The alleged shooter was a volunteer at a community center for gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender people, and the FRC favors traditional marriage.
It said that the "FRC has been labeled a hate group by the Southern Poverty Law Center. It's a group that has advocated for the criminalization of homosexuality, called for LGBT people to be exported from the U.S., and has pushed dangerous lies trying to link being gay to pedophilia."
The FRC has done none of those things but that didn't stop the Daily Kos from vilifying the FRC for its support of Chick-fil-A: "Chick-fil-A's corporate 'charity' arm WinShape has donated millions of dollars to groups like Family Research Council. FRC doesn't just oppose marriage equality, they really do HATE gays."
“Our special agents need to be armed and trained appropriately,” the blog post states.  “They not only investigate allegations of Social Security fraud, but they also are called to respond to threats against Social Security offices, employees, and customers.”
President Obama’s “you didn’t built that” comments continue to rattle small business owners, and one decided to not-so-subtly protest the president’s remarks by wearing an “I built this” t-shirt when catering an Obama event. The t-shirt read, “The government didn’t build my business. I did.” There’s no word on whether the president saw the shirt.
Judicial Watch announced today that it filed a lawsuit in the United States District Court for the District of Columbia on August 15, 2012, against the Department of Justice (DOJ) and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) for documents related to the “Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals” directive issued on June 15, 2012 (Judicial Watch v. Department of Justice et al. (No. 1:12-cv-01350)).  The new Obama administration policy would allow certain illegal aliens under the age of 31 to apply for protected status that would prevent their deportation and authorize them to work.
Specifically, Judicial Watch seeks the following records in its June 22, 2012, Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request:
All records concerning…the Department of Homeland Security’s decision to exercise prosecutorial discretion with respect to individuals who came to the United States as children…Such records include, but are not limited to, opinions, memoranda, or legal advice rendered by the Office of Legal Counsel.
Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad told an annual anti-Israel protest in Tehran on Friday that the Jewish state was a "cancerous tumour" that will soon be excised, drawing a strong US rebuke.
US National Security Council spokesman Tommy Vietor told AFP that if Iran was as concerned about human rights as Ahmadinejad said in his speech in support of the Palestinians, then it should stop supporting Syrian President Bashar al-Assad.
Ahmadinejad's diatribe against Israel in his Quds (Jerusalem) Day address was the latest in a long line to have drawn criticism from Western governments.
"The Zionist regime and the Zionists are a cancerous tumour," he said.
"The nations of the region will soon finish off the usurper Zionists in the Palestinian land.... A new Middle East will definitely be formed. With the grace of God and help of the nations, in the new Middle East there will be no trace of the Americans and Zionists," he said.  [How is Obama's Hope and Change working for us - his kind negotiations and hand held out in friendship?...]
Israel's existence is an "insult to all humanity," Iran's president said Friday in one of his sharpest attacks yet against the Jewish state, as Israel openly debates whether to attack Iran over its nuclear program.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Unemployment rates rose in 44 U.S. states in July, the most states to show a monthly increase in more than three years and a reflection of weak hiring nationwide.
The Labor Department said Friday that unemployment rates fell in only two states and were unchanged in four.
But the most shocking comments come in a separate piece of audio posted on the site. In it, the host says blacks are “too scared” to drag whites out of their houses, skin them, hang them in trees, drag them behind trucks, and pour acid on them. He talks about that as he announces the desire for a new “military.” The host, which appears to be King Samir Shabazz of “kill cracker babies fame,” repeats the threat that made him famous: mainly that blacks will have to kill white babies “seconds” after they’re born — and he suggests firebombing nurseries to do it [But it is the Tea Party who is racist....]
The Republican National Committee said Friday it raised $37.7 million in July, making last month the best July in the party committee's history.
At the end of July, the RNC said it had $88.7 million cash on hand. They said July's numbers brought their yearly total to $158 million.

"Once again, the RNC has set a monthly fundraising record, illustrating the tremendous enthusiasm for a new direction in this country," RNC Chairman Reince Priebus wrote in a statement.

Former Navy SEAL Team Six Commander Says Special Ops Assault on Obama Is Just Beginning

“There’s a number of groups out there,” Mr. Zinke told Politicker this morning. “I think what it demonstrates is, there’s a lot of anger, there’s a lot of concern among the former military community.”

Politically speaking, Navy SEALs aren’t the safest targets to rail against in a presidential race, but the Obama campaign isn’t hesitating to take down a group of former SEALs who’ve criticized the president’s national security decisions.
“The Republicans are resorting to ‘Swift Boat’ tactics because when it comes to foreign policy and national security, Mitt Romney has offered nothing but reckless rhetoric,” Obama campaign spokesman Ben LaBolt told Reuters’ Mark Hosenball last night. Taking a direct shot at the leaders of OPSEC, an Obama campaign official lambasted the group’s accusations about national security leaks this morning. “No one in this group is in a position to speak with any authority on these issues and on what impact these leaks might have,” said the official, speaking on background, “and it’s clear they’ve resorted to making things up for purely political reasons.”

Obama Campaign: “We’re Purposely Limiting Attendance”

Obama’s and Biden’s campaign events have been marked recently by less than impressive attendance. Meanwhile, attendance at Mitt’s events have been overwhelming. Here are a couple of pictures of his recent visit to Chillicothe, Ohio. [This is amazing, and exciting!]
