Oct. 10, 20I0: In a radio interview that aired on Univision on Monday, Mr. Obama sought to assure Hispanics that he would push an immigration overhaul after the midterm elections, despite fierce Republican opposition.
“If Latinos sit out the election instead of saying, ‘We’re gonna punish our enemies [well, that would be Americans who would not vote for him, of course - NOT America's enemies in the Middle East] and we’re gonna reward our friends who stand with us on issues that are important to us,’ if they don’t see that kind of upsurge in voting in this election, then I think it’s gonna be harder and that’s why I think it’s so important that people focus on voting on November 2.” [Obama during his interview on the Hispanic Univision has repeated the same direction without the "punish our enemies" language.] Obama, in an interview with talk radio host Michael Baisden, said, "I probably should have used the word 'opponents' instead of enemies."
In the Army we have an expression for an operation that is so big and unwieldy that it has no purpose other than perpetuating itself: “a self-licking ice cream cone.”
By way of Amanda Carpenter in Senator Jim DeMint’s office we discover that after some half century of hard work, federal housing programs have finally reached that state.
According to the GAO, the federal government runs 160 separate housing programs.
Where are they all?
Well, HUD runs the majority of the programs, 91. The United States Department of Agriculture, which also administers farming aid and the nation’s food stamp program, offers 18 different types of housing assistance as well. The Internal Revenue Service has 14 programs. The Department of Treasury offers 8 programs; the Department of Veterans Affairs 7; the Department of Labor 2; Federal Home Loan Banks 3.
Gallup’s Presidential Election tracking poll for September 5-11 had President Obama leading Governor Romney by seven points 50% to 43%.
Now the Gallup tracking poll shows that Obama’s seven point lead has gone up in the smoke from burning U.S. embassies. For the last two days Obama only leads Romney by a single point. That is why the biased media wing of the Democrats’ party is desperately trying its darnedest to convince you the election is over.
Washington has debated and compared the responses of President Barack Obama and Mitt Romney to last week’s attacks in Libya, but Ben Stein has his eye on a different politician.

It’s Secretary of State Hillary Clinton who has to answer for the death of four Americans, including the U.S. ambassador, in Benghazi, he says. And she could start by resigning.
“I think there’s been a very, very serious breach of decorum by Mrs. Clinton in not offering to resign over failure to protect her diplomats adequately,” Stein, a Republican, told POLITICO.

Free Speech That Mocks Islam Is National Security Threat for U.S., Prominent NJ Imam Tells TheBlaze

Current federal regulations plus those coming under Obamacare will cost American taxpayers and businesses $1.8 trillion annually, more than twenty times the $88 billion the administration estimates, according to a new roundup provided to Secrets from the libertarian Competitive Enterprise Institute.

A new anti-Obama ad features Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu speaking about the grave threats of a nuclear-armed Iran.
The commercial is airing in the key swing state of Florida, targeted at Jewish voters.
Secure America Now is behind the $400,000 media buy. The group is lead by John McLaughlin, a former adviser for Netanyahu's Likud Party and former California Gov Arnold Schwarzenegger.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ About 3,000 Muslims marched on the US embassy in Malaysia on Friday, burning an American flag, over a US-made film that has sparked anger in the Islamic world.

Although there was no violence, angry demonstrators declared their willingness to sacrifice their lives to defend the honour of Prophet Mohammed and warned "there will be consequences" over the film.

"We will not allow the prophet to be insulted. We are willing to sacrifice our lives and property," said Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man, an official with the opposition Pan-Malaysian Islamic Party (PAS), which spearheaded the march.

Protesters shouted "Allahu Akbar" (God is greatest) and held up signs denouncing the film, America and Jews.
One placard read: "Obama, our patience has its limit. Don't blame us if your citizens die. Blame yourself. U started it!"

French embassies, consulates and international schools in 20 Muslim countries closed their doors on Friday for fear of a violent backlash over cartoons published earlier this week by Paris-based weekly Charlie Hebdo.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- France confirmed on Friday it would allow no street protests against cartoons denigrating Islam's Prophet Mohammad that were published by a French magazine this week.

Interior Minister Manuel Valls said prefects throughout the country had orders to prohibit any protest over the issue and crack down if the ban was challenged.
"There will be strictly no exceptions. Demonstrations will be banned and broken up," he said.

The U.S. Suffered Its Worst Airpower Loss Since Vietnam Last Week and No One Really Noticed

The Taliban attack on an air base in southern Afghanistan on Friday drew coverage for the way the insurgents cloaked themselves in U.S. army uniforms to gain a tactical advantage, but few have taken note of the historical proportions of the damage inflicted. John Gresham, at the Defense Media Network, has published a detailed account of the attack on Camp Bastion, in which two Marines were killed, six U.S. Marine Corps jet fighters were destroyed, and two more  "significantly" damaged. Those facts were all carried in most reports, but if that just sounds like a typical damage report from a decade-long war, you're wrong. Gresham explains the devastating damage done to VMA-211, the name of the Marine Corps attack squadron that was most affected last week, noting that it is "arguably the worst day in [U.S. Marine Corps] aviation history since the Tet Offensive of 1968." Or you could go back even further. "The last time VMA-211 was combat ineffective was in December 1941, when the squadron was wiped out during the 13-day defense of Wake Island against the Japanese."

Mitt Romney's dirty tax secret is out. He paid MORE than he had to [and donated about $4million to charity, but didn't take the full deduction].

Away from the battlefields of Iraq and Afghanistan, no organized enemy has pulled off an orchestrated attack against the U.S. of this magnitude since 9/11. The assault is part of Obama’s record, one that demands far more presidential candor.
The administration wanted to misrepresent what had happened. The administration wanted to sell the story that a wacky anti-Islam video made in America caused the violence in Cairo and Benghazi and dozens of other cities. That story line absolved the Obama administration of any responsibility for what had happened. It also went a long way toward absolving bad actors in the Muslim world of blame. There have been indications over the last four years that, in its heart of hearts, the Obama administration blames America first for many of the ills of the world. On this occasion, the administration stopped hinting and came clean. It explicitly, even eagerly, blamed America.
President Obama likes to say “the tide of war is receding.” But war isn’t a tide, and in any case it’s not receding. We’re retreating, and our influence is receding—and this makes war, and chaos, and terror, more likely, not less. It is the tide of American power that’s been receding under President Obama.

This Friday, the House of Representatives will vote to undo the Obama administration’s unilateral and unconstitutional gutting of welfare reform’s work requirements.
Under the Congressional Review Act of 1996, the House and the Senate block Obama’s illegal action and ensure that welfare is a hand up for the neediest, not a handout for the entitled.
And because the President needs to sign this override, which is backed by the overwhelming majority of Americans, we need to get every Congressman we can–Republican or Democrat–to vote for work requirements.
The Thomas More Law Center announced today that it is representing U.S. Army Lieutenant Colonel Matthew Dooley, a 1994 Graduate of the U. S. Military Academy at West Point.  In April 2012, LTC Dooley, a highly decorated combat veteran, was publically condemned by General Martin Dempsey, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, and relieved of his teaching assignment because of the negative way Islam was portrayed in an elective course entitled, Perspectives on Islam and Islamic Radicalism.
The actions against LTC Dooley, an instructor involved with this elective, follow a letter to the Department of Defense dated October 19, 2011 and signed by 57 Muslim organizations, demanding that all training materials that they judge to be offensive to Islam be “purged” and instructors “are effectively disciplined.”
Malik Zulu Shabazz, national chairman of the New Black Panther Party, stated today in a radio interview that his controversial group may deploy at voting booths in the November presidential elections, claiming such a move is needed to ensure there is no “intimidation against our people.”
The NBPP was the focus of national attention after Eric Holder’s Department of Justice dismissed voter intimidation charges against the groups leaders related to the 2008 presidential election.
A leaked training manual used in the State and Local Anti-Terrorism Training (SLATT) program for law enforcement and funded by the Department of Justice lists political bumper stickers expressing opposition to the United Nations and support for the bill of rights as indications of terrorist activity.
Slides for the presentation depict the kind of behavior that law enforcement officials should be wary of in spotting potential terrorists during highway patrols.
One of the slides – entitled “Fourth Amendment Issues” – notes that “a suspicious map located on the passenger seat” could warrant further investigation as a potential indicator of terrorism.
Another slide entitled “General Right Wing Extremist” – depicts suspicious bumper stickers that should warrant further investigation by cops conducting traffic stops.
The bumper stickers read, “Know Your RIghts Or Lose Them,” and “If You Love Your Country, the U.N. Is Not Your Friend!,” and “Get US Out Of the United Nations”.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- President Barack Obama on Thursday faced some of the toughest questioning of his reelection campaign to date, pressed repeatedly on his failure to achieve comprehensive immigration reform and other unmet promises from his 2008 run.
The Univision presidential forum at the University of Miami here kicked off with grilling on another topic which brought mounting criticism from Republicans Thursday: The government’s decision to label as a terrorist attack the violence at the consulate in Benghazi which killed American Christopher Stevens.
You told me during an interview that you and Mr. Holder did not authorize the Fast and Furious operation that allowed 2,000 weapons from the United States into Mexico and they were in the drug trafficking [cartels'] hands,” Univision co-host Jorge Ramos asked Obama, according to a translator, during the interview. “I think that up to 100 Mexicans might have died and also American agent Brian Terry. There’s a report that 14 agents were responsible for the operation but shouldn’t the attorney general, Eric Holder, he should have known about that and if he didn’t, should you fire him?”
A group of House Republican chairmen wrote Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and Attorney General Eric Holder today to protest any deal that might free the “blind sheikh” Omar Abdel-Rahman to Egypt for humanitarian and health reasons.
The lawmakers called recent reports that the inspiration behind the 1993 World Trade Center bombing could be released in a goodwill gesture to Cairo. He is currently serving a life sentence behind bars.

Virginia Senate candidate Tim Kaine, a Democrat, said that he's open to having a "minimum tax level for everyone":
"I would be open to a proposal to have some minimum tax level for everyone," said Kaine today at a Senate debate between himself and his opponent, Republican George Allen.
Interestingly, as the Washington Free Beacon notes, just yesterday Kaine released an ad that suggested he's to the right of President Obama on the issue of taxes.
Kaine says in ad, “President Obama wants the Bush tax cuts to expire for people earning over $250,000; George Allen wants to make all the tax cuts permanent. There’s a middle ground. Let the tax cuts expire for those earning over $500,000.”
[Do you want to see how and why a "conspiracy theory" has sprung up about Barack Obama's true identity, and his willingness to present a pack of lies to an apathetic America?  This article and photo will at least let you understand how questions could be asked....]  In a photo on Barack Obama's Facebook page, his mother Ann Dunham stands with her father in what looks like the Honolulu Airport.  Between them are a chubby Barry and his half-sister Maya.  Tucked under Barry's arm is a hand.  It is not Ann's hand.  It appears to be that of a black male.  There is additional evidence that someone was airbrushed out and replaced by Ann.
Who's the missing African-American male? [Frank Marshall Davis, the Communist mentor?]
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ The White House claims two ex-SEALs killed in Libya were inept security guards. The truth? They volunteered for duty and died heroes. But that doesn't serve an Obama political purpose, now does it? Hold on. It now comes to light that they weren't State Department employees and they weren't there to protect the consulate. They bravely did it on their own.
In reality, they were two contractors working on a separate mission — with at least one tracking down missing shoulder-fired missiles, according to ABC News. [We Americans are being lied to by this President, who has yet to address his country on these acts of war.]
The Obama administration’s mugging of the First Amendment continues apace.
The State Department was all over the airwaves in Pakistan yesterday, spending tens of thousands of taxpayer dollars pleading with Muslims not to blame the US government — that is, Barack Obama — for that anti-Islam video.
The 30-second spots feature the president citing America’s long tradition of religious tolerance.
They might also have included Obama talking about this nation’s equally long and cherished tradition of free speech.
But they don’t.
Indeed, they might even have pointed out that Americans enjoy a right to speak their minds — whenever they choose, whatever their opinions — and that most Pakistanis don’t.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------A provocative ad that equates some Muslim radicals with savages is set to go up next week in the New York City subway system, just as violent protests in the Middle East over an anti-Islamic film ridiculing the Prophet Muhammad.
A conservative blogger who once headed a campaign against an Islamic center near the Sept. 11 terror attack site won a court order to post the ad in 10 subway stations on Monday. It reads, "In any war between the civilized man and the savage, support the civilized man. Support Israel. Defeat Jihad."

Our Stripes: Flag Print
[The narcissist-in-chief, the one who is "fundamentally transforming" our country displays this offensive rendition of our American flag, for sale on his website!  Now THAT offends me, Barack Hussein Obama! Our flag is to represent We the People, not you the President. Perhaps he could borrow from the one American school room which hung an American flag with Obama's photo over part of the stripes.]

A 1995 video depicts Barack Obama calling for “democracy with a small ‘d,’” while pushing a society based on collectivism and “common good.”

In the video unearthed by KleinOnline, Obama hails unions and collective bargaining as encapsulating the societal “common good” of which he speaks. [Mass media and the market are all subject to our control, he said.]
Obama urges society to collectively move “forward” – a word that would later serve as his 2012 campaign slogan.
Obama was speaking in an Aug. 11, 1995 interview pushing his just published book, “Dreams From My Father.” At the time, Obama was a community organizer planning to launch a political career. [He also said, and I paraphrase: I would say American history moves in waves and cycles.  Recapture the spirit that existed in the civil rights and union movements - we must make democracy work by using the common good. Barack, we do not have a democracy - we have a representative republic.]

CNBC Poll: 75% Agree With Romney's 47% Comments

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Mitt Romney: ‘The president’s foreign policy, in my opinion, is formed in part by a perception he has that his magnetism, and his charm, and his persuasiveness is so compelling that he can sit down with people like Putin and Chávez and Ahmadinejad, and that they'll find that we're such wonderful people that they'll go on with us, and they'll stop doing bad things. And it's an extraordinarily naive perception.’

The most shocking thing of all, however, is that the mainstream US media don’t think any of these things is shocking. What they think is shocking is that Romney told the truth about them.
They don’t think it’s shocking that Obama’s disastrous foreign policy has empowered the mortal enemies of the west and weakened both America and the free world. They think it’s a shocking gaffe that Romney has said so. How dare he!
They don’t think it’s shocking that the Obama administration has bent over backwards to sanitise and effectively condone genocidal Palestinian rejectionism of Israel. How could they? They themselves to a greater or lesser extent endorse this racist Palestinian programme of ethnically cleansing the Jewish people from their own rightful and historic homeland, and never publish the elementary truth that the actual cause of the Middle East impasse is not the absence of a Palestine state but the Arab and Islamic aim of eliminating Israel. So they find it a shocking gaffe that Romney has actually called this for what it is. How dare he!

Introduction [to a 7 part series on Obama.  What he has told us is mostly fabricated - okay, it is all a pack of lies. There - I said it.  Read the series for yourself.]

The Obama you don't know

But beyond the spin and the polls, a starkly different picture emerges. It is a portrait of a man quite unlike his image, not a visionary reformer but rather a classic Chicago machine pol who thrives on rewarding himself and his friends with the spoils of public office, and who uses his position to punish his enemies.

[In addition to making someone other than Eric Holder take the fall....]

The report on Operation Fast and Furious released today by the Justice Department's Office of Inspector General says a member of the White House National Security staff declined to be interviewed for the inspector general's investigation and that the White House itself did not produce internal documents for the investigation because the White House said it was "beyond the purview" of the inspector general.

In the months leading up to his death, U.S. Ambassador to Libya, Chris Stevens, worried about what he called the never-ending security threats in Benghazi and mentioned his name was on an al Qaeda hit list, a source familiar with his thinking told CNN.
Stevens specifically mentioned a rise in Islamic extremism and al Qaeda's growing presence in Libya, the source said. hhg
Bill Maher made a comedy/documentary called "Religulous" that's most famous for mercilessly mocking Christianity. But what people forget is that the last twenty-minutes or so of the film make a damning case against Islam.
Bill Maher made a film that mocked Islam.
Oh, yes, he did.
Bill Maher also contributed $1 million to a pro-Obama super PAC.
And I'm sure that upon being reminded of this, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton will tremble with self-righteous indignation and demand Maher take his money back.

Following controversy over its purchase of around 1.2 billion bullets in the last six months alone, the Department of Homeland Security has put out a new solicitation for over 200 million more rounds of ammunition, some of which are designated to be used by snipers.

As James Smith over at the Prepper Podcast website highlights, “It is the type of ammunition and not necessarily the quantity that is

The Delphi Debacle

Union members were made whole at the expense of non-union employees in auto bankruptcy
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------A week after small businesses warned that Obamacare taxes will eat up to half of their profits, a new government report reveals that simply complying with the new tax rules in the health care act will cost American families and businesses nearly 80 million hours--essentially a whole new tax.
Based on Internal Revenue Service figures, the House Committee on Ways and Means has compiled an estimate of the total amount of hours it will take to comply with the tax rules. The bottom line: 79,229,503 hours, most of which will fall on small businesses.
NBC Tonight Show host Jay Leno made a joke Monday about President Obama and the economy that would be funny if it didn't hit so close to home.
Talking about how the unemployment rate only fell last month because of the number of people that dropped out of the labor force, Leno quipped that the President is "encouraging more Americans to give up looking for work so the numbers will come down a little bit" (video follows with transcript and commentary):
Mitt Romney's campaign writes: In a newly-unearthed set of remarks, we can hear Barack Obama in his own words advocating for government as a means to redistribute wealth:

"[T]he trick is figuring out how do we structure government systems that pool resources and hence facilitate some redistribution because I actually believe in redistribution, at least at a certain level to make sure everybody's got a shot."

When Washington Post columnist Marc Thiessen and the Government Accountability Institute reported that President Obama has attended less than half of his Presidential Daily Briefs (PDBs) on intelligence, White House Press Secretary Jay Carney called the findings "hilarious."  The next day, U.S. Libyan Ambassador Chris Stevens and three American staff members were murdered.

According to Mr. Carney, Mr. Obama doesn't need in-person briefings because the president gets the written version on his iPad:
But now, in an apparent 180-degree reversal, the White House official calendar shows that for the last four days Mr. Obama has ditched his iPad and has instead opted for the live briefings.

New information reveals President Barack Obama conducted interviews with entertainment magazines and posed for a photo spread last Friday as American embassies burned and 21 countries erupted into anti-American protests.

Earlier this month, “Dreams From My Real Father” director Joel Gilbert appeared at the National Press Club in Washington, DC to talk about his documentary.  [He says that The Journalists' Creed demands a full measure of responsibility to the public, that suppression of the news is indefensibleThe mainstream media will not cover this film....  Even Newsmax wants to "move to the center, and refused to run an ad about this movie.  World Net Daily and USA Survival and few others have been doing their job.]
Congressional Republicans are turning up the heat this week in an effort to head off EPA regulations and stop the Obama administration’s “war on coal,” voting on a package of five bills that would curb EPA regulatory authority and environmental rules.
“Affordable energy is critical for our nation’s economic future,” said Kansas Republican Rep. Mike Pompeo, one of the leading critics of President Obama’s coal policies.
Coal producer Alpha Natural Resources said Tuesday it was cutting production by 16 million tons and eliminating 1,200 jobs companywide, laying off 400 workers immediately by closing mines in Virginia, West Virginia and Pennsylvania.
Alpha said it was closing four mines in West Virginia, three in Virginia and one in Pennsylvania. They are a mix of deep and surface mines, and all are non-union operations.
Representative Jim Sensenbrenner (R., Wis.) has a post on the Hill’s Congress Blog highlighting a bizarre new regulation from the EPA requiring some gas stations to sell at least four gallons of gasoline at a time. It affects those that pump both E10 and E15 (gas with 10 percent or 15 percent ethanol) through the same hose. Since E15 is pretty terrible for small engines and old cars (Sensenbrenner says it’s “like metal in a microwave for a small engine”), the theory is that when customers whose engines cannot handle it are buying gas, the four-gallon minimum would dilute any residual E15 enough to keep it from damaging small engines. That all presents a few problems, since some motorcycles don’t even hold four gallons and some people only want to fill up one- or two-gallon fuel cans for boats, lawn mowers, etc.
It’s a historic moment for the EPA, though, as they’ve never actually forced people to buy anything before. “The EPA’s first-ever mandated purchase requirement appears to have been conceived outside the normal regulatory process,”
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------At an October 19, 1998 conference at Loyola University, Barack Obama spoke against "propaganda" that said government doesn't work and the need to "pool resources and hence facilitate some redistribution because I actually believe in redistribution."
Mitt Romney’s only mistake was lumping together all of the 47 percent who don’t pay income taxes.
A lot of them are elderly, and many of them are voting for Mitt. And there are some people who work, but just don’t make a lot of money, or who would be working if they weren’t legitimately disabled.
But the indisputable fact is, a huge percentage of Obama’s voters are basically wards of the state. There are millions of them, and they have no intention of voting for anyone who might want them to ever go out and work for a living — “no matter what.”
As Romney said in Boca Raton last May: “I’ll never convince them they should take personal responsibility and care for their lives.”

Reporters haven’t asked about Sebelius breaking law in W.H. briefings

The Democratic Party’s national convention in Charlotte, N.C., may have doubled down on insulting the U.S. military community.
The Democratic National Committee has already apologized for using a photo of four Soviet-era Russian warships in a giant stage backdrop intended to illustrate the party’s support for military personnel and veterans.
That huge image, visible in the Time Warner Cable Arena during speeches by Massachusetts Sen. John Kerry and retired Admiral John B. Nathman, also depicted a synchronized formation of jet aircraft that convention-goers assumed were American fighter planes.
But the F-5 fighter planes in the photo are part of the air force of Turkey, a nation whose government is now jailing journalists and establishing Islam as a state religion.
[We have witnessed the beginning of the end of America's right to free speech, when in a dictator-inspired move by Obama actually produced the arrest of a man who made "The" video on Muslims.  President Obama just committed his most recent contradiction to his vow of office to uphold our Constitution, just so the Middle East mess doesn't look like one of his own making.] Look on the bright side A guy who committed the unforgivable sin of exercising his First Amendment rights in a way that offended a certain religious group spent the weekend in custody, being questioned over concerns he may have violated the terms of his probation by uploading the film to the Internet. The man who posted his movie under an assumed name to protect himself from the inevitable Salman Rushdie-type fatwa was outed by Obama’s Justice Department, a move that has forced him and his family into hiding.
No, this is not the guy who submerged a crucifix in a vat of urine, nor is it the person who smeared a picture of the Virgin Mary with elephant dung, nor is it Bill Maher, a guy who made a movie that attacked all religions (including Islam) and donated $1 million to reelect the President. Not them.
As the Administration struggles to pin the foreseeable outcome of our bonkers Middle East policy, the sacking of two diplomatic missions and the slaughter of at least four diplomatic personnel, on a YouTube video, the truth begins to trickle out.
The first substantial fissure appears today.
An intelligence source backs up the claim of a wounded Libyan security guard that there was no demonstration prior to the sacking of the Benghazi consulate.
The account that the attack started suddenly backs up claims by a purported Libyan security guard who told McClatchy Newspapers late last week that the area was quiet before the attack.
“There wasn’t a single ant outside,” the unnamed guard, who was being treated in a hospital, said in the interview.

France announced Wednesday it will close 20 embassies across the Muslim world on Friday after French weekly Charlie Hebdo published cartoons of the Prophet Mohammed naked, amid growing unrest over an anti-Islamic film that has left dozens dead.

The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) has announced it will close its offices in Russia following an order from the authorities there to cease operations.
The Russian government gave the US until 1 October to close the mission, accusing it of meddling in politics.  [But didn't they hear Obama say that he will have more flexibility after his reelection?]
"The decision was taken mainly because the work of the agency's officials far from always responded to the stated goals of development and humanitarian cooperation. We are talking about attempts to influence political processes through its grants," the foreign ministry said in a statement.
Earlier this year, President Vladimir Putin alleged that protests surrounding his re-election were orchestrated by US-funded NGOs.
Among the groups likely to be affected is Golos, whose exposure of electoral fraud at last year's parliamentary elections helped spark huge anti-Kremlin street demonstrations.
Golos is partly funded by USAID.
On September 14, the Taliban attacked Camp Bastion—a giant Anglo-American base in Helmand Province—and managed to destroy six Marine Harrier jets on the ground and to kill a Harrier squadron commander. This was a well-planned, well-executed attack that caused more than a hundred million dollars in damage.
On September 18, a suicide bomber rammed a bus near the Kabul airport, killing 12 people, mostly foreign crew members working on charter flights to support USAID and other agencies in Afghanistan. [And yet Obama says nothing....]

We certainly were busy watching the news right after 9/11, but you never saw this...... THE BOATLIFT OF 9/11.
In the 12 years since 9/11 happened, this is the first time I've ever seen this. I don't remember hearing about this evacuation on the news!
And the fact it was all done in 9 hours... 500,000 people.  It is an interesting video well worth watching.  It was the largest boatlift in history.
The guy at the end (same guy who is at the beginning) has some great words to live by for all of us.

The Treasury Department is resisting General Motors' push for the government to sell off its stake in the auto maker, The Wall Street Journal reports. Following a $50 billion bailout in 2009, the U.S. taxpayers now own almost 27% of the company. But the newspaper said GM executives are now chafing at that, saying it hurts the company's reputation and its ability to attract top talent due to pay restrictions. Earlier this year, GM GM -0.06% presented a plan to repurchase 200 million of the 500 million shares the U.S. holds with the balance being sold via a public offering. But officials at the Treasury Department were not interested as selling now would lead to a multibillion dollar loss for the government, the newspaper noted.
The New York Times is reporting as the California state government is setting up its ObamaCare exchange, the exchange has hired a PR firm (with federal government money).
"Realizing that much of the battle will be in the public relations realm, the exchange has poured significant resources into a detailed marketing plan — developed not by state health bureaucrats but by the global marketing powerhouse Ogilvy Public Relations Worldwide, which has an initial $900,000 contract with the exchange," she wrote. Ogilvy's plan is to tap major network TV shows like "Grey's Anatomy" and "Modern Family" to sell Americans on the health care law:
Citizens United, the group whose lawsuit opened the door to unlimited political spending by individuals, corporations and unions, has reached a deal with a half dozen television networks to air an hour-long film before Election Day about people who have reversed their support of President Obama.
The conservative production studio announced the agreement on Monday, saying “The Hope and The Change,” a play on Obama’s 2008 campaign slogan, will reach 130 million homes.

Three British warships joins 30-nation minesweep exercise, seen by military analysts as warning to Tehran to tow the line

The strategy for getting U.S. forces out of Afghanistan depends on training Afghan soldiers and police to protect the country themselves, but on Monday the U.S. military suspended most joint field operations with Afghan forces because so many Americans are being killed by the men they are training.

Afghan government troops -- our allies -- have turned their guns on NATO forces 36 times this year, killing 51, most of them Americans. That is more attacks than the last two years combined. [They just don't like us infidels much.]
Internal Department of Justice emails obtained by The Daily Caller show Attorney General Eric Holder’s communications staff has collaborated with the left-wing advocacy group Media Matters for America in an attempt to quell news stories about scandals plaguing Holder and America’s top law enforcement agency.

STRONG public support for cutting immigration and a hardening attitude to benefit spongers are revealed in a major new survey today. [In England]
Three-quarters of those questioned wanted immigration reduced.
More than half said it was bad for the economy and 48 per cent thought it undermined Britain’s cultural life. Highly skilled workers and students with good qualifications were widely welcomed as being good for Britain but support plunged in the case of unskilled labourers.

Obama American flag; Kansas hearing of Obama's eligibility cancelled after plaintiff is intimidated; German magazine: Obama a recipe for disaster; U.S. government acting like a battered wife; UN Agenda 21 undermines US freedom and sovereignty; Protests not directed at the US?; We were warned 3 days ahead of assault?; Our money going to support unions in Iraq; Arab governments demand regulation of American media;

-Once again it is the foreign media that does a far better job of holding Barack Obama accountable for his failures.  Please read the following from a German publication that clearly lays out just how destructive and dangerous the Obama presidency has been for America and the world:
A controversial American flag bearing the image of President Barack Obama was quietly removed from a Texas classroom and dismissed by the school district as bad flag etiquette with no political undertones.
Diane Boyett, communications director for the Victoria Independent School District in southeast Texas, estimated the flag was up for about a week at Stroman Middle School before the principal became aware of it and took it down Thursday.
“It was removed as soon as the principal got the first email about it, she went to the classroom, she looked and she removed it,” Boyett told TheBlaze Friday afternoon.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------A state board in Kansas that had planned a hearing Monday to examine evidence of Barack Obama’s eligibility for the Oval Office was left in limbo today when the plaintiff, citing “animosity and intimidation,” abruptly withdrew his complaint.
According to the Topeka Capital-Journal, Joe Montgomery of Manhattan, Kan., had filed a complaint with the Kansas Objections Board asking that Obama’s name be removed.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------In other words, his Middle East policies are in shambles. His assumption that a president "who doesn't look like other presidents" would endear America to Arabs has been proven unfounded.
So have other assumptions. Like the idea that Iran's mullah regime would negotiate with us if we uttered soothing words and turned a cold eye on Iranian dissidents, as Obama did in June 2009.
And the idea that creating distance between the United States and Israel would lead to a settlement between Israelis and Palestinians.
as he said in his June 2009 "New Beginning" speech in Cairo.
There, he implicitly contrasted George W. Bush's emphasis on universal human rights by admitting that "America does not presume to know what is best for everyone."
As Fox News commentator Kirsten Powers wrote, "Our leaders shouldn't let our enemies know that when they kill our people and attack our embassies that the U.S. government will act like a battered wife making excuses for her psychotic husband."

From the Boston Globe: Recycling, tree pruning, and other assaults on liberty

-DO TRASH receptacles and sidewalks have an ideology? How about zoning overlays, watershed development, and tree pruning? These are the kinds of issues that animate local planning boards, those temples of wonkery and reheated coffee that produce acronym-laden reports on parochial community concerns. But to an increasingly vocal group of activists, your local planning board is in fact a cell of hidden conspiracies to undermine US freedom and sovereignty and create a system of one-world government.
At the center of this purported global threat, not surprisingly, is the United Nations, which in 1992 put forward a non-binding agreement known as Agenda 21, committing the 178 signatory countries to goals of sustainable development and conservation of land and energy resources. That known radical, then-president George H. W. Bush, signed up the United States.

Carney: Protests not directed at the United States

'This is not a case of protests directed at the United States writ large or at U.S. policy, this is in response to a video that is offensive to Muslims'
Three days before the deadly assault on the United States consulate in Libya, a local security official says he met with American diplomats in the city and warned them about deteriorating security.
Jamal Mabrouk, a member of the February 17th Brigade, told CNN that he and a battalion commander had a meeting about the economy and security.
He said they told the diplomats that the security situation wasn't good for international business.
"The situation is frightening, it scares us," Mabrouk said they told the U.S. officials. He did not say how they responded.

In fiscal year 2011 (the latest available stats) the Solidarity Center got north of $14 million, which is roughly half of its annual budget in 2009 and 2010. All the grants were rewarded to help increase labor organizations around the world[$3million to Iraq].
Additionally, JW found that the National Labor College, which bills itself as “the nation’s only accredited higher education institution devoted exclusively to educating union members, leaders and staff,” has received nearly $3 million in federal grants since 2009. This includes a $1.1 million emergency preparedness grant from the Department of Transportation earlier this year. Of interesting note is that AFL-CIO President Dick Trumka, who serves as secretary and treasurer of the Solidarity Center, is the chairman of the college’s board of directors.
Big labor’s boost in federal funding is strangely similar to the surge experienced by the open borders movement under Obama. The National Council of La Raza (NCLR) has also seen its federal funding soar since one of its top officials, senior vice president Cecilia Muñoz, got a job in the Obama White House. Last year a JW investigation uncovered documents that show the government cash more than doubled the year Muñoz joined the White House, from $4.1 million to $11 million.

Arab governments are stepping up their demands for regulation of American media to ensure Islam gets more favorable coverage in the United States, while President Barack Obama used his weekend message to again condemn criticism of Islam and to reassure Americans worried war in the Arab region.
Egypt’s Prime Minister Hisham Qandil said Sept. 15 that he expected changes in U.S. law and media practice following the release of a 14-minute anti-Islam YouTube video and a week of ongoing unrest in the Middle East.
The violence has included numerous protests, riots and deadly attacks on U.S. and European facilities since Sept. 11, all of which have damaged Obama’s election-trail claims to foreign policy success.
The United States should “take the necessary measures to ensure insulting billions of people – one and a half billion people – and their beliefs does not happen, and people pay for what they do, and at the same time make sure that the reflections of the true Egyptian and Muslims is well [represented] in Western media,” Qandil added, according to the the English-language site of Egypt’s main newspaper, Al Ahram.
But Qandil’s statement also hinted at more violence if the Islamists’ demands were not met.
