Obama's "unlawful presence waivers"; ATF's outrageous request in Alaska; Are you serious?" - yes, we are serious; Wall art under fire

Tucson - a high-traffic illegal immigration point
Judicial Watch reports: In its quest to implement stealth amnesty, the Obama Administration is working behind the scenes to halt the deportation of certain illegal immigrants by granting them “unlawful presence waivers.”
The new measure would apply to illegal aliens who are relatives of American citizens. Here is how it would work, according to a Department of Homeland Security (DHS) announcement posted in today’s Federal Register, the daily journal of the U.S. government; the agency will grant “unlawful presence waivers” to illegal aliens who can prove they have a relative that’s a U.S. citizen.
Currently such aliens must return to their native country and request a waiver of inadmissibility in an existing overseas immigrant visa process. In other words, they must enter the U.S. legally as thousands of foreigners do on a yearly basis. Besides the obvious security issues, changing this would be like rewarding bad behavior in a child. It doesn’t make sense.  http://www.judicialwatch.org/blog/2012/04/dhs-to-grant-illegal-aliens-unlawful-presence-waivers/

Examiner writes: A report issued on Tuesday by Ammoland Shooting Sports News indicates that the ATF--the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives--is engaged in new illegal activity, this time in the state of Alaska.
According to gun store owners in Anchorage, ATF agents are requiring that they submit what is called '4473 Forms' going as far back as 2007.
Form 4473 is the official form that gun stores require customers to complete when they purchase a firearm. It is not intended to be a gun registration form but a sales record containing information on who bought the firearm, a photo I.D., and the official background check. The store owner then records this data in what is called 'the bound-book,' which is kept in perpetuity by the gun store and submitted to the ATF if the shop goes out of business.
The ATF has the authority to inspect or request a copy of the form if agents are conducting a criminal investigation.
But nowhere does the law or the rules and regulations of the ATF permit the agency to require gun stores to simply turn over these records en mass as a matter of course.
Ammoland is telling gun dealers throughout Alaska that they are within their legal rights to refuse to turn over the records to the ATF.

The Hill writes: The coal industry will suffer the same fate as Osama bin Laden under new climate regulations proposed by the Environmental Protection Agency, the head of the United Mine Workers of America said this week.

“The Navy SEALs shot Osama Bin Laden in Pakistan and Lisa Jackson shot us in Washington,” Cecil Roberts, president of the powerful union, said during an interview Tuesday on the West Virginia radio show MetroNews Talkline.  http://thehill.com/blogs/e2-wire/e2-wire/219919-mine-union-chief-coal-industry-could-suffer-same-fate-as-osama-bin-laden

The NY Post opines: The other day, we speculated that President Obama’s astonishing broadside against the US Supreme Court meant one of three things:
Either he’s ignorant, or he was trying to bully the justices deciding the fate of ObamaCare in his favor — or he thinks Americans are morons.
Well, the answer is now clear:
He thinks we’re all morons.
The president was not clearly understood by some people because he is a law professor [and] he spoke in shorthand,” White House press secretary Jay Carney said Thursday.
Well, pardon us.
But it seems that one of those who didn’t comprehend Professor Obama’s highfalutin’ academic lingo was Harvard’s Laurence Tribe, considered the leading liberal scholar of constitution law. (Sorry, Mr. President.)
And what Tribe said is that Obama — who was one of his students — “obviously misspoke” when he said overturning ObamaCare would be “an unprecedented, extraordinary step” by the court.

The Sun Times reports: The University of Chicago released a statement on Thursday saying Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.) “served as a professor” in the law school—but that is a title Obama, who taught courses there part-time, never held, a spokesman for the school confirmed on Friday.
“He did not hold the title of professor of law,” said Marsha Ferziger Nagorsky, an Assistant Dean for Communications and Lecturer in Law at the school, on East 60th St. in Chicago
The U of C statement was posted on the school’s website two days after the Clinton campaign issued a memo headlined “Just Embellished Words: Senator Obama’s Record of Exaggerations and Misstatements.” The memo was generated by the Clinton campaign as Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton (D-N.Y.) was put on the defensive for claiming incorrectly that she dodged sniper fire while First Lady when her plane landed in Bosnia. http://blogs.suntimes.com/sweet/2008/03/sweet_obama_did_hold_the_title.html

Townhall reports: The New Black Panther Party wants a race war and they want it to start tomorrow. In an audio recording of a planning meeting for a Trayvon Martin rally, New Black Panther Party members have resorted to violent action for what they are calling "revolution." "We've got to suit of and boot up and get prepared for the war we are in." "True revolution means some bloodshed." "We're going to have to cause the red sea." "I'm talking about that blonde haired, blue eyed, sometimes brown eyed, caucasion walking around."
"I am for violence."/04/yippee_free_government_money_come_and_get_it.html
"I'm pissed off right now that the state of Florida isn't on fire."
"We've got to starve capitalism."
"We want the complete removal of capitalism." http://townhall.com/tipsheet/katiepavlich/2012/04/09/great_news_new_black_panthers_calls_to_create_red_sea_of_bloodshed

American Thinker writes: So anxious is the federal government to give away money to lower income people [as prescribed by the Cloward and Piven Strategy] (up to $49k!) that it is buying expensive full page advertising in magazines like Sports Illustrated urging people to take advantage of the "Earned Income Tax Credit" (EITC) program. In the ad reproduced below, the fed show pennies raining down from heaven (get it? pennies from heaven), so that poor people merely need to put out a vessel of some sort to catch the money.

Daily Caller reports: On Easter Sunday the Rev. Al Sharpton, an MSNBC host, broke a major promise he made to those supporting him and the family of slain teenager Trayvon Martin: He didn’t show up in Sanford, Fla., to “occupy” the town.
On March 26 Sharpton vowed to “occupy” Sanford over Easter weekend to show support for Trayvon, the 17-year-old black teen who was shot by Hispanic neighborhood watch volunteer George Zimmerman on Feb. 26.
“We’re going to have a full blown occupation of Sanford with tents and everything over Easter weekend until [authorities] either arrest George Zimmerman, or arrest us for praying for his arrest,” Sharpton told ABC News about two weeks before Easter.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Expose Obama reports: President Barack Obama thinks the millennial generation is in his back pocket.  Hence, the creation of the absurd Gen44 fundraising initiative that targets Americans under the age of forty whose aims are”to cultivate and empower another a rising generation of leaders for the Democratic Party.” This is a part of the full court press the Obama administration has begun to keep their army of dependency zombies well fed.
However, not all are inspired by the cult of this presidency.  Many are seeing that spreading dependency is not a facet of hope or change.  Almost a third of all the CPAC attendees last February were young adults.  Some are inspired by the late Andrew Breitbart and are joining the fight through new media to change the narrative and to make sure the last thing Barack Obama does in office is update his resume come November.  http://www.exposeobama.com/2012/04/09/video-young-conservatives-are-resistance-44/

The Blaze reports: The Obama administration is quietly diverting roughly $500 million to the IRS to help implement the president’s healthcare law.
The money is only part of the IRS’s total implementation spending, and it is being provided outside the normal appropriations process. The tax agency is responsible for several key provisions of the new law, including the unpopular individual mandate. http://www.theblaze.com/stories/obama-admin-diverting-500-million-to-the-irs-for-obamacare/

The Hill reports: House Oversight Committee Chairman Darrell Issa (R-Calif.) released a second video from the General Services Administration's (GSA) controversial and ritzy 2010 Las Vegas conference on Monday in which employees of the federal agency joke that their environmentally friendly initiatives were intended to earn President Obama good press.
The clip is the latest in a string of embarrassing moments for the agency, under fire for the event that cost more than $800,000 and led to the resignation of a number of top GSA officials. http://thehill.com/video/house/220531-rep-issa-releases-new-video-from-costly-gsa-las-vegas-conference

AIM reports: In October 2009, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, astounded by the apparent irrelevance of a reporter’s question about the constitutionality of Obamacare, spoke the words that ricocheted off the Constitution and then around the world:
CNSNews.com: “Madam Speaker, where specifically does the Constitution grant Congress the authority to enact an individual health insurance mandate?”
Pelosi: “Are you serious? Are you serious?”
CNSNews.com: “Yes, yes I am.”
Pelosi then shook her head before taking a question from another reporter. Her press spokesman, Nadeam Elshami, then told CNSNews.com that asking the speaker of the House where the Constitution authorized Congress to mandate that individual Americans buy health insurance as not a “serious question.”
Violent youth who are obese, have asthma, are depressed and are otherwise deemed ill in the opinion of specially selected social workers with backgrounds in criminology, will be sent to special “health and joy camps” to work out their disabilities under the strict supervision of doctors and other medical personnel drafted into the “ready reserve,” detailed, I think, beginning on page 496 of the ACA, Title V, Section 5210.

Hot Air reports: Liz Bierendy, a 17-year-old artist who attends Pilgrim High School in Warwick, R.I., has had to defend her artistic vision for a mural to cover a wall of the high school. The work, designed to show the progression of a boy from childhood to adulthood, ends with a depiction of a man standing hand-in-hand with a woman and child. The man and woman wear wedding bands.
Critics said the mural might not represent the life experiences of many of the students at Pilgrim High School — so Bierendy should have to change it. Fortunately, the Warwick School Superintended inserted himself into the controversy and insisted that Bierendy should be allowed to finish the mural as she designed it.
My first thought when I read this story was of the elephant-dung-dusted image of the Virgin Mary that once was brought to New York’s Brooklyn Museum of Art. When Christians complained, the common refrain was, “What’s the matter? It’s just art.” That’s what I want to ask Bierendy’s critics now: “What’s the matter? It’s just art.” http://hotair.com/archives/2012/04/09/student-stands-by-controversial-mural-that-shows-life-of-a-man-ending-in-marriage-and-fatherhood/
