Democrats Desperately Selling Obamacare - My Examiner.com Article

The map appears on this page of the Democratic Leadership Committee [sic] website (dated 2004 during the Bush years). I guess we could argue over whether the DLC counts as “senior party officials” but they’re certainly as much a part of the party as Palin who, after all, currently holds no elected office.
[To the heroic woman who helped hold down the shooter in Tucson, I have this website for her to consider, for when asked what she has learned, she replied that she learned the people on the RIGHT caused this tragedy by name-calling and provocative words.  I would say that what we must learn is that our free speech is not what causes lunatics to go on shooting rampages, that it was her President who mentioned bringing a gun to the fight.  It is people who have no regard for human life who are to blame.  For all we know, this Congresswoman was targeted not because she was a despised lefty, but because she voted against Obamacare and Nancy Pelosi, therefore being too far to the right. Right now it doesn't matter.  We should learn to keep our incriminations to ourselves until such time that we know what actually happened.  Of course, we will all be hearing her on the mainstream media, won't we?]

ABC News reported Saturday night that Loughner had identified among his favorite books "The Communist Manifesto" by Karl Marx, Adolf Hitler's "Mein Kampf" and the fiction classic "One Flew over the Cuckoo's Nest" -- hardly the reading list of a Palin supporter.  Oops

Democrats are railing against the possible repeal of Obamacare, once again pitting one American against the other.  They have said that Republicans want to kill people, they want to keep people from gaining insurance when they have an existing condition, and they wish to kick children off their parents' insurance policies prior to the ripe old age of 26, among other things. They've said Obamacare will reduce the cost of health care, but fail to mention that we all are now paying extra taxes for two years before we even receive any benefits.  Democrats aim to convince Americans that insuring 30 million more people with the same number of doctors will cost less without causing us to wait longer for appointments and surgeries - leading to de-facto "Death Panels".  Recent screams of disgust have forced this Administration to take back its stealth addition of yearly end-of-life counseling for all seniors. Regulations have forced 45 doctor-owned hospitals nationwide to end construction, for they would not be able to bill Medicare for their treatments. They are claiming that we do not have to buy insurance, but fail to mention that those who don't will be penalized - which causes us to pay for 14,000 more IRS agents to enforce this directive. Over 250 companies have been given waivers from this onerous bill, so why shouldn't all companies gain this advantage?  Must you be a "friend of Obama" - or a Union?
Yes, Republicans do wish to repeal Obamacare, and then replace it with market-driven, non-government controlled changes, which Republicans were advocating to no avail throughout the writing and passing of the Health Care Bill.  The important concerns of liberals and all Americans can be addressed without giving our government control over another 1/6 of our economy.  Remember that it was bribes using our tax dollars which purchased the votes for the passage of this law.  This is the progressives' foot in the door, and as they have openly stated, puts them in the position to gradually add more and more to regulations to control all of us - except for themselves, that is.  Their final aim is universal healthcare, where every American is insured by the government. Putting insurance companies out of business with onerous regulations will do just that. The new Republican led House of Representatives must do everything in their power to stop them.  Info from: http://spectator.org/archives/2011/01/05/obamacares-dirty-tricks  and  http://www.americanthinker.com/blog/2011/01/obamacare_stops_construction_a.html

Newsbusters writes: Newsweek's Jonathan Alter, who last year wrote a lengthy book on the first year of Barack Obama's presidency, looked very displeased on Dylan Ratigan's MSNBC program earlier this week when other guests concurred with accusations of corruption against the White House.
The Ratigan segment centered on a statement by Rep. Darrel Issa, R-Calif., incoming chairman of the House Oversight and Goernment Reform Committee, that Obama's is "one of the most corrupt administrations ever."
"There is zero evidence" of corruption, he insisted. When fellow guest Tim Carney, a Washington Examiner columnist, disagreed, Alter demanded Carney produce evidence. So he did.  Among the list:
• Obama officials meeting off campus for official business for the sake of avoiding the Presidential Records Act.
• And this nugget from the same NYTimes piece: "Two lobbyists also cited instances in which the White House had suggested that a job candidate be “deregistered” as a lobbyist in Senate records to avoid violating the administration’s hiring restrictions."
• The firing of AmeriCorps Inspector General Gerald Walpin. As my colleague Byron York has explained: "The method of Walpin's firing could be a violation of the 2008 Inspectors General Reform Act, which requires the president to give Congress 30 days' notice, plus an explanation of cause, before firing an inspector general."
• Giving a car company (Chrysler) to a political entity that spent millions to get you elected. This deal involved alleged threats by a since-indicted car czar to knee-cap investors who didn't want to agree to the White House's deal.
