Assault on Constitution; Pelosi claims Republicans are the E. Coli group; Romney causes cancer story is based on another big lie; 1.76 million illegals qualify for legal status; 42 Presidents all related to King John; Democrat tracking device; Pensions of non-union retirees terminated by Treasury Dept.; Obama prefers welfare checks; France mulls taxing the rich at 75%; Obama is not to blame this time either; Food Stamp President advertizes for illegals to come to America and receive food stamps

*What in the world are these Republicans in the House of Representatives thinking? As if they haven’t given enough power over to the President already. Folks we are seeing the office of the President turned into the office of the American Dictator. Last year, the Senate passed the measure by a vote of 79-20, so it now goes to the desk of President Obama for his signature. (Did anyone hear about this? I don’t remember it)  By a vote of 261-116, the House of Representatives passed a bill rewriting Article II of the Constitution and divesting the Senate of the power to accept or reject the appointment of many presidential nominees.  Dozens of key management positions in the Departments of Agriculture, Defense, Commerce, and Homeland Security (including the treasurer of the United States, the deputy administrator of the Federal Aviation Administration, the director of the Office for Domestic Preparedness, and the assistant administrator of FEMA) will now be filled by presidential edict, without the need of the “advice and consent” of the Senate, a phrase specifically removed from the process in the text of the bill.http://stevescomments.wordpress.com/2012/08/03/house-passes-bill-eliminating-senate-approval-of-presidential-appointments/

Former Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi visited Boca Raton to help former West Palm Beach Mayor Lois Frankel in her campaign for Florida’s 22nd district. During the question and answer period, Pelosi claimed that Republicans didn’t care if children caught diseases, specifically E. coli, from contaminated water:
“Bless their hearts, it’s the philosophy Republicans in Congress have. And bless their hearts, they act upon their beliefs. It’s an ideology. We shouldn’t have a government role. So reduce the police, the firemen, the teachers, reduce their role and give tax cuts to the high end. That will stimulate the economy and everything will be good,” Pelosi said.
That’s right.  As a Republican, I want my children to drink contaminated water.  As a Republican, I want my children to breathe dirty air.  As a Republican, I want my children to ingest food that is foul.
Do people really believe this?  [I think that many actually do....]   http://www.libertynews.com/2012/08/06/nancy-pelosi-says-republicans-dont-care-if-kids-to-get-e-coli-video/
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Romney’s layoffs literally killed people. If you’re a low-information voter who pays attention to this stuff in bits and pieces, a story you’re half-listening to about a rich guy and a steelworker and a plant closing and a young wife tragically dying from cancer sounds really bad, even if it’s a gross smear. In fact, the grosser the smear, the more compelling the half-listened-to story seems. Right, Harry?  [The truth of it is that the woman died 6 years after she lost her job, and was covered by her own health insurance part of that time.  The audacity of lies is breath-taking.]   http://hotair.com/archives/2012/08/07/cnn-wife-of-steelworker-in-new-obama-super-pac-ad-still-had-job-and-health-insurance-after-he-lost-his/

As many as 1.76 million young illegal immigrants could qualify for temporary legal status under President Obama's deferred action program, says a new report from the Migration Policy Institute. That's more than double the Obama administration's initial estimate of 800,000 people who would benefit from the program. http://news.yahoo.com/blogs/lookout/deferred-action-program-could-legalize-1-8-million-221839009.html

What do Barack Obama, Thomas Jefferson, George W. Bush and the other past U.S. presidents have in common? Besides holding the coveted title of commander-in-chief, it appears that all of them but one are cousins.
The remarkable discovery was made by 12-year-old BridgeAnne d’Avignon, of Salinas, California, who created a ground-breaking family tree that connected 42 of 43 U.S. presidents to one common, and rather unexpected, ancestor: King John of England.

Need to Find a Democrat? [Or determine which neighbors are NOT your friendly Democrats?] New Obama Campaign App Reveals Your Liberal Neighbors   [This information has been used for a while now, but was only available to elected Precinct Delegates and the like - as a tool to get out the vote.  Of course, it now is available to all Democrats and will probably be misused.]  http://www.ijreview.com/2012/08/12345-need-to-find-a-democrat-new-obama-campaign-app-reveals-your-liberal-neighbors/

Emails obtained by The Daily Caller show that the U.S. Treasury Department, led by Timothy Geithner, was the driving force behind terminating the pensions of 20,000 salaried retirees at the Delphi auto parts manufacturing company.
The move, made in 2009 while the Obama administration implemented its auto bailout plan, appears to have been made solely because those retirees were not members of labor unions.
The internal government emails contradict sworn testimony, in federal court and before Congress, given by several Obama administration figures. They also indicate that the administration misled lawmakers and the courts about the sequence of events surrounding the termination of those non-union pensions, and that administration figures violated federal law.
Delphi, a General Motors company, is one of the world’s largest automotive parts manufacturers. Twenty thousand of its workers lost nearly their entire pensions when the government bailed out GM. At the same time, Delphi employees who were members of the United Auto Workers union saw their pensions topped off and made whole.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Republican Mitt Romney is making a new push to cast President Barack Obama as a big government liberal, accusing him of dismantling welfare reform, while Democrats renew efforts to paint Romney as a profit-driven businessman.
The Romney campaign released a new television ad Tuesday bashing Obama for removing work requirements from federal welfare regulations, a key element of President Bill Clinton's 1996 welfare overhaul. The ad contends that Obama simply wants to hand out welfare checks, while Romney would restore the work requirement.
The White House says Obama's decision last month to change welfare requirements gives states the flexibility they have been asking for to make the program more efficient. Romney was among several Republican governors who signed a letter in 2005 asking for more "waiver authority." Romney is a former Massachusetts governor. http://news.yahoo.com/romney-accuses-obama-dismantling-welfare-reform-140642520.html

A chill is wafting over France’s business class as Mr. Hollande, the country’s first Socialist president since François Mitterrand in the 1980s, presses a manifesto of patriotism to “pay extra tax to get the country back on its feet again.” The 75 percent tax proposal, which Parliament plans to take up in September, is ostensibly aimed at bolstering French finances as Europe’s long-running debt crisis intensifies.
But because there are relatively few people in France whose income would incur such a tax — perhaps no more than 30,000 in a country of 65 million — the gains might contribute but a small fraction of the 33 billion euros in new revenue the government wants to raise next year to help balance the budget. http://www.nytimes.com/2012/08/08/business/global/frances-les-riches-vow-to-leave-if-75-tax-rate-is-passed.html?_r=2&hpw

In an interview with Black Enterprise magazine, President Barack Obama blames state and local governments, as well as Congress, for over 14 percent black unemployment.  -  http://www.weeklystandard.com/blogs/obama-blames-state-and-local-governments-congress-141-percent-black-unemployment_649505.html

The Obama administration advertises the fact that anyone is welcome to come to the United States to receive food stamps:

A basic premise of immigration law is that immigrants to the U.S. are expected to be self-supporting. We obviously don’t want to attract people who have no intention of working, but simply want to benefit from our generous welfare system. This principle is incorporated into the Immigration and Nationality Act, which provides:
But, as in so many other instances, President Obama has simply changed the law by executive fiat. In this case the administration acted quietly, so that it took quite a while before others understood how badly Obama had subverted the immigration laws. Yesterday, four Republican Senators wrote to Janet Napolitano and Hillary Clinton; you can read their letter here:
It has long been a sound principle of immigration law that those who seek citizenship in this country ought to be financially self-sufficient. We were thus shocked to discover that both the State Department and DHS exclude reliance on almost all governmental welfare programs when evaluating whether an alien is likely to become a public charge. Your agencies apply a cramped interpretation of the law in this regard, considering reliance on only two of nearly 80 federal welfare programs as evidence of likelihood of becoming a public charge: Supplemental Security Income (SSI) and Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF).
In fact, guidance from your agencies specifically prevents consular and DHS officials from considering the likelihood that an alien will receive SNAP benefits [food stamps], WIC payments, Medicaid, child-care benefits, foster care, energy assistance, educational assistance, other medical and health benefits, and assistance from at least fifteen different nutritional programs.
The Obama administration advertises the fact that anyone is welcome to come to the United States to receive food stamps:

Barack Obama’s mania to make everyone a dependent of the federal government extends even to illegal aliens. The Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration has uncovered the astonishing fact that the Obama administration pays billions of dollars in child tax credits to illegal aliens:
