; School indoctrination in good environmental citizenship; Homosexual indoctrination in schools; Only 3% of us are gays or lesbians; Public school applicants asked if they were born by caesarean section; Goshen college won't play National Anthem at sporting events

Expose Obama wrote: “Preparing our children to be good environmental citizens is some of the most important work any of us can do,” U.S. Secretary of Education Arne Duncan said when he announced the new program last month. “It’s work that will serve future generations and quite literally sustain our world.”
Next year on Earth Day, the Obama administration plans to announce which U.S. schools have been selected as “Green Ribbon Schools,” a designation that will “honor” schools for “creating healthy and sustainable learning environments” and for “teaching environmental literacy.”
“The criteria have not been developed yet,” Webb said. “The plan is for the U.S. Department of Education, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), and the Council for Environmental Quality to develop the criteria this spring and summer and to issue the call for applications early this fall.
Webb said the program would recognize schools for “engaging students on environmental issues and producing environmentally literate students; increasing energy efficiency and using renewable energy technologies; and creating healthy learning environments by addressing environmental issues in the schools.”
[And we wonder why children graduate with low literacy, and schools cry for more and more money. We taxpayers will be paying for the work of these government entities which have no business determining a school's agenda.  We wonder why today's students look at America as cruel and no better than any other country.  Perhaps if we focus on reading, writing and arithmetic instead of feel-good, government chosen indoctrination, America CAN once again be the land of hope - the bright shining city on the hill.]

World Net Daily reveals: Pro-family organizations across the nation are expressing shock and alarm over a new wave of homosexual indoctrination developing in public schools – especially in California – where parents are not even given the option of withdrawing their kids from the mandatory lessons on being "gay" or more.
"Young children are being taught that they can choose to be a boy or a girl – or both," said officials at Mass Resistance, one of the leading organizations across the country defending the fact that students are boys or girls.
"Boys, for example, should be comfortable wearing girls' clothes and nail polish, etc. And there aren't just two genders, there can be a range. And, of course, the school does not allow parents to opt their kids out," the organization said.
How did America come to this? Read about it in "The Marketing of Evil: How Radicals, Elitists, and Pseudo-Experts Sell Us Corruption Disguised as Freedom"
It was citing the work of an elementary school in Oakland, where officials allowed an outside advocacy organization, Gender Spectrum, to tell young students that sexuality is what they want it to be, not necessarily what nature endowed them to be.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
When asked to guess what percentage of the population are gays or lesbians, by the way (according to polling), Americans estimate that 25% are.  [Sometimes because of their extreme power, it would be easy to believe that 40% are.  The actual number, according to The Week is a mere 3.5 % who declare themselves to be lesbian, gay or bisexual.  So how do they get the approval to put this agenda in early education, I ask?]

UK Daily Mail writes: School chiefs in California have come under fire for asking intimate questions about how its children were delivered during birth.
Parents hoping to enrol their children in the Dry Creek School District have to complete an application form that asks if their child was delivered naturally or by caesarean section.
Those mothers who tick the 'C-section' option are then asked to explain why the procedure was performed.

Extinctions overstated; US has largest energy source of any nation on Earth; Tornados not linked to US temps; Natural Gas Act; Obama's choice of Dept. of Commerce supports cap and trade; NYT Gives up reporting news

The LA Times reports: Hit the snooze on that ecological doomsday clock for a minute: The world's species may not be going extinct quite as fast as we thought they were. Scientists may be overestimating the crisis by as much as 160%, according to a recent study.

The research was published online Wednesday in the journal Nature.  The massive loss of species occurring today may constitute the sixth mass extinction of life on Earth. http://www.latimes.com/news/science/la-sci-extinction-20110521,0,6091441.story
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Human Events opines: Ever since the United States government got involved in energy policy, we have had a problem.  Democrats and liberal Republicans, acting at the behest of groups hiding behind environmental cover to push policies giving government more power, are directly responsible for our current situation.  This is deliberate on the part of some, while others are simply dupes who have been used.  Regardless of the motivations, if not stopped, continued pursuit of these policies will lead to the destruction of the United States as we know it.
It is no coincidence that U.S. oil production peaked in 1970, the year after President Richard Nixon signed the National Environmental Policy Act and the Environmental Protection Agency was established, just the beginning of a decade of laws that have made the United States the hardest place in the world to produce energy.
For 40 years, Congress has passed laws pretending to protect the environment or animals or lands in exchange for the support of left-wing green groups that have gladly championed more power for the government because they understood—even if some of the nitwit politicians didn’t—that if the government got involved in energy, there would be less energy, it would be more expensive and more un-American, and the growth and power of the United States would be diminished.
The Congressional Research Service said that the U.S. has the largest energy resources of any nation on Earth.
As a result [of our policies, however], we now transfer $400 billion or so every year to foreign governments to create jobs in foreign lands so they can supply us with energy that we could supply ourselves.  And the Alaskan pipeline?  Starved for oil by federal policies, it now runs at less than one-third capacity, which means we import more than $50 billion a year of un-American oil to replace the American oil which used to fuel the West Coast.  http://www.humanevents.com/article.php?id=43659
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
American Spectator writes: From confused "peak oil" theorists to confused Congressmen, it's all but impossible to hear a discussion of US energy policy without hearing the left's tired refrain: "The United States currently uses 25% of the world oil production but has only 2% of world reserves." The left uses this misinformation to argue against domestic oil drilling, claiming that with only two percent of the world's reserves, we can't possibly have enough oil in the ground to matter.
Even with the outdated offshore figures, the U.S.'s total technically recoverable oil, including current proved reserves and 10 billion barrels of natural gas liquids, is estimated by our government at 163 billion barrels, eight times the number thrown around by the left.

RedState writes: Harold Brooks, a researcher for the NOAA National Severe Storms Laboratory, is far less undecided. “we see no correlation between global or US national temperature and tornado occurrence,” Brooks said.
He is then asked why so many casualties have occurred from the 2010 tornado season in the US. He attributes this to population density, flimsier housing and plain rotten luck. Brooks explains below.
“Tornado deaths require two things. You have to have the tornado and you have to have people in the right or the wrong place,” Brooks said. “The biggest single demographic change that probably affects things is that the fraction of mobile homes in the United States has increased over the years,” he said. http://www.redstate.com/repair_man_jack/2011/05/24/tornadoes-and-agw/

RedState opines:  HR 1380, otherwise known as the “NAT GAS Act”, is bipartisan legislation (sponsored by 105 Democrats, 83 Republicans) supported by billionaire T. Boone Pickens that would provide billions of dollars in tax incentives for the production and use of natural gas vehicles. Several fiscal conservatives in the House have been duped into thinking this is a good bill but I hope that they immediately withdraw their names as co-sponsors.  In other words, this bill basically lends credibility to the EPA’s ability to regulate greenhouse gas emissions, something opposed to by many Republicans in Congress. Therefore, the Club for Growth cannot help but conclude that anyone who remains a sponsor of this bill is a supporter of Obama’s desire to regulate climate change through the EPA.  http://www.redstate.com/chris_chocola_cfg/2011/05/26/why-conservatives-should-oppose-the-nat-gas-act/

CNS News reports: John Bryson, nominated by President Barack Obama today to head the Department of Commerce, once said it was “incredibly important” that the United States pass cap and trade legislation and that America needed to become a global leader in combating man-made global warming. “I regard it as incredibly important that the United States comes forth in this year with federal climate change legislation as a foundation for moving ahead,” Bryson told the UN International Energy Conference in late August 2009. “I think we in the U.S. have an obligation to assist in significant ways in providing leadership in this community of nations that you represent and addressing energy and climate change.”

Utility giant American Electric Power said Thursday that it will shut down five coal-fired power plants and spend billions of dollars to comply with a series of pending Environmental Protection Agency regulations.

The company’s dramatic plan to comply with the regulations could give Republicans and moderate Democrats ammunition in their ongoing fight against EPA's efforts to impose new regulations aimed at limiting greenhouse gas emissions and air pollutants including mercury and arsenic.
Rep. Shelley Moore Capito (R-W.Va.) and Sen. Joe Manchin (D-W.Va.) immediately pounced on AEP's announcement.  “This is a perfect example of the EPA implementing rules and regulations without considering the devastating impact they may have on local economies and jobs,” Capito said.  http://thehill.com/blogs/e2-wire/677-e2-wire/165651-aep-epa-regs-will-cost-billions-and-result-in-five-closed-plants

Proof of citizenship could reduce voter fraud; Obama hopes to bail out Greece; 25% share same ideological views of Obama; 48% expect another great depression; Obama's covert war in Yemen

My latest Guest Commentary in the Boyne City Gazette:

Both federal and state laws clearly state that in order to vote in national elections in the United States, one must actually be a citizen.  The problem is that most states have no requirement for those who are registering to vote to prove their citizenship.
Since the year 2000 elections for both President, national and state offices, we have witnessed non-citizens voting in large enough numbers to affect outcomes.  We should be praising those states such as Michigan and Kansas for attempting to ensure that American elections are not stolen by foreign nationals.  Kansas is now requiring voters to show their I.D., absentee voters to present a full driver’s license and guaranteed signature, and new registered voters must show proof of citizenship.  This differs from 13 states which have Motor Voter laws allowing anyone with a driver’s license to register to vote – citizen or not.  The National Center for Policy Analysis has declared that the law has encouraged ballot fraud, particularly in those states which do not require an I.D. at the voting booth, for it makes it very easy for someone to vote using another person’s name.  Michigan residents get a registration simply by saying they are a citizen – no proof required.  Some 25,000 or more non-citizens have been identified as being on the voter registration rolls in Chicago, for instance, while Michigan had an impossible 102.54% of eligible voters registered to vote in 2008, a number which included thousands of deceased voters as well as those who had moved to other states.  Each of those registered to vote, or someone using their registration, can then vote absentee without ever showing an ID or signature.
If Americans must show their ID in order to board a plane, to cash a check, sometimes to purchase alcohol, or to purchase a firearm, it seems reasonable that one must prove their ID in order to vote – a quintessential privilege of being an American citizen.
Donna Brazile, former Democrat National Committee Chairman, made the charge that attempts to prove American citizenship in order to vote are attempts to block the vote of the underprivileged, and therefore are racist.  After hearing former Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi calling those in America illegally “true, true patriots”,  we need to be reminded that not only are millions of Mexicans crossing our border illegally each year,  but over 500,000 illegals are smuggled into America from South and Central America right through our Mexican borders .  During the 2008 election campaign, I well remember a female Democrat politician actually telling the newly named "undocumented aliens" who were listening to her speech to be sure to go out and vote – of course they can!
As stated by Kansas Secretary of State Kris Kobach:  “Voter fraud is a well-documented reality in American elections.”  Colorado recently identified 11,805 illegal aliens registered to vote, 40% of whom actually voted.  Ruth Johnson, Michigan’s Secretary of State, discovered in the 2008 election cycle irregularities in voter registration efforts by members of the group ACORN, as well as finding fraud in the candidate filings of the fake Tea Party.  This fraudulent party was taken off the ballot, ending the attempt to split the conservative vote in Michigan.  As we can plainly see, the integrity of our ballot boxes is at risk, and we should all have an interest in seeing it end.
ACORN officials have admitted to or have been proven to have submitted fraudulent voter registration forms in Ohio, Colorado, Florida, Indiana, Michigan, Missouri, Minnesota, and New Mexico, if not more. Though many illegal ballots were cast, the best defense ACORN can pose is that it was not voter fraud, it was simply registration fraud.  ACORN routinely and illegally pays people for each name they garner during registration drives, ballots have been found in car trunks, high school students were taken by bus to polling places with only Democrat ballots in hand, and 90 absentee ballots came from one email address.   Worst of all, we never seem to get ballots to our military in time for them to vote.
Polling has shown that 82% of Americans support photo ID laws.  We must be proactive in ending fraud in our elections, no matter what the source!

New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie and Senate legislative leaders have reached a deal to cut pensions and benefits for current public employees, according to a person familiar with the matter.
The deal would require workers to pay more of their salaries into the pension system, give up annual cost-of-living increases and pay a percentage of their health care premiums in a tiered system based on their salary, this person said. New employees would have to work longer to get full benefits. Current retirees would not be affected by the deal, nor will people who have at least 25 years in the system. http://blogs.wsj.com/metropolis/2011/06/08/n-j-nears-deal-to-slash-pensions-benefits/

Economic Development Revitalization Act of 2011; Chris Titus Threatens Sara; Michigan Votes on Tenure for Teachers; Obama, off teleprompter, back to pointing finger; DNC Chairwoman compares Republicans to Jim Crow laws; Federal LGBT Summit by Dept. of Education; Obamacare hearing; Texas to weigh immigration legislation

RedState writes: The Senate is going to take up a bill tomorrow that fiscal conservatives need to be aware of.
It’s S. 782, the “Economic Development Revitalization Act of 2011″
This bill reauthorizes the US Department of Commerce’s Economic Development Administration (EDA), which costs $500 million a year, and has proven to be nothing more than a dumping ground for pork projects. Here’s just some of the wasteful projects that the EDA has spent our tax dollars on: [for instance]
  • $120,000 to the Staten Island Economic Development Corporation, Inc., Staten Island, Richmond County, New York, to fund a feasibility study to determine best practices for establishing a “”green zone”" on an underutilized portion of industrial land on Staten Island’s western shore.
  • $600,000 to Operation HOPE, Inc. of Los Angeles, California, to fund the HOPE Financial Literacy Empowerment Center in Atlanta.

In responding to a question about former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin’s appearance on “Fox News Sunday,” in which Palin defended her interpretation of what happened during Paul Revere’s pre-Revolutionary War famous ride, Titus launched into a description of what he would do if Palin were elected.
“You know what man?” Titus said. “I am going to literally — if she gets elected president, I am going to hang out on the grassy knoll all the time, just loaded and ready — because you know what? It’s for my country. It’s for my country. If I got to sacrifice myself, it’s for my country.”  [Do you suppose Obama's FBI is investigating this man?]

From From: MEA Voice Online (the Michigan Education Association): The state House is expected to vote as early as Wednesday on a package of bills that would eliminate teacher tenure and ban all school employees from bargaining about a broad range of subjects related to their working environments and their students' learning conditions.

Among many other provisions, this legislation would increase the probationary period to five years, allow tenured teachers to be moved back to probation after evaluation, remove reasonable and just cause protections, eliminate seniority-based placements. The bills also extend far beyond tenure, banning collective bargaining of evaluation systems, discharge/discipline policies, and more.  http://us.mc1610.mail.yahoo.com/mc/showMessage?.rand=655300401&fid=Inbox&mid=1_124119_AMPci2IAAA2OTe6dXg7o3xh/ocg#_pg=showMessage&sMid=2&&filterBy=&.rand=1626729215&midIndex=2&mid=1_130346_AG%2Fci2IAAXDgTe7aSAhEl14YArw&fromId=cm2915@yahoo.com&m=1_132455_APTci2IAAIqDTe7vPQTjszVQEjY,1_131417_AJjci2IAACwLTe7nTww58Xw6pO8,1_130346_AG%2Fci2IAAXDgTe7aSAhEl14YArw,1_129421_AJ3ci2IAAIcqTe7YXw08uVQfDHw,1_124119_AMPci2IAAA2OTe6dXg7o3xh%2Focg,1_50403_AMfci2IAABmgTey9KQHSpGvlhqM,1_44607_AD7ci2IAACdbTex%2BiwyGXnGyCYk,1_1171_AMfci2IAAUyQTewLQQntFGeLzAY,&sort=date&order=down&startMid=0&hash=7e59f060ff8c36d37bbd4b34974cb0b8&.jsrand=5312570

The blame-game rhetoric – which pollsters say is counterproductive – came during the White House’s joint press conference with Germany’s chancellor, Angela Merkel. “It is just very important for folks to remember how close we came to complete disaster,” he told the watching TV cameras and reporters.
“The world economy took a severe blow two and a half years ago, and in part that is because of a whole set of policy decisions that had been made, and challenges that have been unaddressed over the course of the previous decade,” he said, standing alongside Merkel, whose economy has rebounded during the last two years. http://dailycaller.com/2011/06/07/its-not-the-economy-its-you-says-obama/

Washington Examiner writes: Obamacare is likely facing its last stop before it heads to the Supreme Court in 2012. The U.S. Court of Appeals for the 11th Circuit in Atlanta will hear arguments Wednesday in the biggest Obamacare case in the country.
This is the Obama administration's appeal in Florida v. U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. It's the case in which President Obama suffered his most embarrassing defeat at the district court level when Judge Roger Vinson struck down not only the linchpin of Obamacare -- its individual mandate -- but the entire 2,700-page law with it.
There are several major Obamacare cases across the country, but Florida v. HHS is the biggest. Funding for ACORN affiliates blocked; Palin vs. Weiner, in Barbara Walter's opinion; Real cost of government guarantee of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac 2 1/2 times more; Obama vs. House on Libya

American Spectator reports: Last week the U.S. House of Representatives voted to block funding to any remaining ACORN affiliates and to "new" ACORN groups that have sprung up over the last year.
The ACORN network of 370-plus organizations is not actually dead, as I've written. It is merely restructuring itself. The lead corporate entity, ACORN, filed Chapter 7 bankruptcy, but the state chapters and other branches of the infamous activist network continue to operate. Other affiliates including vote manufacturers Project Vote and housing bubble generator ACORN Housing continue in business. ACORN Housing changed its name to Affordable Housing Centers of America.
"ACORN is a corrupt criminal enterprise that threatens our democratic system of government by systematically committing voter registration fraud," said King, a longtime ACORN critic. "American taxpayers should not be asked to fund an organization that is dedicated to corrupting the sanctity of every American's vote."
King's amendment turning off the funding spigot was approved 251 to 168.  http://spectator.org/blog/2011/06/06/house-votes-to-defund-acorn-su#

Daily Caller reports: “[A]nthony Weiner, whom I also know, has a problem,” Barbara Walters said [on The View]. “He can be very sarcastic and very sardonic. And you know there are a lot of times you wish he would not say it. He is a good congressman. He has been an effective congressman. If Sarah Palin can still ride around on her bus and be considered as a possible president, this man can override this, stay in congress and just hope there is another scandal that will take him –”
However, once again Walters contention was protested by Behar, who has a track record of not being a supporter of Palin.
“Let me defend Sarah for 30 seconds,” Behar protested. “The woman has no sex scandal in her dossier, in her arsenal. This is a completely different thing from Sarah Palin. And I want to defend her here.”

CNS News reports: The Congressional Budget Office (CBO) says the real cost of the federal government guaranteeing the business of failed mortgage giants Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac is $317 billion -- not the $130 billion normally claimed by the Obama administration.
“Specifically, CBO treats the mortgages guaranteed each year by the two GSEs as new guarantee obligations of the federal government,” the CBO report said. “For those guarantees, CBO’s projections of budget outlays equal the estimated federal subsidies inherent in the commitments at the time they are made.”
“In contrast, the Administration’s Office of Management and Budget continues to treat Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac as nongovernmental entities for budgetary purposes, and thus outside the budget,” the report stated. “It records as outlays the amount of the net cash payments provided by the Treasury to the GSEs.”  http://www.cnsnews.com/news/article/true-cost-fannie-freddie-bailouts-317-bi

The Washington Times reports: The White House said Monday that it has an obligation to answer lawmakers’ questions about U.S. involvement in NATO’s mission in Libya, but it wasn’t clear if the administration will comply with a House resolution passed Friday that threatens to withhold funding unless President Obama complies with demands for more information.

For example, the resolution seeks more information about difference between U.S. “political and military objectives regarding Libya and those of other NATO member states engaged in military activities.” It also calls on Mr. Obama to justify why he didn’t seek congressional authorization, warning that lawmakers have a “constitutional prerogative” to withhold funding for an unauthorized use of military forces.
The White House described the resolution, which passed 268-145, as “unhelpful.” Mr. Carney said the administration welcomes any expression of support Congress wishes to give - but it has sent no signal that it actually will seek approval.  http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2011/jun/6/white-house-says-it-complied-with-war-powers-act/

Yahoo opines: Bush vs Obama…a different approach?!?  [I feel compelled to add that if our President knew the first thing about leadership he would actually be leading others to do as he wants and then allowing them to think it was their idea, as Harlan Cleveland, Asst. Secretary of State for President Kennedy and Dean of the Maxwell School described in his book.....]

George W. Bush speech after capture of Saddam:
The success of yesterday's mission is a tribute to our men and women now serving in Iraq . The operation was based on the superb work of intelligence analysts who found the dictator's footprints in a vast country. The operation was carried out with skill and precision by a brave fighting force.  Our servicemen and women and our coalition allies have faced many dangers in the hunt for members of the fallen regime, and in their effort to bring hope and freedom to the Iraqi people. Their work continues, and so do the risks. Today, on behalf of the nation, I thank the members of our Armed Forces and I congratulate 'em.

Barack Obama speech after killing of bin Laden:
And so shortly after taking office, I directed Leon Panetta, the director of the CIA, to make

the killing or capture of bin Laden the top priority of our war against al Qaeda, even as we continued our broader efforts to disrupt, dismantle, and defeat his network. Then, last August, after years of painstaking work by our intelligence community, I was briefed on a possible lead to bin Laden. It was far from certain, and it took many months to run this thread to ground. I met repeatedly with my national security team as we developed more information about the possibility that we had located bin Laden hiding within a compound deep inside of Pakistan.  And finally, last week, I determined that we had enough intelligence to take action, and authorized an operation to get Osama bin Laden and bring him to justice. Today, at my direction, the United States launched a targeted operation against that compound in Abbottabad, Pakistan.  [I would say each man speaks for himself.  Character matters!]

Union conservative is organizing against forced membership; Romney for global warming initiatives; Obama's grand style in London; Bush vs Obama on leadership; Tea Parties and Herman Cain; State rethink tax credits

Mic41 reports: My name is Terry Bowman, UAW member, and President and founder of Union Conservatives.
We are a group that is--for the first time in union history--reaching out and organizing conservatives within the unions.
You see, we believe it's essential that conservative union members join together to confront the political injustice of forced unionism.  At least 40% of the 14.7 million union workers do not vote in line with the far-left political agenda of their union bosses.

Yet they are forced by law to pay for their political agenda or lose their job.
We are planning a press conference to announce to the citizens of Michigan that we are union workers who believe that everyone has a right to be in a union—but only if they choose to do so.
In January of 1962, President John Kennedy signed Executive Order #10988 which states:
“...Employees of the Federal Government shall have, and shall be protected in the exercise of, the right, freely and without fear of penalty or reprisal, to form, join or assist any employee organization, or to refrain from any such activity.   http://www.mic4l.com/campaigns/UnionConservativesLetter.php

Another view by Mitt Romney, as reported by Reuters:  "I believe the world is getting warmer, and I believe that humans have contributed to that," he told a crowd of about 200 at a town hall meeting in Manchester, New Hampshire.
"It's important for us to reduce our emissions of pollutants and greenhouse gases that may be significant contributors." http://www.reuters.com/article/2011/06/03/us-campaign-romney-idUSTRE7525GM20110603

In an Editorial, Dale Feathers of Scripps Howard News Service opines: Obama arrived [in London for
the G20 Summit] with 500 staff in tow, including 200 Secret Service agents, a team of six doctors, the
White House chef and kitchen staff with the president's own food and water.
And, according to the Evening Standard, he also came with "35 vehicles in all, four speech writers and 12 teleprompters." For sure, our president is not going to be at a loss for words.

The NYT writes: Those not frequenting Tea Party rallies or the living rooms and coffee shops of New Hampshire and Iowa might dismiss Mr. Cain, a talk radio host and former chief executive of Godfather’s Pizza, as a frivolous candidate — “the pizza guy” as some call him.
But there are signs of what Mr. Cain, in his booming baritone, calls “Old Man Mo — Momentum!”
A Gallup poll released last week showed Mr. Cain with the highest voter intensity score of any Republican presidential contender — far higher than Ms. Palin, a former governor of Alaska, or Mr. Romney, a former governor of Massachusetts. While Mr. Cain’s name recognition was at 37 percent, it had risen 16 points since March.  http://www.nytimes.com/2011/06/05/us/politics/05cain.html?_r=3&nl=todaysheadlines&emc=tha24

USA Today writes: Tough budget times are forcing state governments to rethink the tax breaks they grant.
Michigan last week eliminated several tax credits, including those for small donations made to universities, food banks, museums and public television. The state also capped at $25 million a year the tax incentives it gives the film industry, which has been lured to the state since 2008 by some of the more generous incentives in the nation. The changes were part of a tax overhaul that Republican Gov. Rick Snyder says will spur job growth.
The Oklahoma Legislature has set up a special committee to review tax incentives there. A report from the Oklahoma Tax Commission in October 2010 listed the cost of hundreds of credits and incentives. http://www.usatoday.com/news/nation/2011-06-05-states-budgets-tax-incentives-Michigan_n.htm
