In a surprising decision last week that drew little press attention, the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, handed the Boy Scouts a victory over a lesbian couple and an agnostic couple.  The Ninth Circuit is considered the most liberal appellate court in the land.

The Boy Scouts’ victory came nearly ten years after they were originally sued.

At issue in the case are leases between San Diego and the Boy Scouts which allow the Boy Scouts to build and operate camp grounds and an aquatic center for use by the Scouts and the public. The lesbian and agnostic couples sued even though they had never visited the facilities nor asked to join in scouting activities.

Richard Thompson, TMLC’s President and Chief Counsel, commented:

“The Plaintiff-couples never visited the facilities in question nor did they ask to participate in scout activities.  Their sole reason for bringing  this lawsuit was because they were offended and outraged by the Boy Scout’s  Oath to do his duty to God and his country and to keep himself morally straight.   Although the Ninth Circuit Court’s decision in favor of the Boy Scouts is to be applauded, the case should have been dismissed at the outset, since being offended by the Boy Scouts’ religiosity and opposition to homosexuality is not a basis for “standing” to bring the lawsuit.”  http://www.thomasmore.org/

That's the scenario where Congress fails to pass a farm bill to extend agricultural subsidies, which in turn would cause milk prices to soar.
But USDA data shows 2011 milk sales reached their lowest levels since 1984, according to the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel's Rick Barrett.
In September, Barrett wrote that total U.S. beverage milk sales last year were 53 billion pounds - about 6 billion gallons, he reports.
Plus, more than half of all adults no longer drink milk at all, data site Informa recently reported.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------What with a Presidential election, two severe hurricanes, multiple mass shootings and a fiscal cliff, it has been a busy year for Barack Obama.
But at every twist and turn, his decisions, reactions and emotions have been captured in photographs.

Now, as 2012 comes to a close, the President has pulled together a collection of his favourite pictures for the year and posted them to the White House Facebook page for America to enjoy.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Rep. Darrell E. Issa, California Republican and chairman of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, praised on Friday the inclusion of special provisions in the proposed 113th Congress rules package that will keep in place legal obligations on Attorney General Eric H. Holder Jr. and others at the Justice Department as a result of “Fast and Furious” subpoenas issued in the 112th Congress.
The inclusion in the House rules will allow a civil lawsuit, authorized by a bipartisan vote of the House in July 2012, to continue. Without the provisions, the Justice Department could have argued that its obligation to produce subpoenaed documents expired with the previous Congress. The lawsuit seeks the federal court to compel the production of the records.

“We must obey God rather than men!”—Acts 5:29.

Now that Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor has denied Hobby Lobby’s application for an emergency injunction protecting them from Obamacare’s HHS Mandate on abortion and birth control, Hobby Lobby has decided to defy the federal government to remain true to their religious beliefs, at enormous risk and financial cost.
This is civil disobedience, consistent with America’s highest traditions when moral issues are at stake. The Greens are a law-abiding family. They have no desire to defy their own government. But as the Founders launched the American Revolution because they believed the British government was violating their rights, the Greens believe that President Barack Obama and Secretary Kathleen Sebelius are commanding the Greens to sin against God, and that no government has the lawful authority to do so. http://www.breitbart.com/Big-Government/2012/12/28/Hobby-Lobby-Defies-Obama-Administration-with-Civil-Disobedience-for-Religious-Liberty

The House of Representatives passed H.R. 8 on August 1, 2012 on a strong bipartisan vote of 256 to 171.  The bill would postpone the "fiscal cliff" tax hikes for one year and set in place a process for fundamental tax reform in 2013.  Now nearly five months later, the Senate still refuses to act.
Even if Senate Democrats insist on tax hikes, their refusal to act on H.R.8 is unforgivable.  The U.S. Constitution is crystal clear in Article I, Section 7: "All Bills for raising Revenue shall originate in the House of Representatives; but the Senate may propose or concur with Amendments as on other Bills."  [Do you see how this works?  The Congress has been constantly chastised by Barack Obama for not doing their job - and then he gives them all a pay raise anyway.....]  http://action.americancommitment.org/8857/urgent-senate-must-act-on-hr-8/?src=facebook

Obama, the DHS, and guns; Obamacare affects businesses; Chicago Teachers Union sues;

"All propaganda has to be popular and has to accommodate itself to the comprehension of the least intelligent of those whom it seeks to reach."

--Adolf Hitler
“According to my source, there is talk among the highest levels of the uppermost echelon of the Department of Homeland Security, which he describes as effectively under the control of Barack Hussein Obama. During this call, he said that the DHS is actively preparing for massive social unrest inside the United States. [Do you recall the enormous number of bullets recently ordered by DHS and the IRS?] He then corrected himself, stating that “a civil war” is the more appropriate term. Certain elements of the government are not only expecting and preparing for it, they are actually facilitating it,” stated my source. (CFP May 8, 2012).  This CFP article is fascinating and includes the following: “The DHS takes their marching orders from the Obama administration, from Obama himself, but mostly from his un-appointed czars. And Jarrett, especially Valerie Jarrett. Don’t think for a minute that the administration is doing anything to stabilize events in the U.S. They are revolutionaries, and revolutionaries thrive on chaos,” he added.
Hagmann’s article went viral but as we all know last month saw the reelection of the man who would bring America into another Civil War.
Straight out of the Hagmann article came a warning that talk among the highest levels of the uppermost echelon of the Department of Homeland Security pointed to a coming “civil war”.
That Civil War was catapaulted to lead story position on the Drudge Report today.
“This is not a drill.  It’s the real thing,” Hagmann told Alex Jones on his radio show today.
Darkness is descending on America.
Historians will record December 27, 2012 as the day freedom died in ‘The Land of the Free’.

Democrat Corey Booker: Mentally Stable Gun Purchasers Rarely Commit Crime

Newark mayor Corey Booker appeared on ABC News and characterized the current gun control debate as a “false dichotomy.” It was definitely refreshing to see a Democrat engage in some free-thinking and dispel some erroneous notions.
“I’m not afraid of law-abiding citizens who buy a gun,” he said. “Buy the guns you want. What the problem is in America right now is that a terrorist person who is on the no-fly list could go into the secondary market today and buy a weapon.”
“Criminals are killing people,” the mayor added. “Not law-abiding gun owners.”  [Do you see one reason why I really am impressed with this Democrat?] http://www.ijreview.com/2012/12/26669-free-thinking-democrat-pariah-corey-booker-mentally-stable-gun-purchasers-rarely-commit-crimes/

    • Craft store giant Hobby Lobby is bracing for a $1.3 million a day fine beginning January 1 for noncompliance with the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, dubbed Obamacare. The company opposes providing some contraceptives to employees through its company health care plan on religious grounds, saying some contraceptive products, like the morning after pill, equate to abortion.
After failing to receive temporary relief from the fines from the Supreme Court, Hobby Lobby announced late Thursday through its attorneys that it "will continue to provide health insurance to all qualified employees. To remain true to their faith, it is not their intention, as a company, to pay for abortion-inducing drugs."
In the face of that opposition, the Department of Health and Human Services tweaked its original rule in February to require health insurers, not employers, to cover the cost of contraception coverage, reasoning that would prevent religious groups from having to finance such coverage. Critics have argued that exemption for nonprofits is far too narrow and a host of nonprofit religious groups have sued the administration over the regulations.
The Internal Revenue Service regulations now say that a group health care plan that "fails to comply" with the Affordable Care Act is subject to an "excise tax" of "$100 per day per individual for each day the plan does not comply with the requirement." It remains unclear how the IRS would implement and collect the excise tax. http://religion.blogs.cnn.com/2012/12/27/hobby-lobby-faces-millions-in-fines-for-bucking-obamacare/

A federal judge ruled on Monday that the state of Oklahoma has the right to cut taxpayer funding to the Planned Parenthood abortion business. The abortion giant sued the state of Oklahoma after state officials yanked taxpayer funds it received through a taxpayer-funded program that provides food for low income women and children.
In October, Oklahoma officials dropped the abortion giant so it could steer tax dollars to legitimate agencies helping women and children in need. http://www.lifenews.com/2012/12/26/judge-confirms-oklahoma-can-cut-planned-parenthood-funding/

Brits Petition Government: We Don’t Want Piers Morgan Back

Clarkson: ‘It took us 40 years to get rid of him’
Prison Planet.com

Brits have responded to the petition calling on the White House to deport Piers Morgan for his anti-second amendment stance by lodging a petition of their own with UK Home Secretary Theresa May entitled ‘Stop Piers Morgan from being deported back to the UK from America’.
The original petition to deport Morgan for his unconstitutional rhetoric following the Sandy Hook school shooting has now achieved almost 70,000 signatures, well beyond the 25,000 required to mandate a White House response. http://www.prisonplanet.com/brits-petition-government-we-dont-want-piers-morgan-back.html
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
While CNN’s Piers Morgan is a well known critic of America’s Second Amendment, he has now ventured into a new campaign to reform another document critical in the development of western civilization; the Bible.
During a discussion on CNN’s “Piers Morgan Tonight” on Monday — Christmas Eve — with Saddleback Church Pastor Rick Warren, Morgan argued that there needs to be an “amendment to the Bible” for same-sex marriage, because like the Constitution, the Bible is “inherently flawed.”
Morgan’s campaign has infuriated Second Amendment enthusiasts, leading to a petition to the White House signed by over 75,000 calling for the CNN host’s deportation back to Britain. This development led to a counter protest in the UK “Stop Piers Morgan from being deported back to the UK from America.” http://www.theblaze.com/stories/piers-morgan-both-the-bible-and-u-s-constitution-are-inherently-flawed-and-need-to-be-amended/

This year marked the 20th anniversary of the Los Angeles riots, sparked by the acquittal of four Los Angeles Police Department officers accused of beating the now-deceased Rodney King. During the five days, mobs around Los Angeles looted stores, burnt 3,767 buildings, caused more than $1 billion in property damage, and led to the deaths of more than 50 people and left another 4,000 injured. A story that has been forgotten since then is that of the brave storeowners in Koreatown who fended off mobs with handguns, rifles and assault weapons.

On the second day of the riots, the police had abandoned much of Koreatown. Jay Rhee, a storeowner in the area, stated to The Los Angeles Times, “we have lost faith in the police.”

With the cops nowhere to be found, hundreds of people marauded through the streets towards Koreatown. The neighborhood suffered 45 percent of all the property damage and five fatalities of storeowners during the riots. Having had enough of waiting for police, Korean storeowners assembled into militias to protect themselves, their families, and businesses.

According to the Los Angeles Times, “From the rooftops of their supermarkets, a group of Koreans armed with shotguns and automatic weapons peered onto the smoky streets…Koreans have turned their pastel-colored mini-malls into fortresses against looters tide.”  https://www.facebook.com/supermom7972/posts/145591738923630

Bloggers Outing Gun Owner Outers at The Journal News

In a politically driven world that gets away with pretending that criminals and terrorists don’t exist but deceitfully brands innocent gun owners as criminals, thousands of New York citizens with handgun permits have had their names and addresses outed on an interactive map—still up—on The Journal News website, LoHud.com.

ABC News Commenter George Thompson’s wish seems to have come true after he posited: “How about a map of the editorial staff and publishers of Gannett and Journal News with names and addresses of their families”, in the comment section for a story about the Journal News’ interactive map carried by ABC News.

Plea for help from Chinese labor camp worker paid $1.61 per MONTH found stuffed in Oregon woman's Halloween decorations from Kmart

'We're in no position to confirm the veracity or origin of this,' she said. 'I think it is fair to say the conditions described in the letter certainly conform to what we know about conditions in re-education through labor camps.'
China's re-education through labor is a system of punishment that allows for detention without trial.
Masanjia labor camp is located in the industrialized capital of the Liaoning Province in northeast China.  [Now which democrat politician recently praised they way things are done in China? Oh, yes, it was Elizabeth Warren, praising Communist China as a Model for America in a campaign commercial from the Democratic candidate for U.S. ... WND has selected U.S. Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts Jr. for its first-ever Benedict Arnold Award.
“There are lots of bad guys out there who would qualify as ‘Villain of the Year,’ but precious few candidates for the ‘Benedict Arnold Award,’” explained WND Vice President and Managing Editor David Kupelian. “Benedict Arnold, after all, was a good guy; he was an American general in the Revolutionary War who fought valiantly on behalf of the Continental Army – that is, until, for reasons yet unknown, he defected to the British side and betrayed the cause he had formerly served.”
Kupelian added, “That pretty much describes Justice Roberts, who gained the enthusiastic support of conservatives and other Constitution-lovers by virtue of his earlier rulings and judicial temperament, and yet betrayed that trust in a devastating way. And we still don’t know why he did it.”

Someone needs to tell Barack Obama—it must get particularly confusing this time of year—that his own birth is not Year One, the date around which all other events are understood. His much-noted, self-referential tic was on cringe-worthy display Friday when the president gave his eulogy for the late Sen. Daniel Inouye, who served in Congress for half a century representing Obama’s birth state of Hawaii. Inouye was a Japanese-American war hero (he lost an arm in World War II, destroying his dream of becoming a surgeon), and as a senator he served on the Watergate committee, http://www.slate.com/articles/news_and_politics/politics/2012/12/barack_obama_s_eulogy_to_daniel_inouye_told_us_more_about_the_president.html

Obama can't help but rub our noses in his election victory

Recall that Barack Obama told voters on the campaign trail not to boo when he mentioned Mitt Romney's name but "to vote for revenge."

He was appealing to the lowest common denominator in people: the desire to blame others for their woes.

Patrick O'Connor and Peter Nicholas report in the Wall Street Journal:

At one point, according to notes taken by a participant, Mr. Boehner told the president, "I put $800 billion [in tax revenue] on the table. What do I get for that?"
"You get nothing," the president said. "I get that for free."

Boehner - at great personal and political risk to himself - offered to negotiate a deal with the President to avoid going off the fiscal cliff and gets his nose rubbed into the dirt.

He again boasted of his winning the election - in a new variation of 'I won":

EAGnews.org: Former President Obama grillout buddy and self-described communist Bill Ayers came out this month to discuss how leftists can mold America to their liking: through access to schools. Ayers is famous for, in 1969, helping found Weather Underground, a self-described communist revolutionary group that bombed public buildings including police stations, the Pentagon, and the U.S. Capitol to provoke social unrest. Ayers also directed a school that allowed no grades or report cards in an effort to discourage competition.

A 1973 book Ayers coauthored was dedicated to Sirhan Sirhan, the convicted assassin of Robert Kennedy. He has spoken and written frequently on education and assisted former Chicago Mayor Richard Daley in reshaping the city's schools in the 1990s. Sol Stern has written in City Journal: "Calling Bill Ayers a school reformer is a bit like calling Joseph Stalin an agricultural reformer." http://www.breitbart.com/Breitbart-TV/2012/12/22/Bill-Ayers-On-Liberal-Indoctrination-the-left-must-utilize-its-absolute-access-to-classrooms
