Worse than Richard Nixon. An unprecedented abuse of powers. The most un-American president in the nation’s history.
Nat Hentoff does not think much of President Obama.
And now, the famous journalist says it is time to begin looking into impeachment.
Hentoff sees the biggest problem as Obama’s penchant to rule by executive order when he can’t convince Congress to do things his way.
“Apparently he doesn’t give one damn about the separation of powers,” Hentoff told WND. “Never before in our history has a president done these things.”
Recognized as one of the foremost authorities on the Bill of Rights and the Supreme Court, Hentoff was a columnist and staff writer with The Village Voice for 51 years, from 1957 until 2008, when his columns began appearing in WND.

When closely examined, however, the initiatives are embedded with plans for major fundamental changes.  Well-known recent examples include the Common Core, the Affordable Care Act, and Agenda 21.
One such initiative with the hidden potential for sweeping transformation is the "internationalization" of higher education.  It is a diffuse movement advanced by numerous groups and individuals throughout academia, from independent centers to professional associations to college faculty and administrators.  Despite an innocent façade, its declared intention provides cover for a highly aggressive campaign of multiculturalism, "global citizenship," redistributive economics, and anti-Western attitudes.
One organization attempting to take the lead is the Association of International Education Administrators (AEIA).  http://www.americanthinker.com/2014/01/global_citizens_of_the_world_obey.htmlhttp://

Dev Davis, research manager at CREDO at Stanford University, said they found that 70 percent of the charter students were economically disadvantaged, meaning they were eligible for free or reduced price meals. She said 55 percent of the traditional public school students were economically disadvantaged.
Also, the Stanford study found that black and Hispanic students did "significantly" better in reading and math when in charter schools than their peers in conventional public schools.  http://www.michigancapitolconfidential.com/19477

Pledging to eventually vacate the state, Hannity delivered a pointed message on his radio show Monday, saying, “Gov. Cuomo, I’m going to leave and I’m taking all of my money with me — every single solitary penny.”
Hannity went on to remind the governor that there are numerous employees who work for his radio and television programs and that these individuals will be out of a job if he decides to move out of the state.       From The Blaze.com

American influence in the Middle East will dwindle to Iran's benefit if the United States responds to the Arab Spring upheaval by pulling government aid, the Obama administration's top diplomat for the region told Congress Wednesday.
Instead, Assistant Secretary of State for Near Eastern Affairs Jeffrey Feltman testified that lawmakers should approve the administration's request to create a $770 million incentive fund to support democratic and free-market reforms in the region. The fund would address the root causes of the upheaval, Feltman said, while “lack of these reforms will continue to undermine our interests across the board.”  Read more: http://thehill.com/blogs/global-affairs/middle-east-north-africa/226527-state-department-urges-congress-to-continue-pouring-money-into-arab-countries#ixzz2r3er2Na3

Why is the EPA altering state boundaries in Wyoming - and reversing over 100 years of established law?  Well, apparently the city of Riverton now falls under the jurisdiction of the Wind River Indian Reservation.  This, obviously, isn't sitting well with the governor's office - which is urging the EPA to reconsider its ruling and respect the rule of law.
Reacting to the decision to reduce the size of Wyoming by about a million acres, Wyoming Governor Matt Mead warned of the dangers to all Americans of this type of unilateral land redistribution by the EPA:

More programs in our public schools

Unions oppose bipartisan effort to keep criminals out of public schools

– Federal lawmakers want to prevent schools from employing convicted sex offenders, kidnappers, murderers, pornographers, spouse beaters and rapists.
Public schools would be barred from employing teachers and other workers convicted of sexual offenses against children or other violent crimes under a bill the House approved Tuesday.
The bill has run into objections from major teachers' unions like the National Education Association and the American Federation of Teachers. In letters to lawmakers, their criticisms included concerns that the measure might jeopardize workers' protections under union contracts.
In addition, the NEA wrote that criminal background checks "often have a huge, racially disparate impact" — a reference to critics' complaints that minorities make up a disproportionately high proportion of people convicted of crimes. http://www.newstribune.com/news/2013/oct/23/house-bill-makes-schools-check-sex-offenders/

Attention, parents: Common Core opt-out form now available

Courtesy of Truth in American Education, you can now exercise your parental rights to protect your children from the nationalized Common Core racket. Download, print, Facebook, tweet, and share the opt-out form. The revolt is growing. Make your voice and your choice heard.

As the American Principles Project, a conservative education think tank, reported last year, Common Core’s technological project is “merely one part of a much broader plan by the federal government to track individuals from birth through their participation in the workforce.” The 2009 porkulus package included a “State Fiscal Stabilization Fund” to bribe states into constructing “longitudinal data systems (LDS) to collect data on public-school students.”
These systems will aggregate massive amounts of personal data — health-care histories, income information, religious affiliations, voting status and even blood types and homework completion. The data will be available to a wide variety of public agencies. And despite federal student-privacy protections guaranteed by the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act, the Obama administration is paving the way for private entities to buy their way into the data boondoggle. Even more alarming, the U.S. Department of Education is encouraging a radical push from aggregate-level data-gathering to invasive individual student-level data collection. http://michellemalkin.com/2013/03/11/attention-parents-common-core-opt-out-form-now-available/

AND THEY WONDER WHY IT IS CALLED “OBAMACORE”???

Proponents of Common Core are outraged that opponents sometimes brand the education reform initiative as “Obamacore“. Really? Just because it is already being used a a propaganda tool to promote the President?
Recently, at least one Tennessee school had students complete an assignment as part of the CCSS (Common Core State Standards) approved lesson plans. The first part of the assignment was for students to read President Barack Obama’s 2009 Inauguration Address. Then they had to answer the “Big Question.” And what WAS the “Big Question”?? “How will President Obama make our country more secure. What role does he see our country playing in the world.”

All the employees of school districts on a witch hunt to expel and otherwise permanently punish young boys for shooting toy guns or forming their fists into the shape of a gun need to read Back to Normal.
The purpose of psychologist Enrico Gnaulati’s 2013 book is to argue how ordinary childhood behavior is often misdiagnosed as ADD, ADHD, depression and autism — frequently with life-long, disturbing consequences. But along the way he raises the taboo question of whether we “label boys as mentally unstable, behaviorally unmanageable, academically underachieving, in need of special-education services, or displaying behavior warranting school suspension just because their behavior deviates noticeably from that of the average girl?”
He adds, “In a sense, girl behavior has become the standard by which we judge all kids.”
Boys who play in the way noted above are not on a path to mass murder, contrary to what zero tolerance school policies suggest. http://spectator.org/archives/2013/10/18/boyhood-is-not-a-mental-illnes

Muskegon, MI: Fourth graders learn to own their ‘white privilege’ – thanks to Common Core-aligned lesson
-----------------------------

Sixth-grade children in a history class in the Bryant School District in Arkansas (whose website brags that the district "has embraced" Common Core standards) were assigned a project to update the U.S. Bill of Rights because it is "outdated." They were instructed to "prioritize, revise, omit two and add two amendments."
The written assignment is full of lies, such as "the government of the United States is currently revisiting the Bill of Rights"; that "They (presumably the government) have determined that it is outdated and may not remain in its current form any longer;" and that our Constitution can be changed by a "National Revised Bill of Rights Task Force (NRBR)" (to which students could be appointed).
Students were presented with the "lifeboat situation": too many people are in the sinking lifeboat and the students were ordered to choose whose lives are not worth saving and should be thrown overboard so the lifeboat won't sink. Variations of the lifeboat situation have been widely used in public schools for many years. http://townhall.com/columnists/phyllisschlafly/2013/10/22/checking-your-kids-school-assignments-n1729032/page/full

Zaner-Bloser, which is based in Columbus, Ohio, is distributing a lesson plan aimed at teaching second-graders about “equality” by highlighting labor issues, according to Education Action Group Foundation, a non-partisan organization that looks to promote education reform.
As part of the plan, students spend a week reading “Harvesting Hope,” a book about Chavez written by children’s author Kathleen Krull, and then discuss what the lesson plan calls “scales of fairness,” which compare the living conditions of farm workers to that of land owners.
“Why are we teaching organized labor lessons to young children?” asked Kyle Olson, the publisher of the group’s website. “Isn’t there a simpler way to teach about fairness, like saying it’s not fair if Johnny works all day and gets one piece of candy while Jimmy plays video games all day and gets the same piece of candy?”  “Our focus is on distinctive programs that inspire all students to become engaged, literate participants in the global society.”

Just how your children are being indoctrinated while at school

Just why am I posting these stories for you to read?  I am trying to convince you that you need to take an active role in learning just what your children are being taught.  You need to stand up for what is right, to demonstrate to your children that you are willing to take a stand against progressive education.

A
classroom of 14 and 15-year-old Illinois high school students were assigned the task of deciding the fate of ten fictional characters in an exercise that critics called a lesson in death panels.
The assignment was part of a sociology unit for freshmen and sophomore students at St. Joseph-Ogden High School and was first reported by writer Lenny Jarratt.
The lesson involves 10 people who are in desperate need of kidney dialysis. But there’s a problem. The local hospital only has enough machines to support six patients. “That means four people are not going to live,” the assignment states. “You must decide from the information below which six will survive.” [Preparing our children for serving on Death Panels, perhaps?  This ought to make them feel oh, so safe.]
“The first thing I thought was they were desensitizing kids to death panels,” he told me. “They are preparing them for it.”
Principal Brian Brooks told me that assessment is way off base. “The assignment has nothing to do with a ‘Death Panel,’” he said.  He said the purpose of the lesson was to teach students about social values and how people in our society unfortunately create biases based off of professions, race and gender.

The first worksheet is the tale of Peter and Patty. It’s a terrible piece of literature (I’m using the word ‘literature’ very loosely). In the Tony Award-winning play — which students performed in class rather than in public — a middle-aged man with a wife and teenage son admits he’s in love with a goat named Sylvia with whom he’s had sex, the Arizona Republic reports, adding that the play also explores themes of tolerance, morality, and revenge [including incest].

MORE PORNO RECOMMENDED BY COMMON CORE — THE BLUEST EYE

[Macey has heavily edited the following excerpts from “The Bluest Eye” by Toni Morrison, but they are still very graphic.
In fact, the author of the book, Morrison, says that she wanted the reader to feel as though they are a “co-conspirator” with the rapist. She took pains to make sure she never portrayed the actions as wrong in order to show how everyone has their own problems. She even goes as far as to describe the pedophilia, rape and incest “friendly,” “innocent,” and “tender.” It’s no wonder that this book is in the top 10 list of most contested books in the country.

Obamacare and Obama's Government Shutdown

--------------------------------
[We all knew this was coming.  So then why should we worry over those furloughed workers more than the inconvenienced citizens of America, or the children with cancer, as Harry Reid asked?  I think I want a government furlough, don't you?] Over the weekend, the House held a vote and agreed—without a single exception—that when this government shutdown is all over, all these "non-essential" government bureaucrats who have been loafing around at home all this time will all be given back pay for work they did not perform.
So instead of getting a little taste of the furloughs, layoffs, and firings private American workers have been suffering for years in this nasty economy, these federal bureaucrats would be granted extended paid vacations. http://www.breitbart.com/Big-Government/2013/10/09/the-nuclear-option-non-essential

The question is will you agree to ObamaCare, just as in Berlin the question was whether you would get a Soviet ration card, fill your wallet with Ostmarks and submit to a Soviet takeover. The Communists assumed that cutting off food would force the residents of Berlin to use Soviet ration cards and currency.
They were wrong.
The residents were able to see that short term food from the USSR would mean decades of little food under Communist rule. Similarly any temporary benefits from ObamaCare will mean national shortages of health care in the future.
The National Park Service’s abusive antics, which include kicking senior citizens out of their cabins and detaining others at a hotel under armed guard, are about power.  http://frontpagemag.com/2013/dgreenfield/the-obama-blockade/

Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) on Wednesday criticized the first week of ObamaCare as a system that threatens to fine people for failing to buy health insurance on websites that don't work.

“How can we tax people for not buying a product from a website that doesn't work?” he asked on the House floor. [This is the kind of stuff that makes me crazy.  Actually, Mr. Boehner, the Secretary of Health and Human Services, she who has the ultimate power to enact regulations as she alone sees fit, with no Congressional oversight, said on TV that if someone wants a one year reprieve from the Obamacare mandate such as has been given to big business, all they have to do is not sign up.  They they would simply pay the FINE instead.  First of all, business does not pay a fine.  Second of all, in order for this to be deemed Constitutional by the Supreme Court the "fine" was rewritten to be a "tax".  Our MS. Sebelius seems not to understand her own law and the way in which it was passed, as she sees it as a fine for bad behavior, not going along with Obama's plan. Well, that's about right.  Why can't our supposed LEADER point this out?]  Read more: http://thehill.com/blogs/floor-action/house/327489-boehner-obamacare-threatens-fines-but-fails-to-deliver-care#ixzz2hFpGJMI1

Republican Speaker of the House of Representatives, John Boehner, epitomized what has been wrong with the Republicans for decades when he emerged from a White House meeting last Wednesday, went over to the assembled microphones, briefly expressed his disgust with the Democrats' intransigence and walked on away.
We are in the midst of a national crisis, immediately affecting millions of Americans and potentially affecting the kind of country this will become if ObamaCare goes into effect — and yet, with multiple television network cameras focused on Speaker Boehner as he emerged from the White House, he couldn't be bothered to prepare a statement that would help clarify a confused situation, full of fallacies and lies. http://www.creators.com/conservative/thomas-sowell/inarticulate-republicans.html

This week Senate Majority leader Harry Reid defended his refusal to negotiate with Republicans over Obamacare and the debt in these words: “We are here to support the federal government. That’s our job.” End quote. Forget about representing the people whom our Founders made sovereign. Forget what America is about. http://frontpagemag.com/2013/david-horowitz/the-threat-we-face-2/

I can assure you it’s not posturing. It’s not a political play or anything like that,” Rep. Phil Gingrey, R-Ga., told CQ Roll Call on Tuesday.
Gingrey said Republicans were “absolutely” prepared to lose the House to extract concessions on the CR and the debt limit, and he said the White House is “missing the determination of the Republican Party.”
“I mean, they seem to think that we will miss this opportunity for a ‘Braveheart’ moment to do the right thing for the American people and that we’ll back down for fear of losing the House and not gaining control of the Senate,” Gingrey said.
President Barack Obama held a news conference Tuesday during which he reiterated his position that Democrats would not negotiate with Republicans “for the mere act of reopening the government or paying our bills.”  http://blogs.rollcall.com/218/republicans-obama-debt-default/

T
he Obama administration insisted Tuesday it had no choice but to withhold death benefits to relatives of 1st Lt. Jennifer Moreno, a 25-year-old soldier born and raised in San Diego, and four other soldiers killed since the partial government shutdown began Oct. 1.
This is ridiculous and perverse. In denying death benefits to the relatives of fallen U.S. soldiers, however, the Obama administration has broken new ground in its budget theater. This decision is accurately described as depraved. http://www.utsandiego.com/news/2013/oct/09/denial-of-death-benefits-shame-on-president-obama/

Detached from his teleprompter, Barack Obama is a strangely different character.
Speaking this afternoon to the White House press corps, Obama went off script to scorn House Republicans negotiating to end the shutdown. Obama compared Republicans to negligent home borrowers, saying of people who don’t pay their home mortgages, “they’re just deadbeats.” Read more at NetRightDaily.com: http://netrightdaily.com/2013/10/obama-lashes-deadbeats/#ixzz2hEP8nLmV

O
UTRAGE: Allegedly Closed National Park Service Sends Agents to Remove Water Spigots
The latest malicious act against the American public comes via the National Park Service. We now learn the NPS is actually sending federal agents out on trails and into parks to physically remove water spigots.
It what looks like a spiteful move, the NPS even removed handles from water spigots along the Chesapeake and Ohio canal where bikers and joggers exercise as well as along the Great Allegheny Passage, just to ensure people don’t get any water from them.
Instead of saving money, the NPS is expending additional resources to go out of its way to close such locations and to make people miserable.  - See more at: http://www.libertynews.com/2013/10/outrage-allegedly-closed-national-park-service-sends-agents-to-remove-water-spigots/#sthash.wDZoOvJB.dpuf

Nearly two dozen people have been issued citations for entering Grand Canyon National Park after a partial government shutdown forced its closure.
Grand Canyon Chief Ranger Bill Wright says some people have been caught at the South Rim, on trails, attempting rim-to-rim hikes or trying to sneak in through dirt roads.
All of the citations will be handled by the U.S. Attorney’s Office. Wright says each of the 21 citations issued as of Monday has a mandatory order to appear in federal court. http://lasvegas.cbslocal.com/2013/10/08/grand-canyon-cites-people-for-entering-closed-park/

It was announced today that an annual sandcastle contest on San Francisco’s Ocean Beach has been cancelled out of sheer malice by the Obama administration, despite the fact that the beach on which it is held — part of the Golden Gate National Recreation Area — normally has no lifeguards, no rangers, is permanently open to the public, and requires no funds for day-to-day operations: http://pjmedia.com/tatler/2013/10/09/sandcastles-verboten-obama-boots-kids-sandcastle-contest-off-beach/

The Million Vet March on the Memorials will be held Sunday, Oct. 13, at 9 a.m. Eastern at the World War II memorial on the National Mall, the location where rangers under orders from the White House tried, unsuccessfully, to prevent vets from visiting in recent days.
The announcement said the group Special Operations Speaks is organizing the rally because the Obama administration “is using the government shutdown as an excuse to keep our veterans from acknowledging the debt owed to them and their predecessors.” Read more at http://www.wnd.com/2013/10/super-rally-against-president-in-works/#B0bvrCwjhmByGbha.99

Many people signing up for health care in Florida through the Affordable Care Act have been shocked when they have to give proof of their credit score before they finish the process.
Anne Packham, one of many people licensed by the state to help people navigate the government's website, said on Tuesday that the credit check occurs so providers can make an educated decision about who to insure.
"If someone is defaulting on all of their bills they may not want to have them as part of their health plan," said Packham, the lead Navigator in Florida.
Participants with low credit scores could end up paying higher premiums, according to Packham, who said that ultimately the insurance company makes the call. http://www.redflagnews.com/headlines/credit-scores-impacting-obamacare-insurance-plans

Major insurers, state health-care officials and Democratic allies repeatedly warned the Obama administration in recent months that the new federal health-insurance exchange had significant problems, according to people familiar with the conversations. Despite those warnings and intense criticism from Republicans, the White House proceeded with an Oct. 1 launch. http://www.elpasotimes.com/politics-national/?third_party=many-tried-to-warn-officials-of-obamacare-website-jam

Millions Of Workers May Choose To Go Part-Time Once Obamacare Kicks In
the ACA will enable part-timers to have access to medical benefits that rival those of full-timers, giving them greater freedom to choose part-time work.
The perk that is usually offered only to full-time employees — affordable health care — will now be offered to part-time employees. As a result, millions of workers who are working full-time may choose to work part-time instead, University of Chicago economics professor Casey Mulligan said in a recent paper published with the  National Bureau of Economic Research.
Workers who choose to reduce their own hours may end up faring better financially by paying lower  premiums offered to part-time rs through government exchanges ra ther than working a few more hours and  purchasing health care through an employer, s aid Mulligan.  http://finance.yahoo.com/news/millions-workers-may-choose-part-131500251.html

[This long article is well worth the read, as it discusses the Threat We Face as Progressives in our government - Obama, Valerie Jarrett, David Axelrod, and Huma Abadein - have connections to Communists and are intent on bringing down  our government. There are four defining features of the left, which distinguish it as a movement of individuals who approach politics quite differently from pragmatically-minded conservatives. The first of these features is their alienation from country: The answer to all these questions is that Obama doesn’t identify with our country. He sees himself as a “citizen of the world,” and a redresser of grievances for the suffering he imagines America has inflicted on our adversaries, including Hitlerite Iran.
To sum this up: Progressives see themselves as an army of the saints, and their opponents as the party of Satan; and that will justify almost anything you can get away with.  http://frontpagemag.com/2013/david-horowitz/the-threat-we-face-2/
