A Freedom of Information Act request last week showed that the
Department of Justice dropped a sexual abuse civil rights investigation
the day after President Barack Obama’s inauguration, citing “conflict of
interest.”
In 2009, Herman Thomas, a black Democratic judge who had been elected
numerous times in an Alabama county with predominantly white and
Republican population, saw what had been a promising career come to an
abrupt halt after he
was indicted
on charges of sodomy, kidnapping, sex abuse, extortion, assault and
ethics violations. According to the indictment, Thomas was accused of
sexually abusing male inmates in exchange for leniency.
According to information received in the FOIA request by
Lagniappe,
a bi-weekly Mobile, Ala.-based alternative newspaper, an order was sent
on Jan. 21, 2009, to drop the investigation citing an undisclosed
“conflict of interest.” Ten of 11 pages were withheld in the returned
FOIA request.

“educate” agents about Muslim customs and beliefs in an attempt to help

Well, now it appears the FBI has taken another giant step down a very
dangerous path with FBI Director Robert Mueller’s secret meeting with
radical Islamic organizations and allowing them effectively to “edit”
the FBI’s training manuals.

against the Obama Department of Justice (DOJ) and the Federal Bureau of
Investigation (FBI) seeking access to records detailing a February 8,
2012, meeting between FBI Director Robert Mueller and Muslim
organizations. Judicial Watch is also investigating the FBI’s subsequent
controversial decision to purge the agency’s training curricula of
material deemed “offensive” to Muslims.
We’ve also asked for records of communications between the Office of the
Attorney General and several entities, including the Obama White House,
the Executive Office of the President, and Muslim organizations, such
as the Muslim Brotherhood, the Islamic Society of North America, and the
Council for American-Islamic Relations regarding the FBI’s curricula on
Islam.
The material purge was allegedly initiated in response to a letter of
complaint sent by Senator Dick Durbin (D-IL). However, other members of
Congress, including Rep. Allen West (R-FL), object to allowing radical
Muslim organizations the opportunity to dictate U.S. counterterrorism
policy and want the material to be reinserted into the documents: “Now
you have an environment of political correctness which precludes these
agents from doing their proper job and due diligence to go after the
perceived threat,”

requiring photo ID for voting, an NAACP executive sits in prison,
sentenced for carrying out a massive voter fraud scheme.
In a story ignored by the national media, in April a Tunica County,
Miss., jury convicted NAACP official Lessadolla Sowers on 10 counts of
fraudulently casting absentee ballots. Sowers is identified on an NAACP
website as a member of the Tunica County NAACP Executive Committee.
“This crime cuts against the fabric of our free society,” Judge Webster said.

Wake County, North Carolina, Democrats have admitted to voter fraud
charges, according to local news reports.
Kierra Fontae Leache, Shelia Romona Hodges and Brandon Earl Mclean
each admitted to casting two ballots in recent elections. Local reports
indicate all three voted for President Barack Obama twice in 2008.

Thousands of absentee ballots cast by military service personnel
often go uncounted, according to election experts who say the problem
has always existed but is even more of an issue in presidential election
years.
“The problem has always existed, given the high degree of mobility
of our fighting forces,” Eric Eversole, founder and executive director
of the Military Voter Protection Project, told the
Dayton Daily News Tuesday.
The project, which tracks military votes, found in 2010 that only
4.5 percent of the 2 million military and overseas voters reported to
the Election Assistance Commission were able to cast absentee ballots
that were actually counted. Meanwhile, the overall national voter
participation rate for the 2010 election was 41.6 percent.

After a year full of victories for big government legislation in
Congress, the forces of statism seemed to have met their Waterloo with
the farm/food stamp bill. The more people learned of the profligate
food stamp spending and the market distorting, risk-inducing agriculture
programs contained in the bill, the more they spoke out against this
monstrosity. Speaker Boehner has refused to bring the bill to the floor
so far.
Seeing their political stock rapidly diminish, the bipartisan
coalition of government-run agriculture took a page out of Rahm
Emanuel’s playbook and decided not to let the crisis of the summer
drought go to waste. They are using evocative imagery of dead crops and
the fear of higher food prices to shove this $957 billion behemoth

U.S. farmers face this drought
in their strongest financial position in history, buoyed by less debt,
record-high grain and land prices, plus greater production and exports,”

Kiev—Last week’s surprise announcement of U.S. Ambassador to
Poland Lee Feinstein’s retirement highlighted a string of policy
missteps by the Obama administration that have left many in the Polish
government and population questioning Obama’s commitment to the two

Conversations with Poles reveal that they feel as if President Obama
values his “re-set” in relations with Moscow more than relations with

can either give up practicing their religion or give up owning their

Now that the Supreme Court has upheld the Patient Protection and
Affordable Care Act and its mandate that individuals must buy health
insurance, this suit which seeks to protect a small business from being
forced to take actions that violate the moral and religious beliefs of
the family that owns it is likely to be the next major court battle over
Obamacare.
At stake is whether businesses are protected by the First
Amendment—the part of the Bill of Rights that guarantees not only the
free exercise of religion but also freedom of speech and of the press.
