THE RADICAL MENTORS, FRIENDS, ASSOCIATES, COLLEAGUES, APPOINTEES AND CZARS OF PRESIDENT BARACK HUSSEIN OBAMA - 2009
{In college}, “To avoid being mistaken for a sellout, I chose my friends carefully. The more politically active black students. The foreign students. The Chicanos. The Marxist professors and structural feminists.”
~ (Barack Obama, President, from his book Dreams Of My Father)
AND
“WE ARE FIVE DAYS AWAY FROM FUNDAMENTALLY TRANSFORMING THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA!” (October 31, 2008)
To which I add: we are known by the company we keep. Just when will our President be known by the company he keeps?
His Appointees and Colleagues: (as taken from Google sites)
Secretary of Treasury Timothy Geithner: He heads the government's IRS and owes $34,000 of taxes for income he did not report while working for the International Monetary Fund. This comes to light, even though Geithner now says he will go after those of us who deliberately attempt to avoid taxes!
Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel: lived rent free for years without divulging this gift as Congress rules demand. He is infamous for sending a 2 1/2ft. stinking fish carcass to a pollster who displeased him. He also repeatedly stabbed a table with a knife while naming Clinton enemies, saying each of their names followed by the word "DEAD! His strong-arm style of work has earned him the nickname of Rhambo.
Eric Holder, Obama's Attorney General, was part of the cover-up of Waco and part of the Elian Gonzales debacle. Worse, he advised Clinton to give pardons to tax cheat Mark Rich, as well as 16 FALN terrorists, without ever talking to the victims.
Ron Kirk, US Trade Representative underpaid his taxes by $9975
Bill Richardson, tapped to be Commerce Secretary, withdrew when he was being investigated for being part of a pay-for-play scandal. Though charges have been dropped, his innocence is an open question.
David Ogden, Obama's Deputy Attorney General, in charge of the prosecution of obscenity and child porn laws, has had a long list of pornographers as clients, objecting to the regulation of pornographers. He believes that clinics should be allowed to give abortions to underage girls without parental consent.
Tom Daschle, Obama's strongly supported pick for Secretary of Health and Human Services, had a car and driver at taxpayer expense, failed to report over $80,000 of consulting income in 2007, took deductions for $15,000 of donations to charities which don't qualify for deductions, and owes $146,000 in taxes. Yet he is quoted in 1998 as saying, "Make no mistake. Tax cheaters cheat us all, and the IRS should enforce our laws to the letter." In addition, his radical agenda on Universal Health Care includes thinking that "old" people should just do without lifesaving treatment, for it costs too much. Doctors who treat patients when the government declares otherwise would be put in jail. He withdrew his nomination.... but remains an "adviser" to the President on the health care reform bill while he remains a highly paid policy adviser (lobbyist) to hospital, drug, pharmaceutical and other health care industry clients of Alston & Bird, the law and lobbying firm- a clear conflict of interest, if not a breaking of the law. He is attempting to evading lobbyist disclosure by renaming himself as a highly paid "senior adviser" to D.C.-based law firm/influence-peddling shop Alston & Bird. A "resource" is all he is, says he. Daschle lost his Senate seat after asserting a bogus property-tax homestead exemption claim on his $1.9 million D.C. mansion -- which he listed as his primary residence despite voting in South Dakota and claiming it as his primary residence in order to run for re-election.
Daschle was aware as early as June 2008 that he might have to pay back taxes for the use of a car and driver provided by a private equity firm, but he failed to inform the Obama transition team until weeks after Obama designated him the HHS nominee in mid-December 2008.
Nancy Killifer, former Treasury official, withdrew from consideration for Chief Performance Officer due to failure to pay unemployment taxes for her household help - a paltry $9000.
Charles Freeman, Obama's choice for a major intelligence post withdrew after it came to light that he is anti-Israel, and believes that China's Tienanmen Square massacre of about 2500 people who were demonstrating against their government showed great restraint. He has received many large donations from the House of Saud.
Gary Locke, another pick for Commerce Secretary, specialized in China for an international firm, has ties to campaign finance crook John Huang , and took illegal donations from monks and Chinese tycoons
William Lynn, Deputy Secretary of Defense, was a Raytheon lobbyist and donated $100,000 to Barack's campaign and the DNC. He was given a "waiver" from Barack's campaign pledge to keep lobbyists out of his government, especially when they actually lobbied in the same area in which they are placed in his government.
Patrick Gaspard, White House political affairs director (the same title held by Karl Rove in the Bush White House has been revealed as being from the radical advocacy group ACORN. Evidence shows that years before he joined the Obama administration, Gaspard was ACORN boss Bertha Lewis's political director in New York. Lewis, the current "chief organizer" or CEO of ACORN, was head of New York ACORN from at least 1994 through 2008, when she took over as national leader of ACORN. With Gaspard at work in the White House, Lewis might as well be speaking to President Obama through an earpiece as he goes about his daily business ruining the country.
Mark Patterson, chief of staff to Timothy Geithner, was a lobbyist for Goldman Sachs who received money from TARP
Neil Wolin, another lobbyist and a Division President of Hartford Financial who sought bailout money, is now Deputy Counsel for Economic Activity
Hillary Clinton, Obama's Secretary of State, is compromised by the many millions of dollars her husband has taken from foreign countries such as Saudi Arabia for the Clinton Library. This opens her up for conflict of interest or blackmail....
Debbie Stabenow, senator from Michigan, is advocating the non-fair, misnamed Fairness Doctrine in spite of the fact that her husband Thomas Athans established the far left radio show Democracy Radio. When it failed he became a chief executive of Air America - which has also failed to find a large audience for it's left-leaning programs. Therefore, she is compromised in her efforts to shut down conservative radio programming. It's the wrong thing to do in any case.
Charlie Wrangle, whose committee, Ways and Means, sets tax regulations, has 4 Harlem rent-controlled apartments which he claims, all of them as primary residences - against the law. He paid his son $80,000 for a $100 website construction. He used, again against the law, his Congressional letterhead to solicit funds for his Charles Wrangle Center for Public Service. He failed to pay taxes on $75,00 of income from his Dominican Republic condo rentals. He claimed yet another primary residence in D.C, for which he is ineligible. He is leading the charge for a new 5.4-percentage point income tax surcharge and recently called it “the moral thing to do.” The House Ethics Committee is investigating Mr. Rangel on no fewer than six separate issues, including his failure to report the no-interest loan on his Punta Cana villa and his use of rent-stabilized apartments. It is also investigating his fund raising for the Charles B. Rangel Center for Public Service at City College of New York. New York labor attorney Theodore Kheel, one of the principal owners of the Punta Cana resort, is an important donor to the Rangel Center. Mr. Rangel, who is facing investigations by two House subcommittees into his personal finances and fund-raising, filed amended financial disclosure forms on Aug. 12 acknowledging that he had omitted an array of assets, business transactions and sources of income. They include a Merrill Lynch Global account valued between $250,000 and $500,000; tens of thousands of dollars in municipal bonds; and $30,000 to $100,000 in rent from a multifamily brownstone building he owned on West 132nd Street.
The Harlem Dem now admits that he failed to disclose several million dollars in income and business deals during those years -- including up to $1 million from the sale of a building on 132nd Street. How could that happen? Charlie won't say. Even stranger, city records show that Rangel still owns the building. How can that be, if Rangel sold it, as he now claims? Maybe the records are wrong, but Charlie's not talking.
Now it is Rangel's committee which seeks to reduce legal defenses and increase fines and penalties on taxpayers undergoing IRS scrutiny. Except for himself, of course.
Senator Christopher Dodd, after denying any part in the assurance of bonuses being paid to AIG executives, admitted that it was HIS amendment to the Stimulus Bill that contractually gives them those bonuses. He is second only to Barack Obama in campaign monies received from AIG - at over $100,000. Also, after denying the truth for many months, he has now admitted that he received below-market mortgage rates on his two homes by Countrywide Financial, and has said he will renegotiate those loans. This is a clear violation of Senate ethics, if not the law...
Sonia Sotomayor: Obama's first Supreme Court appointee famously said: "I would hope that a wise Latina woman with the richness of her experiences would, more often than not, reach a better conclusion." In other words, she would use her background and not the law to determine her judgements....
I will leave it to you to decide which of these characters fit the liberal Camille Paglia’s March 14 column “Blame Everyone-Anyone But Man In Charge” labels as flacks, goons, fixers, smart alecks, provincial rubes, lackeys, yes men, tax cheats, polished turds, fellow Ivy League Affirmative Action admits, rank and file goosesteppers, or oafish bunch of frat boys.
