From the debate: You want the Affordable Care Act repealed. Why?
21:56:20: ROMNEY:
I sure do.....
And the number of small
businesses I've gone to that are saying they're dropping insurance
because they can't afford it, the cost of health care is just
prohibitive. And -- and we've got to deal with cost.
And, unfortunately,
when -- when -- when you look at Obamacare, the Congressional Budget
Office has said it will cost $2,500 a year more than traditional
insurance. So it's adding to cost. And as a matter of fact, when the
president ran for office, he said that, by this year, he would have
brought down the cost of insurance for each family by $2,500 a family.
Instead, it's gone up by that amount. So it's expensive. Expensive
things hurt families. So that's one reason I don't want it.
Second reason, it cuts $716 billion from Medicare to pay for it. I want to put that money back in Medicare for our seniors.
Number three, it puts
in place an unelected board that's going to tell people ultimately what
kind of treatments they can have. I don't like that idea.
Fourth, there was a
survey done of small businesses across the country, said, what's been
the effect of Obamacare on your hiring plans? And three-quarters of them
said it makes us less likely to hire people. I just don't know how the
president could have come into office, facing 23 million people out of
work, rising unemployment, an economic crisis at the -- at the kitchen
table, and spend his energy and passion for two years fighting for
Obamacare instead of fighting for jobs for the American people. It has
killed jobs.
And the best course for
health care is to do what we did in my state: craft a plan at the state
level that fits the needs of the state. And then let's focus on getting
the costs down for people, rather than raising it with the $2,500
additional premium.
Right now, the CBO says up to 20 million people will lose their
insurance as Obamacare goes into effect next year. And likewise, a study
by McKinsey and Company of American businesses said 30 percent of them
are anticipating dropping people from coverage.
Mr. President, Mr.
President, you're entitled as the president to your own airplane and to
your own house, but not to your own facts. All right, I'm not going to
cut education funding. I don't have any plan to cut education funding
and -- and grants that go to people going to college. I'm planning on
(inaudible) to grow. So I'm not planning on making changes there.
But you make a very
good point, which is that the place you put your money just makes a
pretty clear indication of where your heart is. You put $90 billion into
-- into green jobs. And I -- look, I'm all in favor of green energy.
$90 billion, that would have -- that would have hired 2 million
teachers. $90 billion.

[We can clearly see that this President has for a long time been willing to lie to our faces in order to gain the support of one of his constituencies - the truth doesn't matter.] In one of the previously unseen segments in that 2007 video
the mainstream media insist we had all seen, then Sen. Barack Obama
channeled his inner Kanye West
before a group of ministers, suggesting that race influenced
that federal government’s response to Hurricane Katrina, unlike the
Sept. 11 terrorist attacks and Hurricane Andrew. ”Somehow the people
down in New Orleans they don’t care about as much,” Obama told the
crowd, criticizing the government for not waiving the Stafford Act for
New Orleans as it had for the disasters in New York and Florida.
However, the federal government
had waived the Stafford
Act’s requirement that New Orleans contribute 10 percent toward the cost
of reconstruction and cleanup efforts just 10 days before Obama
delivered his speech. Not only that —
Obama was among 14 senators who voted against the bill.

On the day before a state law mandated that school districts pay no more
than 80 percent of teacher health care costs, the Flushing Public
School Board signed off on a two-year union contract that forced
taxpayers to pay up to 90 percent of those costs. Flushing is one of a number of school districts that signed multi-year
deals that spared its teachers from having to contribute more to their
health care as required by
Public Act 152.

The UK Telegraph writes: Barack Obama was
dreadful in the first presidential debate. He seemed confused and hesitant; his thoughts were incoherent.
There seems to be confusion among the Left as to how such a thing
could have happened. How could such a celebrated orator underperform?
The answer is simple: Obama did not underperform.
Mr Obama is in the midst of an election campaign he is
attempting to win without policies.
He claims he will cut debt despite having ruled out reductions to the
most significant area of spending, welfare entitlements. He wants to
avoid war in the Middle East, which is commendable, but not, in itself, a
policy. He is against a "war on women",
he is against the Boy Scouts of America banning gays.
This isn't anywhere close to being a prospectus for governing the
world's most important country through a period of crisis – it's a
manifesto for election to a student union.

A Philadelphia high schooler says she was humiliated
after her teacher told her to lose her Gov. Mitt Romney T-shirt
comparing it to “wearing a KKK shirt.”
Samantha Pawlucy, a 16-year-old
sophomore at Charles Carroll High School in the Port Richmond section of
the city, says she wore a pink Mitt Romney/Paul Ryan T-shirt last
Friday during the school's dress down day.
No one made an issue of Samantha’s political T-shirt until she got to geometry class.
"The teacher told me to get out of the classroom, I said no," Samantha said.

According to the sources, a taxpayer watchdog
group conducted a nine-month investigation into presidential and
congressional fundraising and has uncovered thousands of cases of credit
card solicitations and donations to Obama and Capitol Hill, allegedly
from unsecure accounts, and many from overseas. That might be a
violation of federal election laws.
The Obama campaign has received hundreds of
millions in small dollar donations, many via credit card donations
through their website. On Thursday, the campaign announced a record
September donor haul of $150 million.
At the end of the 2008
presidential campaign, the Obama-Biden effort was hit with a similar
scandal. At the time, the Washington Post reported that the Obama
campaign let donors use "largely untraceable prepaid credit cards that
could potentially be used to evade limits on how much an individual is
legally allowed to give or to mask a contributor's identity." http://washingtonexaminer.com/article/2509895/#.UG6-oVEpWnH

David Lowery says he believes he was threatened during a phone
conversation with Louis Raymond, the Illinois political director for
Obama for America. Lowery says he doesn’t personally support the president because he’s
not addressing issues important to the black community. He said he was
explaining that to Raymond when the Obama campaign official told him,
“You know what? I know everything about you.”
Lowery says Raymond added, “We’ve been watching you, and since you don’t support Obama, we’ll deal with you,” before hanging up.

Weeks before the presidential election, President Barack Obama’s
administration faces mounting opposition from within the ranks of U.S.
intelligence agencies over what career
officers say is a “cover up” of intelligence information about terrorism in North Africa.
Intelligence held back from senior officials and the public includes
numerous classified reports revealing clear Iranian support for
jihadists throughout the tumultuous North Africa and Middle East region,
as well as notably widespread al Qaeda penetration into Egypt and Libya
in the months before the deadly Sept. 11 terrorist attack on the U.S.
consulate in Benghazi.

[Scene from our degradation of America]: Artwork made from semen is causing a stir in Grand Rapids, Mich.
after the paintings were included in a city-wide art competition —
partially funded by tax dollars.
The three paintings were created using slightly more than four ounces of semen infected with HIV, according to the artist —
EA Conner.

“These
paintings were created as a reminder that we all come in contact with
people every day who are HIV positive,” he wrote on his
ArtPrize profile page. “The
red spots on the Scorpion and Bio-hazard paintings are actual HIV
positive semen and the gold spots on the Red Ribbon painting are HIV
positive.”

More than three weeks after attacks in this city killed the U.S.
ambassador to Libya and three other Americans, sensitive documents
remained only loosely secured in the remains of the U.S. mission here on
Wednesday, offering visitors easy access to delicate details about
American operations in Libya.
Documents detailing weapons collection efforts, emergency
evacuation protocols, the full internal itinerary of Ambassador J.
Christopher Stevens’s trip and the personnel records of Libyans who were
contracted to secure the mission were among the items scattered across
the floors of the looted compound when a Washington Post reporter and a
translator visited Wednesday.

Everytime you think the administration's failure in Benghazi couldn't get worse, it gets worse. Eli Lake reports
that in the six months leading up to the September 11 attack on the US
consulate in Benghazi, security was not only not strengthened, it was
actually reduced.
The bombshell comes via Jason Chaffetz who leads a subcommittee of
the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform committee which
is looking into the attack. Chaffetz
says "The fully trained Americans who can deal with a volatile situation were reduced in the six months leading up to the attacks."
The State Department did not dispute the claim. Instead, a senior
official claimed Wednesday that cuts in security were routine given that
Benghazi was a war zone in 2011. However the suggestion that Benghazi
had become safer in the six months prior to September 11 is undercut by
the
pattern of attacks
on western outposts which led the British to abandon their consulate on
the same street. It is also belied by the State Department's own
strongly worded
travel advisory issued two weeks before the deadly attack.
